The unit was clean but it needs some serious updating - not only in the sense that it was very outdated, but much of the furniture was in disrepair. The photos included with the listing do not accurately depict the unit. The location was great and convenient to the beach and our party felt safe, but the unit needs a lot of attention. The unit is being cooled by a portable unit vented through the sliding glass doors (which makes them unusable) that worked ok in October but not sure how cool it could get the unit in hotter months.

wouldn’t rexommend

rented this for my friends honeymoon. they control the ac so it’s never under 75. left 3 towels for a family of 6, it was dirty. all other bad reviews would be correct and they don’tdid the issues

Do not stay at this property!!!! I had been in touch with the owner and never once did he tell me the AC was broken. There was a portable AC in the living area that was supposed to cool the entire three bedroom unit. The temperature never got below 77. The owner told me that’s a healthy living temperature!! Well not in Destin during the middle of July. We had to end up moving to another unit

No air conditioning

The AC was not working but in all fairness the property manager/owner put in a type of window unit and 2 fans. That was not enough so I contacted him and he brought 4 more fans about 9;00 that night. That at least helped us to sleep! You could tell the unit is very old.

Disappointing and Dirty

A disappointment and dirty is an understatement in describing this unit. The air conditioner did not work during the entire stay. The owner continued to say we were turning it down but it would never get under 75 degrees. The place was filthy, the furniture is from the 70s, electrical issues in the bathroom with lights buzzing, I am reporting this unit to the county for safety concerns.Indo motnrecommend this place.

The air didn't work they have a portable air conditioner in the living room and the bathroom. It's hot in the rooms they have stand up fans in each room that was only blowing hot air around i couldn't sleep. The cover and sheet in one of the rooms had stains on them. I had to go purchase more cover.There is a hole in the wall in one of the room i put a box in front of it in case it had a camera in there. We was locked out of the condo for a hour and a half because the lock didn't work the owner kept sending codes that didn't work the security had to come and had a hard time opening the door. We had to leave the door unlocked every time we left so we could get back in. The furniture had holes and they tried to patch them up. The lamp in the back room blinks off and on and im not sure if it's an electrical issue or not.

Owner canceled late minute

I was called about 18 hours before check in and told they had to cancel because of maintenance equipment and I couldn’t get in however upon arriving in Destin we went by the condo and it was perfectly fine

Pick a different place.

Air conditioning did not work, they did have a portable unit in the living room. Carpets very unclean and stained. Could be a very nice unit. But in need of updates.

Made the best of it!

The location of the condo was ideal, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and convenient. Unfortunately, the experience in between was quite frustrating. When we arrived, the unit was in unacceptable condition—filthy throughout, with dirty toilets (one with a seat that wasn’t even attached, which we had to tape down), stained and worn carpet, and bed sheets that were visibly stained. Some of the headboards weren’t attached to the beds, and the A/C wasn’t functioning properly—it took two days before a technician was able to address it.The condo clearly needs a deep cleaning, repainting, and general updates. We ended up cleaning the place ourselves and purchasing new sheets and towels because the provided linens either had an odor or were stained. When we initially brought these concerns to the owner’s attention, we were told we were lying, which was incredibly frustrating. Only after involving VRBO did the owner become more responsive and accommodating for the rest of our stay.We made the best of it, but future guests should be aware of the current condition of the property. With proper maintenance and a commitment to cleanliness, this could be a much more enjoyable rental.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!

I have been in numerous rentals and This was the most disappointing place I ever experienced. To start off, the carpets were not vacuumed and the toilet seat had urine and rings in the toilet bowl. We continued to communicate to Leonard that the air conditioner was not working but he made excuses the entire time. The air did not get below 76 degrees in the condo and it was the same temperature as the outdoors. He finally had someone show up on day 7 to fix the air conditioner but the temperature was reduced to 75. The furniture is disgusting, the closet doors are broken and the overall condition of the unit is unsatisfactory. The front door key pad wouldn't work and he blamed us since it worked when we entered the unit. We had an 8 day stay at this unit over memorial week. We did not receive what was advertised whatsoever. I am requesting a 50% refund due to the egregious conditions.Btw, we rented two additional units that were superb.

Door lock Problem

We had problems with the keyless door each time we tried it the door lock would lock shut and had to wait to make a long story short I called the maintenance person at 7:00 and it was 10:00 When he got there at night my family went to get in the car while I waited on someone to unlock the room and when we got inside it would not stay locked we didn’t enjoy our time being there because we were worried about getting inside

We just spent 8 days at a beach front condo. Grounds are well-maintained Gated access adds sense of security. Thank you to Leonard, our contact—he was polite, responsive & one of the best rental contacts we’ve dealt with. However, the unit needs some serious updates. Furnishings are worn, with noticeable holes Beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Biggest issue was the A/C. Central A/C was barely functional, no matter what we set the thermostat, the unit never cooled. Air coming from vents wasn’t cold. There is a portable floor unit in living room for AC. Another portable unit was behind washer in bathroom, but it didn’t help. Two old fans in each bedroom were ineffective, we ended up supplying our own. For the price, that was disappointing. Unit also doesn’t include beach service (chairs & umbrella), unlike most others. You can rent service (at a premium) or bring your own chairs but personal umbrellas aren’t allowed. Not a dealbreaker but worth noting. On the positive, the condo is spacious, 3 bdrm, 2 bath, large dining table, full kitchen including a few small appliances (coffee maker-not a Keurig, toaster, blender, etc). You need to bring paper towels, dish soap, TP, basic spices, etc. We didn’t complain @ A/C because moving 7 people would’ve been a challenge, especially with my husband’s health concerns. That said wouldn’t stay again unless the A/C is properly repaired or replaced. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation but this unit needs improvements.

Many issues!

There were several big things that went wrong. First, the unit wasn't ready on time. He did finally let us in at 5:30, but the towels were still in the dryer from cleaning (we hope- read the rest!), so it wasn't completely ready. The air conditioner didn't cool. We recognized this within a couple of hours and he assured us the company had been contacted. 24 hours later, when we questioned him again he admitted it would be July before they came to look. Inside stayed between 75 and 80 degrees the whole time we were there. It was uncomfortable. There was major construction being done to the building while we were there. There were workers in scaffolding right outside the windows several times and the noise was very loud during the day. If you're wanting to rest during the day- you won't be able to here. We were not informed about the construction. The washing machine was broken and again we weren't informed. He tried to have a new washing machine delivered while we were there. We had to insist several times that we were NOT willing to let in a delivery person while we weren't present before he would cancel the already scheduled, without our knowledge, delivery for our second night. This unit is VERY over priced for the number of issues that it had. The owner's responses were, at best dismissive, when we brought these issues to his attention.

Right on the Beach!

My friends and I had a great stay at this property. There is a lot of construction on the building itself - but it did not bother us at all. We knew there was construction beforehand - so we were prepared for that. The condo is spacious, the contents very dated, but we also knew that going in. It was a great condo for the price and location. Nothing fancy - but we did not care. It was clean and that's all we cared about. There were eight of us -and we all had a bed to sleep in. If you want a fancy condo - this may not be for you - but we loved the location and the value! There are a few restaurants & shops within walking distance too!

Good family condo

Checking in was a shock. The gate guard asked if we were aware of the heavy construction going on. No one told us and that was a huge shock. I recommend being upfront on the listings about the construction. The day we arrived was quite loud and really put a damper on things. However, Saturday and Sunday were quiet and the beach was easy to get to and from and everyone was nice. The condo furnishings and rugs are dated and well used but then again, traveling with children, didn’t need to worry about damage. The condo is close to everything you could want. Plenty of dishes ect. Bring your own trash bags! We didn’t know and had to go buy some. You get 1. Leonard was very nice and took care of any issues that came up. Other than the construction we had a great trip.
