Good experience! Clean apartment, with everything you need, and not far from downtown (35 minute-ride by bus and train). The owner is very friendly, and it was really easy to communicate with her.
The place was exactly as described! Cozy little spot in a quiet neighbourhood. 5 min walk to a bus stop. I just walked everywhere for the most part but also took the bus and train. Amelia was a great host! Communicated quickly and effectively, she even checked in to make sure everything was still going good part way through my trip. Thanks for the great accommodation.
Overall, this stay was great. The space was clean and perfect for what I needed it for. I was in town for Lollapalooza and it was super close to bus stops to head to Grant Park. There was a kitchen with everything you need to cook, even a small oven! There were also some snacks that helped us stay satiated since we came home late at night. The bathroom was perfect with just the right amount of space.Walking into the stay was also pretty safe and private due to it being in between residences. I preferred it that way.
Nice, cozy little space. Host was most responsive. Kitchenette area was small but good enough. She had left some food (noodles & oatmeal packets a nice variety of granola bars for us to partake, which was a nice touch. The only reason for an overall rating of four stars out of five was that we were three adults, and while the couch did make for a bed, that was not comfortable enough by any means. In fairness, the host did bring out an inflatable air bed, but sadly that too had a slow leak, and we just decided to make do with the couch.
Small but cozy apartment in a nice, walkable neighborhood. Even though there is an upstairs neighbor, the aparetment was really quiet and felt secluded, even in the middle of the city. The owner was very quick to communicate and respond to questions. Apartment was very clean and smelled nice at check-in, and the check-in and out process was really easy. There wasn't an excessive list of cleaning requirements before we left, but we still tried to leave it in great condition. There were a few nice touches like some snacks and bottled water, a first aid kit and ice pack in the bathroom, etc. For the price and location, you can't beat this VRBO. It is a little small, but charming and a quick walk to great bars and restaurants! My only caution would be that parking can be a little difficult because the actual street is permit only, but there is open parking within a 2-5 minute walk. That said, you can pretty easily park right out front for loading and unloading, then move afterwards.
