Small but fine – natural Swedish wooden house

Our natural, Swedish-style wooden house in red and white, complete with all the trimmings, offers 25 m² of space, featuring a huge loft double bed upstairs and a double sofa bed downstairs. <br>There’s a large covered terrace with patio furniture, a grill, games, a private lawn with an unobstructed view of the meadows, our historic thatched-roof cottage (just 300 years young), and much more.<br>Furthermore, there’s an idyllic village with a restaurant, an inn, cafes, and several swimming lakes in the immediate vicinity. Malente is 5 minutes away, Plön and Eutin are each 10–15 minutes away, and Lütjenburg and the Baltic Sea are 20 minutes away. Kiel, Lübeck, and Hamburg—all nearby. Bicycles can be easily rented nearby.<br>A peaceful haven for non-smokers, no pets allowed—a great environment for people with allergies.<br>Update 2025: You can now enjoy a brand-new, large double bed measuring 160x200 cm. It folds up easily, and underneath there’s a huge storage space for your personal belongings, etc. The new comfort mattress, along with numerous pillows, creates a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. Lighting, charging cables, outlets, and storage shelves—everything is provided.<br>Additionally, you now have the option to secure the large loft bed (180x200 cm) with a safety net. Setting it up and taking it down is quick and easy. <br>There is now a new weatherproof storage box for the patio cushions.<br>Update 2024: Our log cabin has undergone a complete renovation and modernization. The entirely new flooring includes underfloor heating throughout the house, individually adjustable in the bathroom and living area. New infrared/carbon radiators with hybrid functionality in the living area. The new bathroom has been brought up to date with all the latest amenities. The large sofa bed has been fitted with a new topper for even greater comfort. <br>The large solar panel system on our property now also supplies our holiday home with sustainable energy. <br>In 2022, a large carbon/infrared heater was installed above the sofa to make it cosy. We also added a new insect screen on the front door and new blackout pleated blinds on all windows. A large heated rug is also available for the colder months.<br> In 2022, new pleated blinds with blackout functionality were installed on all windows.<br>In 2020, the large patio was completely enclosed with glass, as was the kitchen window. This allows for comfortable fresh air in any weather. <br>In 2019, a stylish new sofa bed for two people was added.<br>In 2018, new lounge chairs and all the corresponding cushions were purchased. For the kitchen, a digital stainless-steel kettle with a ceramic coffee filter was added.<br>In 2017, all the patio furniture on the terrace was replaced.<br>In 2016, a Nespresso capsule machine and an LED reading light in the sleeping area were added.<br>In 2015, a private access road was built, significantly improving privacy. Loading and unloading the car parked in front of the property is now much easier and more convenient.<br>2014: Windows, doors, flooring, bathroom, water supply, exterior paint, ventilation, etc.—in short, almost everything is new and fresh for our guests.<br>Activities: We’re happy to help and can make reservations for you or put you in touch with providers for sailboat, canoe, or rowing boat rentals on one of the many lakes in our area; outdoor swimming pools or swimming spots on our lakes, as well as numerous indoor pools with wellness facilities. Nordic walking holds a special place in Malente and the surrounding area, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy it. Bicycles are easy to rent, and the natural surroundings are perfect for cycling. Hiking, with or without a guide, is possible here on numerous trails set amid beautiful nature. Other attractions include Hansa-Park in Sierksdorf, the Lake Aquarium in Timmdorfer-Strand, the Donkey Park, the high-rope course in Radlandsichten with its lovely farm café, handcar rides along the old railway line towards Lütjenburg, and the Five-Lakes Tour between Malente and Plön.<br><br>Shopping, excursions...: There is a wide selection of well-stocked stores in the immediate vicinity of Malente, Plön, and Eutin, where you can shop at your leisure without any stress.
