Mahinani's Farm offers a unique experience for visitors to stay in a peaceful location tucked directly between the mountains and the ocean.
Our Cabin is surrounded by soft rolling hills, giant royal palms, pines, coconut trees, flowers & tropical fruits in their seasons. Perfect for out-doorsy type guests wanting to spend quality time on beautiful grounds away from paved parking lots, elevators & the public.
Our farm sits up on a bluff, close enough to the ocean to hear it and walk to it. Yet, in case of a tsunami warning there is no need to evacuate as we are not in the evacuation zone. The walk to the beach is very enjoyable. Its down a shady little road that takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on the pace.
Located in the East for the perfect base to explore both sides of the island from.
The cabin has Wi-Fi reception.
As members of Hawaii Agri-Tourism we are pleased to extend a warm invitation to come stay with us and enjoy the beauty of our farm in Anahola, Kauai.
Feeling the spirit of the place, with its peace and special aura ~ the rustic setting is set apart from everything else to a place that allows for spiritual reflection, relaxation and connection with natural beauty. Our host was delightful and discreet and our stay was wonderful.
We knew we were in good hands after having read so many rave reviews of this property. But it lived up to every glorious promise. We were charmed by the porch and hammock and outdoor shower and perfectly appointed kitchen and sleeping space and enormous bathroom and the handmade soap and Cocoa-nut the lab and yes, even the chickens. We enjoyed our runs to the beach, and our visit to Mama Angeline's spa next door, the use of all the beach gear, and breakfast and coffee on the porch. Thank you Diana and family for making this belated honeymoon so very magical. We so deeply want to return to the calm and peace of the mountain views from the porch and the sound of chickens among the palm trees. Mahalo.
We just loved this little cabin.... It's secluded in a beautiful jungle like setting... Yet a five minute drive to the little market and fifteen minutes to Kapaa. The porch is absolutely charming... Loved the outdoor shower and the kitchen was equipped with all that we needed. It's a simple place and feels very private... If you are looking for an escape from a busy life... This is perfect. It's not a resort or like a luxurious place like the Hyatt... But this is just what we were looking for. The sweet sounds of jungle nature was so relaxing... and the hammock was awesome!
We had a wonderful stay at Diana's cabin in Anahola. We would highly recommend it if you're a couple after a scenic but peaceful place to stay in Kauai. The location was perfect for us - feeling part of a community rather than the tourist crowd, but still close enough to great swimming, snorkelling and restaurants. Loved sitting on the small deck at sunset looking at the mountains and lying in the hammock under the coconut palms and of course the outdoor shower. While the cabin is small it had everything we needed including extras such as snorkels and masks and Diana's lovely soaps.
If you're vacationing in Kauai, you're already off to a great start, so how would you begin to improve on that? You find yourself an accommodation that has loads of charm, local feeling, tropical landscaping and the sense that you are truly away from anything that would reveal you as a tourist. Diana's place, this intimate cabin, has all that and more. There really is a hammock, the outdoor shower is a kick, and there's loads of stars and splashes of Milky Way at night (we could believe how dark it is there, coming from LA). The kitchen is outfitted with exactly what you need, beach chairs and towels, cooler for packing your cold bevs, and space to wash and hang clothes. And we so enjoyed taking our breakfasts on the lanai each morning. And being in Anahola, you are positioned just about middle for travel to north coast and south and west portions of the island. I have been to Maui and the Big Island, and Kauai is now my favorite. Just go.
The cabin was absolutely perfect. It is in a very quiet area yet close to the main road to access this wonderful island.
The outdoor shower was fantastic and the little kitchen had everything that we needed. We loved sitting on the patio in the oh so comfy chairs to eat and watch the geckos.
There is a cool box with ice pack, boogie boards, snorkels, beach towels and beach chairs which all came in very handy.
I have no hesitation in recommending this property, it is fabulous.
Enjoy complete privacy. Our cabin is more island style artsy then corporate. For those who love nature and want to experience our simple island life style. A very pleasant place to be rain or shine.
Reasonably near to many fine restaurants, quaint shopping villages and unrivaled outdoor activities.
Steps away from our farm is world renown Auntie Angeline's Mu'olaulani Spa. An Aboriginal Hawaiian practitioner of Traditional Hawaiian Wellness Treatments that include purifying steam, rejuvenating full-body scrubs using therapeutic Hawaiian Alae, Sea Salt, and Coconut Oil to exfoliate, cleanse and detoxify the body.
