Located in the trendy Knox Districted area of Uptown Dallas

We are close to Downtown Dallas - the Arts District - Deep Ellum - Fair Park - the Science Center - Perot Science Museum – the West End District – the American Airlines Center - the Klyde Warren Park which is built over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway - George W. Bush Presidential Center and Library - Lower Greenville with all of its restaurants and nightclubs

Central Expressway (Hwy 75) is a few blocks away which provides easy access to the Dallas/Fort Worth highway system. Dallas also offers the Dart Rail Line; nearest station is Mockingbird and Central Expressway, approximately 1.5 miles away. The Dallas Dart Bus System has stops up and down McKinney Ave; there are stops at each end of the block from our building. Enterprise Rental Car is only a block north of the building. Of course, there are many different Uber drivers, Taxi Cab companies and there is an Airport Shuttle Service.

Great location

Clean, simple property. Great location. I didn't expect a toaster oven and refrigerator, so that was a nice plus. As well as a closet, cable TV and dedicated parking spot.

Exceptional property & owners!

Joan and Jerry are simply outstanding human beings, let alone host! They saved my new job which I relocated to Dallas for by making a change to their Internet router so my work laptop could connect and I could work. That is something they have never had to do as long as they have owned the property. That is going way above and beyond the call of duty and I think it deserves the highest respect and show the commitment of these hosts to do everything they can to ensure their guest are comfortable and happy. In fact I am returning on April 4th without even looking at any other places. Jerry & Joan will always be my host if they have availability. Super hosts! Johnny

Amazing uptown short stays

It was very clean and in a perfect area of uptown . We could walk, ride bikes, to all the local parks, shops, restraunts and trader Joe's. My favorite. Jerry and Joan were extremely accommodating and they were a lot of fun to meet. The place was perfect size for two people and we really enjoyed the location and the flexibility when speaking with them about any type of issue or if we needed anything. Fully furnished w all the pots, pans etc,. everything you need to cook. The only problem is they were making changes w cable company. So we had to connect USB from lap top to tv. Other than that it was a very nice place and very safe. I highly recommend this place bc of the area and you are safe to walk out and around to the local areas that are all around the place. I will definitely stay there again. They take great pride and it's pristine condition and clean. Which is very important to me . ( Might suggest she needs a new mattress for the bed) it's a bit older and not very comfortable . I was ok. I just think it's probably time to invest in a good mattress. It was leaning to one side or the other. Again, tho I am a very picky person when it comes to the bed. I think very important for guests when it comes to bed and bathrooms. Overall I really enjoyed it there

My stay at studio 7A

Nice and private. The only thing that was a little annoying was all of the flood lights outside at night. Shutting the blinds did not keep the light out of the room snd made it hard to sleep. Besides that, I would stay there again. Very conveniently located to shops and restaurants.

Great Stay/Great Location

This was a cute little efficiency apartment is the heart of everything. Lots of shops and restaurants just a couple blocks over. Everything is within walking distance and it's a really nice area to walk around. The apartment is just perfect for a couple wanting to get away and enjoy some time alone together.

Just the basics

If you just need a place to lay your head, then this will do. About the size of a small dorm room with a twin bed big enough for one person. There was only one plug in the bathroom and it was located in an awkward spot on the light fixture. So I had to dry my hair by unplugging the window unit in the main area and using that outlet. Nuisance but not a deal breaker. Other than that, everything worked.

This is very much a family-run business my son Jerry is actively involved in running our 11 wonderful apartments. Hello, I am Joan. I was born in Czechoslovakia and I have lived in Czechoslovakia, Austria, Canada and now Dallas, TX. I have traveled extensively in Europe, Canada, Costa Rica and the United States. My favorite places are Tuscany, Italy; Prague, Czech Republic; Toronto, Canada; San Jose, Costa Rica; and southern California, plus Dallas. I speak fluent Czech, understand most Slavic languages, and even speak a little German. I enjoy life, exercise, the coasts and the beach, good dining, theater, music and travel. I love my work managing my apartments and caring for my tenants and guests.

Fabulous neighborhood that's great now and getting better by the day. There are lots to do in the area; there are plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Trader Joe's supermarket less than two blocks away. Also, there are many areas to go for a walk, a run or a bike ride if you wish.

A Great Place to live.

The apartment is located in the heart of the trendy Knox District area on the cusp of Highland Park. There is a lot to do within safe walking distance. This is a great area in which to be hungry. GREAT NEWS! Just opened is Trader Joe’s just over 2 blocks away. At your fingertips is a wide selection of fresh foods and groceries along with great prepared meals. If you don’t feel like cooking, there are about 30 restaurants, bistros, bars and other entertainment options within easy walking distance. You will discover a wide variety of food choices and restaurant styles to pick from. Some restaurants are cozy and intimate, some with outside seating and other places that help to bring the night life alive. It is too hard to describe how vibrant and alive this community is; along with being known to be one of the friendliest pedestrian areas in Dallas. We can’t forget to mention the plethora of shops, boutiques and stores including a large Apple Computer Store, Crate and Barrel, Z Gallery and other exclusive shops for that special something to wear, and more.

After enjoying some guilty pleasures there is the Katy Trail, the backbone of our community. Only three blocks away, it is a 3 1/2 mile long walking, jogging and biking trail that goes from SMU to Downtown Dallas. The Katy Trail is nicely paved and landscaped; it gently rolls through the beautiful communities of Uptown Dallas. Hundreds of people take advantage of the Katy Trail every day. Our guests have commented “we didn’t need our car” or “we’re glad we brought our bikes”.

For those guests wishing to go further afield, our apartments are centrally located in the trendy Knox District of Dallas, adjacent to Highland Park, one of Dallas' premier neighborhoods. With easy access to the Central Expressway; it is only 7 minutes to downtown Dallas, 15 minutes to North Dallas, and downtown Plano.
