Very nice but...

It is a beautiful home....but difficult to find. You have to take a side road down a very narrow little drive almost hidden to get to the house. There was no toilet paper or kleenex or dishwasher detergent at the house. The air conditioner was duffylt

Spacious and Clean.

Great place for our ladies get away. Open floor plan indoors or outdoors. However no table or any chairs are available for sitting outdoors. We brought our own. We only had a handful of towels available for 10 guests. HOWEVER, once we got ahold of the property manager we got what we needed. We will be back if possible.

Nice, spacious house, not well equipped

The house itself is big and in decent shape. The main issue we found was that it isn't really set up to be a rental, but more staged for selling. Everyday things you need for a few days stay like hand towels or dish towels are not available. Bedding and linens are very sparse. The kitchen in particular isn't set up to do any realcooking....no mixing bowls, only 1 small pot, no serving bowls, etc. There are a few old skillets and plenty of spoons/spatulas but that's about it.

Terrible experience

We stayed at this house last year in February and it was great. There was a grill that was locked and we weren’t able to use it but other than that we really enjoyed the house. However, this time around, the house was falling apart. The door to enter the house had a problem with the doorknob continuously getting jammed and making it difficult to get in. The cabinet door that covered the microwave was completely torn off. The knob on the dryer for laundry was broken so it couldn’t be opened. I contacted the property owner prior to our stay to confirm if we’d be able to use the grill this time and she told me it was missing pieces which is why it’s locked and not able to be used. So we ended up taking our own. I also asked her if we could have a later check out because the original time was 10am she said it’s an extra $200 to check out at 2pm which is ridiculous. We also had an ant problem upon arrival. There were ants all over the windowsill and granite top in the kitchen. Overall, we had a terrible experience with this rental and we will not be returning.

We understand you were asked to pay a late check-out fee since you intended to stay after, but we weren't able to collect it. It is common for vacation rental owners to implement such fees in order to accommodate guests checking in soon after your scheduled check-out time. The check out time is set at 10am so the cleaners have ample time to ensure the home is meticulous for upcoming guests. When guests don't check-out on time, it poses a challenge for the cleaners, especially for such a large property like this. The owners work hard to ensure guests have the optimal stay and they appreciate guests who give them the opportunity to address any concerns ahead of time. Inaccurate listing of amenities and furniture

Our families stayed at this house for the weekend and attempted to have a positive experience despite the fact that there were many disappointments we encountered. While looking to book a house for one weekend in the month of June, it was important for our families to look for a place that had an outside sitting area with patio furniture and a cozy and inviting backyard to hang out at. We booked this specific house solely because we loved what we saw in the pictures posted on the website and the details listed in the descriptions. Upon arrival to the house, we immediately discovered many missing items and things that were stated the house has, but in actuality didn't have them. We were very disappointed. Many details of the pictures and descriptions on the website did not match with what we actually found on the property. There were absolutely NO patio furniture on the decks outside. This was our biggest disappointment. The website indicated that the house also has a game room and games, adding that there is also a game console for the kids. The house does not have a game room; there are no games to play, and no game console anywhere to be found. In the description of the house, and also on one of the pictures of the kitchen, on the countertop, it was very clearly stated and shown that there is a Keurig machine. The adults in our party are all coffee drinkers. We had brought our favorite Kcups to enjoy together, however there was no Keurig coffee machine anywhere to be found. We called the owner the first night to inquire about the Keurig machine, and the owner said that she has never owned nor has used a Keurig Coffee maker and that the house does not have a Keurig machine for us. Yet, the picture on the website clearly shows a keurig machine in the kitchen and in the amenities. It was evident the refrigerator had not been cleaned for a very long time. Many of the food items were old and had expired. This old and expired food generates bacteria and if it is left unattended for such a long time, the bacteria could spread to the food that prospective guests bring in with them. In addition, having a refrigerator with so much old food doesn't allow the guests the refrigerator space to store their foods brought in with them. Guests are there to enjoy a relaxing getaway, not clean out a dirty refrigerator. On a positive note, this house is big and spacious with the 3 car garage space. We would not book this house again.

This home listing was absolutely amazing. The location wasn’t that hard to get to once u look at the layout of the street. One thing I would say is just give a tad bit more info on where the trash cans were. Maybe it was me but I couldn’t find them. Outside of that, amazing I’m definitely booking again soon!!

EXCELLENT PROPERTY

We really enjoyed this property l!! It is very different than most as it is all on one level with the exception of the loft which was huge. Usually there are stairs stairs and more stairs in lake arrowhead homes, This one is only one flight of stairs to gain access. It is also uniques as they allow you to use the garages (3) which are also huge, you can probably park 2 compact cars in one garage. The rooms are the biggest I’ve seen there and have plenty of room for air beds for extra sleeping. The master bedroom has a huge tub that’s almost like a small pool, the kids loved it! One bedroom has a bathroom in it as well. Two other bedrooms have 2 beds each and the loft has a bed and a roll away, usually roll always have terrible mattresses but this one was great and comfortable. I would highly recommend this home for large/ multiple families. They only thing you should bring is extra blankets and if your cooking for large groups maybe some big pans but we made do with what was there. MANY THANKS ANA for sharing your beautiful home!!

Could be better

Overall it was a nice stay. The description of the property did not match entirely. I remember reading there were supposed to be tables for outdoor dining but there were not. The kitchen cabinets were poorly done so it was very hard to open each cabinet door. The floor was very dirty when we first got there. I think directions to get to the house would have been nice because we drove by the small street quite a few times, the house is not visible from the big street you're on.

A good relaxing time with friends

Beautiful home with lots of space, we had a really relaxing time. It wasn’t as clean as we expected and the BBQ was locked that why my only 4 stars, but the rest worked perfectly. Thank you again for letting us stay.

Peaceful and roomy

This was my first time staying in a house instead of hotel/resort. The owner is kind, reachable and responds very quickly. My family and I enjoyed the spacious house and the fact that it was only 15 minutes of walking from a place called Tavern Bay. Amenities such as a big refrigerator, 3 car parking garage, jacuzzi tub, and washing/drying machine on location were the icing on cake. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the city yet not completely off grid to rest and recharge!

We really enjoyed this home! We had 3 families with us and there was more then enough room for everyone! The kitchen had plenty of supplies and the fridge and freezer were huge! The kids were able to play in the snow in the neighborhood and it was close access to Santas village. We did have difficulty finding the location and GPS does not guide us straight to it. More personalized directions are required to find it. We were also told there was a private hot tub along with the jacuzzi tub, but we never saw it . The kids enjoyed the jacuzzi tub anyways. Perfect place for family gatherings and we plan on coming back!

Beautiful home, great kitchen for friends gathering with children. A little bit difficult to find down a steep hill. Definitely needs awd or 4 wheel drive and chains if snowing.

A few suggestions for improvement and your guest's comfort.

Too many stairs. Poorly designed kitchen. Who's idea was it to place that huge frig in the middle of the kitchen and limiting the space between it and the sink?? We loved the # of beds and baths and washer and dryer. Unused space like the office could be better utilized as a hang out area or a pool table. It was also difficult to control the environment ie temperature. Some posted instructions next to the thermostats would help.

We loved everything about the house. We did have to purchase an iron for the weekend, but that was the only down fall. The drive up the mountain was a bit much as well...especially if you have a fear of heights!

We found this home to be missing some essential, we called property manager and were told to go buy the missing items, this was not what I wanted to do. there was no : dish soap dishwasher soap kitchen towels coffee filters wash clothes (none) hand towels (only 2 provided for 4 bathrooms) no complimentary toiletries or wireless internet access as stated in your ad. private hot tub ? Where was that we didn't see a hot tub. Over all we did not feel that this home is worth what they are charging and does not make you feel welcome.

Weekend Getaway in beautiful Lake Arrowhead

I had a great time with my family in Lake Arrowhead. The house is beautiful and full of modern amenities. The kitchen was amazing. The kids enjoyed spending time outside on the deck and putting green. The house is very close to Lake Arrowhead village, we spent the weekend at the village and on the lake. Great way to relax after a long week in the city. Def recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend getaway.
