Charming Anahola Cabin ~ Short Walk to Beach

Bedrooms 1
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 1-2)

Mahinani's Farm offers a unique experience for visitors to stay in a peaceful location tucked directly between the mountains and the ocean.

Our Cabin is surrounded by soft rolling hills, giant royal palms, pines, coconut trees, flowers & tropical fruits in their seasons. Perfect for out-doorsy type guests wanting to spend quality time on beautiful grounds away from paved parking lots, elevators & the public.

Our farm sits up on a bluff, close enough to the ocean to hear it and walk to it. Yet, in case of a tsunami warning there is no need to evacuate as we are not in the evacuation zone. The walk to the beach is very enjoyable. Its down a shady little road that takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on the pace.

Located in the East for the perfect base to explore both sides of the island from.

The cabin has Wi-Fi reception.

As members of Hawaii Agri-Tourism we are pleased to extend a warm invitation to come stay with us and enjoy the beauty of our farm in Anahola, Kauai.

Amazing experience!

  • 5 of 5

A perfect spot for people that don't enjoy the resort experience. Small working farm. Secluded, peaceful, amazing spot. Don't forget to walk 5 minutes for a life changing massage at Angeline's Lomi Lomi retreat. Will be back soon and wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Peaceful setting

  • 5 of 5

I had a wonderful time, staying at the beautiful farm cabin. Since I just left last Thursday evening, the calming atmosphere is still so fresh. I am thankful to Diana, a lovely soul and gracious, caring host. Coconut the loving chocolate lab, was a dear, and made you feel special. It was close to Kapa'a and the store just down the highway is good to have near. Walking down to the beach was not taxing, and since I was in a "locals" area, it was a pleasant feeling to be greeted by all. Anini Beach was my daily swim. I would love to return next year, and stay a few more than my eight days, and go in September when the winds are lighter and not much rain. The memories of the outdoor shower brings a smile.

Private and relaxing honeymoon

  • 4 of 5

We had a great week-long stay in the cabin and would definitely return here for another stay in the future. The space was clean and we especially loved the outdoor shower. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make our own meals and we enjoyed playing with the brown lab Cocoa-nut - he is a nut! The location was the perfect jumping off point for exploring the sites to the North and all the great food in Kapaa. We also loved the Anahola sand soaps made on the farm and bought several to give to family members as gifts. Our favorite beach was just north of the cabin and we loved the nearby Kilauea Bakery. Make sure to visit Nani Moon Meadery for some yummy honey wine.

Only a few very minor critiques: There is no air conditioning in the cabin, which we knew going in and was definitely not a deal breaker for us. There are a few fans to circulate the air, but on the few especially hot days we had the cabin remained hot all evening, making it difficult for us to sleep. To help with this we made sure to keep the front curtains drawn to block the afternoon sun. It would also be wonderful if the front porch was completely screened in allow for mosquito-free outdoor hangout space.

For those of you who don't care for the resort scene, this place is for you.

Centrally located, beautiful and quiet, it's the perfect launch pad to explore Kauai, and a spot we looked forward to returning to each day.
