Large Screened-In Porch, River Views, and Easy Walk to Water's Edge!!
Sleeps 10-14! Grab the whole family (or 2 families) and come relax on nearly 3 acres at River Dusk – overlooking the shores of the beautiful Chattahoochee River! Wake up and enjoy your breakfast on our large screened in porch with seating for the whole family. Listen to the calming sounds of the whitewater rapids and wave to the kayakers/tubers/rafters passing downstream.
This cozy cottage has all the comforts of home including WiFi! The master with its king-sized bed, has a large Smart TV and its own 1/2 bathroom. Both of the other bedrooms contain bunk beds - 3 of which are full sized - as well as a full-sized trundle bed. The basement offers a private oasis with another king bed, large television and a full bath. Additionally, this studio style space houses a jackknife sofa bed with yet another large Roku TV for guests to enjoy.

Family dinners can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen, and there is plenty of room to store your food or other necessities. Feed the whole gang at the farmhouse style kitchen table and bar area that can seat 8-10 people.

Adventure seekers will be thrilled that this property’s river access is located on Section 3 of the “Hooch” (the Whitewater Section featuring 3 Class II rapids and home to Buck Shoals State Park). This Upper Chattahoochee section is considered the most sought-after area. Guests can launch their kayak/canoe, drop in a tube/raft, fish for Bass, or just dig their feet into the sand on our “mini beach” and watch all the action. The night time will invite you to roast marshmallows in the large firepit as you sing your favorite childhood campfire songs.

We are 10 minutes away, but available on the phone via call/text/email anytime!

Enjoy family time in the cozy living room with yet another Smart TV (with access to internet), a Play Station 3, and a beautiful fireplace flanked by 2 large book cases full of books for all ages.

Additional activities for all ages can be found within 5-20 minutes including all that the city of Helen has to offer, white water rafting, Anna Ruby Falls, the new Georgia Mountain Coaster, biking, hiking, shopping, dining, golfing, museums, multiple vineyards/wineries with tours and wine tasting to name a few. There is definitely something for everyone!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin had everything we needed and we loved the decor. Our favorite was sitting in the screened porch listening to the river. It was very relaxing!

Great location, clean

Our group of 13 had lots of space. The sounds of the river, lots of birds, wonderful breeze on the porch that faces the river were enjoyed by all. Most of our group could enjoy the river in the tubes supplied by Ryan (our host) who answered all questions quickly. Older folks like myself had a few challenges, but I had support by my beautiful Family. Thanks so much Ryan, what a wonderful property

GREAT!

We loved staying at River Dusk! It was the perfect river getaway. One member of our group has mobility challenges, and the house was easily accessible for him. The screend porch was a plus! There is a swing set on the top of the hill in the front yard that the kids really enjoyed. There was also a very good gate for the stairway that kept our younger ones safe. Overall it was a great place to stay. No negatives. Only positives and plenty of them!!

Amazing porch and view of River

Amazing view of river from house the back porch was huge had seating area for lounging and eating while listening to the river. Easy access to river with a fire pit by the river along with a horse shoe setup if you like to play. Kitchen had what you needed to cook with and our bed was comfortable gray spot for vacation.

Perfect location

We were celebrating my sons 2nd bday with family. We loved being on the water and having a fire pit for roasting s’mores. The screened in porch was perfect for eating every meal. The location was ideal for a short day trip to Helen and then driving around to all the interesting places nearby.

Great property for families!

This place is great! The cabin is super clean and the yard is huge. Our children never wanted to leave because they just wanted to stay in the river. The property is in the perfect spot. Not to far away from town but far enough that when you’re sitting on the back porch, all you hear is the running water of the river. Ryan was awesome to work with!

Best Anniversary Yet!

Overlooking the Chattahoochee River, this cabin was absolutely perfection! Not only was it well furnished and stocked with just about anything we needed (coffee pot/Keurig, pots/pans, linens, some spices, etc.), the view was breathtaking. We loved celebrating our 24th anniversary here. We fished, sat by the fire pit, and simply enjoyed the sounds of the rushing river. The cabin is over a mile off the main road, so it's very peaceful. It's just a short drive (<15 miles) to Helen and Anna Ruby Falls, so it's in a great location to wonder out on day trips. Ryan was very helpful - answering all of our questions before & during our stay. We'd love to bring the whole family next time - there's plenty of room!!

Another wonderful stay at River Dusk!

We visited for our second time, and it was wonderful. The cabin is comfortable, it feels like a home away from home. There are many things to do like fishing, campfires, swings, exploring, and playing games. The town of Helen is just a short picturesque 20 minute drive from the cabin. We saw deer running in the front yard, and lots of other wildlife. A great family vacation to just relax and enjoy being together.
