About this property
Nicely Renovated. In The Heart of Kailua-Kona, Just Steps From the Ocean.
Hawai’i is open and Kona is more beautiful than ever. We are using CDC cleaning guidelines. Our place has cleaned ductwork AND repaired and wonderfully cool AC. We have purchased new clothes washer and refrigerator. All we are missing is you! 2 Bedrooms and 2Bathrooms, means you and you friends or family will have comfort and privacy. (Sleeps 2-4) Almost everything in this condo is new. The beds are queens, one is pillow top and one is firm and are equipped with luxury high thread count linens. The couch is a queen foldout. There are two full bathrooms, one with a bathtub, for the convenience of your guests. This Condo has a fully equipped kitchen. There are two BBQ decks for grilling. We have snorkeling masks, fins and other beach equipment. The lanai has a partial view of Kailua Bay and Kona town. The east bedroom has a window with a gorgeous view of Hualalai mountain, if you are an early riser. Great location near the ocean side of the condo but away from the noise of the nightclub/restaurant. One minute walk to the ocean where you can snorkel, fish, surf or swim. Kona is a paradise for walkers/hikers. You can walk old airport beach and there is a Keiki (kids)swim beach nearby. Every morning you can walk down to the Pier or to several areas where the locals surf. The swim area used for the Ironman Triathlon is right across the street where you can swim the same route they do or just paddle around and look at the fish. SUP is popular and rentable near the pier. The Ahu’ena Heiau of King Kamehameha is on the other side of the Pier and looks as it did when the missionaries first arrived on this Island. There is a recreational and safe beach there also. The site of this condo is right on the routes of Independence Day and Kamehameha’s birthday parades. It is front and center for the start and finish of the Ironman championship. There are street fairs and musical performances are common on the grounds of the Palace. The Kailua Bay is where King Kamehameha and other Hawaiian royalty chose to retire. You may want to too. In the morning you can see spinner dolphins offshore, and a little bit later you can watch the deep sea fishermen offload, or the cruise ship set off. If you want more civilized activities, the restaurants and clubs are outstanding. The old palace is right across the street where they offer native arts and music as well as tours. You are next door to the first church built in the Hawaiian islands, a beautiful lava stone structure with Koa wood interior. After touring, there is a cooling salt water pool on grounds and covered, secured parking.
The Big island is the best for active vacationers. It has everything from a live volcano to an active truck and rodeo crowd. You can beach bum, snorkel, scuba or zipline and ride horses. You can even go hunting here, deep sea fish, watch the stars from a huge telescope and snow ski down a volcano. The Big Island can be your paradise.

Our host was very responsive to any questions and made us feel welcome. The location of this condo is very convenient. We could walk to many restaurants and shops. The unit was very clean and quiet
Clean, comfortable condo in a prime location with huge lanai and ocean views. Walking distance to restaurants and waterfront with wonderful sushi across the street. Each room had separate air conditioning and was so quiet. Would definitely stay here again !
Great location, older property that could need some updating like the garage structure and common areas. Pool was not operational due to weather, water leakage in unit after rain downfall. Kitchen items could be reassessed as to what might be needed, i.e. a small air fryer would be helpful so the oven wasn't really needed. Location was close to shops, restaurants and walking distance to beaches, perfect for basing out of for day trips.

There was a 100 year storm in The entire Hawaiian Islands most people had some water issues with this unusual storm The high winds blew a glass table into our pool which was cleaned out promptly. By the time this guest left. They are working in our parking garage but we feel lucky to have parking in downtown Kona. There is plenty of parking and we were glad very little water went in our garage. We are unable to account for catastrophic events but this was a very rare storm.
Located very close to much shopping, beach and restaurants. Condo had everything we needed including things for beach fun. Very clean and organized, well lit and somewhat quiet. Truly enjoyed our stay!
The condo was exactly as promised and great with two bedrooms and two bathrooms for my friend and I. Patti was very helpful with questions. The location was terrific to walk around town and get to Kailua Pier. Clean, great kitchen and huge lanai. We fell in love with Kona and The Big Island and plan to return.
Communication with host was excellent. Location is the best, steps away from Main Street but still quiet. Lots of little items from kitchen to beach equip to make stay better. Would definitely stay again and recommended to others. Free parking is a bonus.
Property was clean and comfortable. Easy to access. Fantastic location, close to downtown Kona, with restaurants and shopping just down the elevator and out the back door. The property was exactly as show in the pictures. Communication was easy with the owner.
The property is very central to shops and restaurants along Alii Drive. Communication with the owner of the condo was excellent with her being very helpful.
Patti was a delight to work with. I feel like we very much got our money’s worth at this place. Accommodations were very comfortable and it’s in a great location. We’d stay there again.
Directions to this condo were spot on.The location is right on Ali'i Ave. So walking the shops was easy plus it is basically across the street from the ocean. Restaurants are very close and abundant. The condo was very clean and nice for all 4 of us. I would not hesitate to come back and visit this place.it is very close to Walmart and Safeway as well.Overall we had a fantastic stay.
The location is perfect. Just walk down from the apartment, and it gives you access one of the happening places in Kona. The apartment is wonderful, with everything you need to take care of your family.
My friend and I stayed here last year and we've already booked a reservation for next year.
We were able to walk to just about anywhere we needed to go.
We really appreciate having our own bedroom and bathroom and air conditioning !

I live in Colorado and love the Big Island because it has mountains just like home. It also reminds me of my Colorado home because it has opportunities for fun social activities as well as natural unspoiled beauty. I love that Hawaii has both mountains and ocean. I like to be active and there are lots of opportunities for adventure. I can snorkle the beautiful tourquoise ocean or watch a live volcano. No where else could you do both on the same day! My place in Kona has great access, but it is also has all the comforts of my own home. I can refresh, relax and cool off here. Owning this home in Kona on the Big Island is a dream come true.
Why they chose this property
I chose this property because its location is ideal for families and active vacationers who want to experience everything they can. This place includes everything I want out of a vacation. The ocean and town activities nearby are great and I appreciate having air conditioned comfort when I return home. Having a condo in town means that sometimes part of the group can go one place and part can go somewhere else. This is great if I want to go shopping while my friends are out trying to catch giant fish. We love to explore the island, but it's fun to start your day talking to locals over coffee at one of the nearby restaurants. I also love the story of King Kamehameha living out his final days here in Kona and all the historical sites that are associated with that time period.
What makes this property unique
Kona Plaza is just steps away from many activities but this condo is also comfortable to come home to after traveling around the island. I love the covered parking, in Kona it is such a convenience!
