The Draper is a love story. A love for architecture, a love for functional design and a love for all things mid century modern. It’s a time capsule containing all the hope and wonder of the design revolution of the mid century movement, providing a rare respite from the demands of modern living but with the comforts we now expect. This 1957 California Dream Home exudes romance, nostalgia and playfulness. The inside/outside design honors California, 5 minutes from the DSM airport & downtown DSM.
Make yourself at home in this superb 3-bedroom Des Moines retreat. With 1 king bed and 2 queen beds, this house offers a tremendous amount of space for guests to relax and unwind. Enjoy the pleasant amenities like a washing machine, WiFi, AC, and more. The 3 bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer, bathtub, and shower for added convenience. family getaway
Great house --- it brings back memories of years ago. They even have the dishes in the kitchen to go with the era. There was plenty of room to spread out and a nice patio out back.

An MCM Paradise!
We had a lovely stay at The Draper, the moment you walk in you are immersed in MidCentury beauty. The furniture is kept, the whole atmosphere of the house is spot on. Everything is clean and prepared for a family to stay. If I could give 8 stars, I would. We will definitely be back!

Stunning Mid-Century Modern Home
Meghan’s home is absolutely incredible! From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time in the best way possible. Every detail is so purposeful, capturing the essence of mid-century modern design like no other. It’s truly a work of art!Not only is the home visually stunning, but it’s also incredibly comfortable and well-equipped. Meghan was a fantastic host—thoughtful, accommodating, and always ensuring we had everything we needed. My guests couldn’t stop raving about how amazing the home was throughout our entire stay!The location is also perfect—just a short drive to the airport, close to anything you might need, and only 10 minutes from downtown. If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable stay, I highly recommend this place. You won’t regret it!
