Great Long-Term Stay

Our family of 4 had a great time at this property. The rooftop is fantastic and gets a great breeze. The pool is great and needed if you walk home from town in the heat! The property is at the top of a decent hill - gradual at first and then a steep climb on rough terrain. We were there for 2.5 weeks and didn't have a car for most of our time. Our kids (5 & 7) were able to do the walk once or twice a day but it was tough and not possible during the day when it was so hot. The view is worth it, as is the fresh air that you don't get in town. A few tips from our experience:- You will run out of running water a few times, sometimes for 12 hours. Always have a backup 1L jug ready for those days. - The bottom of the pool is always very dirty. Use the skimmer to do what you can. Always check for creatures (we pulled out 3 dead tarantulas!)- The cooktop does not work, use the electric pan. It took 30 minutes to cook an egg - save your time :) - There are boogie boards and snorkelling goggles available. Ask Alejandro where to snorkel (for free) - we loved it. Overall we had a great time and we miss Samara terribly!

Hello Emily! Thank you so much for staying with us and your feedback. You and your family were amazing and we hope to see you again in the future! Since your stay we have replaced the front door✔️ Fixed the stove (manufacturer wiring issue)✔️ Bought a backup generator and extra water tank so no more water issues even if power and water goes out in town ✔️ I was not aware of the pool situation. We are getting more pool supplies to clean the pool between cleanings ✔️ Fixed the closet ✔️ We are always making improvements and have added additional seating and tables on the rooftop deck. We are working on additional landscaping and a better walking path to town below the pool. We are working on getting the road paved to the bottom for better access as well as additional storage for beach supplies and guests. Any future guests that might read this, always bring any issues to our attention so we can get them fixed as soon as possible. As noted we do have bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards, snorkels, even surf boards and fishing gear (ask Alejandro to check these items out or where to go). Amazing views of samara!! It is a 4 unit style apartments, two on the bottom two on the top so unless you are renting all 4 there's a chance you will have to share the pool and the awesome upstairs balcony floor.
