An older home, but so close to the beach in a small community of other rentals. Was everything our group was looking for! Would stay again

Very old house with new kitchen and bathroom on main floor. Some of the finishes not done and there were visibly gaps in the wall leading to the outside which did allow some bugs in. Surprisingly the bugs weren’t as bad as I thought were going to be but there were definitely a lot. Biggest issue is no AC. The listing didn’t mention they had it so I can’t be mad about it just very surprised in a beach town to not have even window units for use. Everything else was good, clean sheets, toiletries stocked.

Hello Nick. Thank you so much for your feedback of the Rest A While cottage. We sincerely apologize as this is not our normal standard for our cottages. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and have made the owner aware that her construction projects need to be finished. We have also added these issues to our maintenance managers list as well. I am sorry your accommodations were less than what we all would have expected. We hope you will try us again if you are ever in the area.

The cottage was in a perfect location, it was clean, it was decorated very charmingly and with care, and it was family friendly. We all loved being there. Plenty of spaces to play games and visit. We loved the wildlife and the views. The neighbors were lovely. Spending summers in Grand Haven as a child was magical. Being able to return for a second summer stay as an adult, still magical. We traveled from CA with three of our grands, a daughter and son in law. We were able to see family and value the goodness of Pure Michigan and its kind kind people. Entering the cottage was a bit stressful. We called the host, Jacqua Realtors, and they gave us a new code right away. We soon realized that there had been remodeling and freshening up since the VRBO photos. ALL lovely improvements. The property was advertised as having a washer and drying and it did not. There seemed to be a space for it. Also, some missing lighting in the kitchen and finishings to be done. The goodness outshines and we would return again. We are already talking about returning to GH next summer.
