Venga a disfrutar de la paz y la tranquilidad que ofrece esta maravillosa casa de vacaciones en South Nags Head. Un excelente lugar para pasar unas inolvidables vacaciones en Outer Banks, esta casa ofrece vistas de Ocean to Sound y la playa está a una corta distancia a pie (el acceso a la playa se encuentra a 150 yardas al norte en Hargrove St.).

I know this was early in the vaycation season but many screens were laying on porch. Seems outside maintenance could have been better. Found a couple of plumbing leaks which were reported at checkout.

Beach Get Away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The FunTiki was the perfect size for a family of 12. The bedrooms were comfortable for adults and children.The swimming pool was an added bonus that lured the children off of the beach. The beach was in very easy access and the carts provided made beach gear transportation easy. The kitchen was well supplied with all the dishes and utensils needed for meal preparation. Having two dish washers really helped with after-meals clean up. Comfortable decks for quiet lounging.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is amazing. Spacious and clean. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The location was great with just a short walk to the beach. The pool and air conditioning were lifesavers with daytime temps reaching into the 90’s. The only negatives were that the grill was too small for grilling for 15 occupants and the kitchen was poorly stocked with cooking utensils, silverware and serving utensils (namely large and small spoons). Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay here and would gladly choose this property again.

Clean - Updates Needed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The game room, pool area & hot tub were enjoyed by all. The outside shower was nice after beach days.The overall consensus of the group (15 of us) was that we spent a lot of money on a house that needs some updates. That said, we understand that salt-air is corrosive and in OBX the proximity to beach is really what we paid for. Our group was disappointed with such a late checkin 5:30p when all other rentals we’ve stayed in got us in @12p-1p with no additional fee to do so. We paid over 11k for the week to feel cheated out of a day. Old box tv’s in the bedrooms that put off feedback was disappointing. Minimal WOW factor for 11k for the week.

Amazing week at Funtiki

Reviewer Comments: We are a group of adults who consider ourselves a friend family who sadly don't see each other as much as we would like as we have gotten older, people have moved, children have come into our lives and we try to spend a week each year together catching up, relaxing and spending time together. This year we settled on the Funtiki and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. The pool was great for afternoons when we didn't want to haul everything to the beach. We were walking distance of beach access, Fishheads (our groups favorite pier), close to grocery stores so getting stocked up for the week was a breeze. There was plenty of parking for all of the cars and a few porches to choose from to sit together during the evenings. The only negative, was there wasn't a lot of outside furniture and the pieces that were there weren't in the best condition, but we understood it was end of the season and once we reported the items, Beach Realty came and took the broken pieces away within hours. Perfect rental for a big group, lots of space and fantastic location.

Good location, mosquitos bad!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was nice and the layout very accommodating for many people. Some of the mattresses are very hard. We had to replace some light bulbs and batteries in remotes to get things to work. The fridge in the kitchen broke the first day there. The Beach Realty guy was nice but then the contracted repair guy never called, came into the home and startled my adult kids. He announced the fridge couldn't b fixed and left. The pool area was nice but hot tub was crawling with mosquitoes in the evening making the area impossible to use. The hot tub is in a screened in porch except the door was gone. House was a short walk to beach and there was a sidewalk to use when it wasn't flooded out.Best part, we could bring our dogs! I wouldn't have an issue staying again but think there are a few things that could easily b improved upon.

Family Vacation with our four legged friends

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good Location, nice being able to take the dogs. Really enjoyed the pool, hot tub & pool table. Sat on front deck & watched ocean daily. Nice selection of beds & their location. Kitchen well supplied but need to update cooking utensils. Most rooms need a fresh coat of paint, one bathroom had paint peeling off wall. Kitchen table, washer, dryer need replaced. No ice maker upstairs, downstairs frig needs freezer shelf. Musty smell downstairs. Nice decks but all need cleaned. Adirondack chairs nice but need regular chairs too. Maintenance issues addressed. With fixes would recommend to friends but not in current condition. Really enjoyed Tale of the Whale, Neptunes & Cedar River Seafood. Drove ourselves on Corolla Beach to see Wild Horses, Oraccoke Ferry & Cape Hatteras, always a great place, love the lighthouses.

Thanksgiving Week 2018

Rating Details: The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We sent Tiffany at Beach Rentals a detailed report of issues we liked and did not like about the property. We loved the location, however, we choose not to stay there again unless we have assurances that all of the issues are fixed and that the property was properly cleaned before our arrival. If we have to spend time cleaning before we can feel comfortable using the house, we expect to be allowed to come earlier and be paid what you normally pay cleaners - not have a discount on the price. We have cleaned cottages before and I would be ashamed to claim to have cleaned a cottage and it be found in the shape it was in. It would have been nice to know before hand that there was no heating unit for the bottom floor as the bedroom/bathroom was very cold. We could have brought a space heater. The person in that room did bring an electric blanket which helped with the bed but not the bathroom.

Some pros, but definitely in need of some TLC.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Starting with the pros, the beach access wasn't as far as suspected - about 4-5 houses down and across the street. This house is also in a stellar location - one mile either way to Jeanette's (where we took in the surf competition) or the Outer Banks pier, and it's an easy walk! We liked the layout of the rooms as well. While there were amenities (pool, billiards, shuffleboard, hot tub, games, video trivia), it was painfully clear that this house is outdated and could use a fresh walk through before guests arrive. There are still tube TVs in the bedrooms; the board games are from the 1980's (not a joke); the shuffleboard had no sand; and there was even a telephone that I can only assume has been up since 1990 in the basement. The bed linens were ripped in multiple rooms; light bulbs were out; and the light fixture on the back of the house was broken. All in all, I think the house has a lot of potential and is in a wonderful location - and I'm really glad it's pet friendly (a huge perk for us!) - but I don't think we would stay there again.

Disappointing

Reviewer Comments: Honestly, while the location, the pool, hot tub, and outdoor shower were all fine...this was the worst house we've rented in our 30 years of going to OBX; all of us were disappointed. Unfortunately, it was also our first rental with Beach Realty. The paint in this house needs a new coat pretty badly...the electronics are outdated...upstairs there's a door off the cabinets in the living room, (cabinets where even older electronics are thrown and stored). But worst of all was the kitchen. We love to cook, but there were hardly any acceptable pots, pans, or frying pans. Most of them, we would never cook in. They were old, teflon was flaking off the insides of them, etc. Some of the bigger utensils in the drawer were rusted, so we didn't use many of them, constantly improvising alternatives. On our way down, we learned that the house might not be ready until as late as 6:00 PM. (We were unaware of that possibility beforehand). Luckily, it was ready at 4:00. We had a great vacation, but the house was disappointing.

That being said, the house really needs. some upgrades to make the experience even better. The description of the house includes a screened in hot tub, but the lower screening is missing and the door is missing, giving bugs ample access to the area. Some of the TV's need to be in a museum.

Wonderful Getaway

Our family and friends had such a wonderful experience with Vrbo and Beach Realty. Lynn, DJ and the rest of the Beach Realty staff were friendly and helpful and prompt with communication.

Great Place in a Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house has all you need from numerous amounts bedrooms and bathrooms with a swimming pool and game room. A covered hot tub and enough room to feel as if you are at home. The property location is great in Nags Head! Great place to stay. Will stay again!

Vacation Stay at 1022 Funtiki

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very clean. The location is good however, our family generally prefers to be at mile post 19 or even farther down the beach. Overall the house accommodated our needs. The beds were made when we arrived. The linen service never picked up the sheets and towels from the previous week so the boxes were kind of in the way. My only criticism of the house is the kitchen; coffee pots need replaced (brew very slowly). Pans were non-stick but need replaced. It also lacked utensils such as measuring cups, it had metal spatulas vice rubber or plastic, (probably why the pans need replaced), no wick, or no serving spoons. We did make do with what was available. Again, overall we enjoyed our stay in the house and I would recommend it to a friend or relative.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage is very nice and in good condition. Living room - dining room - Kitchen have a lot of space. The location is excellent except for beach access which is not difficult to find. It was a reasonable price for a property this large, this close to the beach and located in what we consider the nicest in area in the Outer Banks.

Reviewer Comments: floor plan and location were great. rooms were good size. comforters and pillows were worn. living room furniture was old and worn. doors needed cleaning or painted around knobs. kitchen table was awesome. 2 dishwashers and refrigerators were excellent.

Relaxing Beach Time

A little disappointed there was not toilet paper in each bathroom and that there were no paper towels in the house upon arrival. The gifts were nice. Some of the board games are missing items and need to be checked. The game room is a plus as is the hot tub. Pool notopen yet.
