We had a great 6 night stay along Bear Creek.The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. The views were great and the sound of the creek was so relaxing. Fishing was good and the surrounding area offers alot to explore. Our pup loved the place . Barry the host was friendly and readily available

Have stayed here for several years with family members as an annual fishing get together. The home is always clean and ready when we arrive. There was firewood split for our stay for campfires. Barry your host is prompt in replying to messages and helpful.

Such a lovely hidden gem! We came here on a birthday getaway for my husband and it was everything we hoped and more: incredibly quiet, trout fishing in the stream, lovely hikes on the trails, and SO PEACEFUL. Barry’s communication was prompt and clear, and the cabin was clean and well stocked. We especially loved nights around the campfire and swimming in the creek. 10/10 would recommend if you need a beautiful place to unwind and recharge.

This is a little spot of heaven here on earth. I think we are going on 8th year staying here and have already booked again for next year. Great outdoor spot along the creek with walking trail, great fishing and an awesome fire pit for nighttime family gatherings.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 2 nights. Upon our arrival Barry met us and had already started a fire in the serene firepit area looking out at the creek. The property was manicured beautifully with mowed walking trails that you could tell were just cut. Everything about this place was perfect for our family- very clean and well stocked with essentials. We enjoyed fishing and watching for wildlife on the property and canoed/kayaked down the Kickapoo River nearby. The views were stunning! We can’t wait to plan another trip back to this wonderful retreat!

My wife and I had a great weekend at Bear Creek Retreat. Barry was an amazing host and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be adding it to our list of places to visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bear Creek Retreat. This is our 3rd visit and it was great as always. The property is clean and welcoming and the host Barry is friendly and responsive. We look forward to another visit to his wonderful getaway.

We fly-fished the stream, built fires every night under stars, enjoyed the early morning mist and appreciated meeting Barry, who is a great and accommodating host. The cabin suited us perfectly, comfortably, and was just far enough away from but accessible to La Farge and Viroqua. Loved it!

Everything was perfect. It was very clean and Internet was great. The property has great walking trails and fishing was good. Very peaceful after a a great wedding weekend! We will definitely stay again during pheasant season.

Wonderful Stay!

Had a great time at this place even though the temperatures were in the upper 90's. The creek was refreshing for a dip. The property is really nice, well taken care of and has lots to do. Definitely a place I would recommend to others!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything needed for an awesome experience. Wonderful firepit and seating area with an unlimited supply of wood. The beautiful scenery and babbling stream on the property make for an ideal get away. Barry is great, accessible and accommodating!

Once again we had a fantastic stay at the Bear Creek Retreat. This has been an annual reunion for our family to trout fish, explore the driftless, and spend time together. Thank you Barry for sharing your special retreat. The place was perfect with plenty of comfortable beds, outdoor fireplace and plenty of firewood, and ample space to spread out and relax.
