The apartment was in a cute, safe and quiet area with lots of walkable food options. Parking was very easy and passes are provided. Our host was easy to communicate with and quickly made accomodations when asked. We would definitely stay in this unit again when visiting Chicago.

My daughter and I stayed at this location last month and we really enjoyed our stay!!! The lower level apartment was super clean, very comfortable, and in a great location, so close to bus stops and the train was just a quick walk away! The neighborhood was also very safe and quiet. Our host had fantastic communication and made sure everything was just right for our stay, giving us helpful tips about the area. He also provided parking permits for our car and we loved being able to keep it just outside the house! We really have fond memories of staying here and will definitely look for it the next time we’re visiting the area!!! Thank you for everything, Jed!

I'll confirm that the ceilings are low. That said, clearly states that in the description. Even with, nicely set up level with furniture, dining table and refrigerator/freezer. Even a microwave. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the temperature was pleasant. Lovely neighborhood with many stores and food places nearby. Host was easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend.

Great space for sisters trip

We could not be more pleased with our long weekend stay here. Before the trip, all communication was quick and seamless. Check in was easy. Two comfortable bedrooms, a cozy living room area, dining room, and full kitchen (with eat in table). Also, a walk in pantry! The bathroom was clean and stocked (couldn't figure out how to stop the tub for a bath but that didn't detract overall). The neighborhood was a great choice. Easy walking distance to grocery store (Jewel Osco),a a FANTASTIC diner (Sunshine Restaurant, with a friendly old couple running it... They will know your preferences after one visit and treat you like beloved family by the end of your stay).. Heck, you can even walk a few blocks to a Goodwill if you want to pick up Cubs gear before hopping on the bus (a block from the apartment) to get to Wrigley. We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect for a long weekend in Chicago. Space was more than big enough for our group of 4. Everything was very clean. We didn't make anything except coffee in the kitchen, but it looked like it would have worked well if we didn't have other plans.

Big Experience in a quint little place

It was great, everything was nice and clean. Had every amenities that you could need. Even extra fans! This would be a great place for a small girls weekend.

Family event

This was the second time we stayed in the garden apt. Jeds place is right around the block from our Chicago Family. Apt is we well located for shops/restaurants. We noticed the updates. Looking good. Everything you need is there. Comfortable/homey/clean.

Cozy space and a cute neighborhood

This property had everything we needed to explore Chicago for a few days. The neighborhood is very cute and walkable, and everything in the apartment worked as it should. One thing You need to know is that this is a basement apartment with low ceilings.

Perfect Spot

This place is in the perfect spot. Groceries and a delicious diner a block away, a nearby train station, and a bus stop around the corner; just perfect. The place was clean and cozy, the host was very friendly and communicative, we loved our stay. Will definitely return!

Great Stay!

I enjoyed a weekend stay here for the Chicago Marathon and it was great! The location was on a nice, quiet street, while still being close to stores for anything you need and public transportation (trains & busses). The apartment was clean and had all the necessities and the host was very kind and communicative. Would highly recommend!

Here for a show

Nice garden apartment. People have commented that ceilings are too low, but my husband is 6'2" and did fine. Clean, beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Would recommend.

This basement apartment which is in the Irving Park neighborhood also borders popular neighborhoods such as Avondale, Lakeview, Roscoe Village, North Center, Old Irving Park and Logan Square. Just a few blocks away from the Revolution Beer Company, Abby Pub, Kumas Corner and Olive Garden. Best yet, a Portillo's restaurant with a Chicago Gangster theme is currently planned to be built one block away!

Public bus and train minutes away. The unit is close to all public transportation. This includes the CTA 152 Addison bus, the Addison Blue Line train station, Metra Train, and Uber or Lyft. The Blue Line brings you to downtown Chicago & O'hare airport. Only a seven minute walk to the Chicago "L" Train, which is the train going into downtown; including the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, and Oak Street. The bus is at the end of the block that takes about 10 minutes to Wrigley Field (I'm right off of Addison St). Major expressway very close as well (I-90/I-94). You can get to any part of the city or the Chicago-land area very quickly from this location.

The unit with many imperfections is our personal space that we gladly share with you. Comfy and cozy with exposed pipes this old style is the ambiance of the unit. Its a place to rest after exploring our beautiful neighborhood and city of Chicago. The residence has other apartments and other tenants that live there. There are pets on the premises (not in your apartment) that are very well trained however you may hear them from time-to-time. The ceilings are low but not uncommonly low for a garden apartment. In Chicago a basement apartment is considered a garden apartment. The unit is not close to downtown Chicago, the lake, or the Magnificent Mile but very much in the City of Chicago. The subway and bus that will take you to these attractions are very close. Please look where this location sits on a map of the city.
