The cutest little hideaway! We really enjoyed our stay here - the property is close to Appomattox Court House and just a short drive to some cute local bars/restaurants/antique shops in Farmville. The house is very quiet and secluded - we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evening under the stars.
Location was stellar. The house was amazing! My husband and I struggled to get great sleep on the very thick memory foam bed toppers, but if that is your thing this place will be perfect!!
The host was very communicative and easy to deal with. The house was perfect! It was decorated in such a nice way. You can tell the hosts have put thought into finding little ways to make your stay extra comfortable. They have cozy blankets, a hammock, and front porch swings. Would definitely stay again!
Lovely family getaway, a perfect place to unwind and enjoy a beautiful fall weekend indoors or relaxing in the hammock by the fire pit. Large windows and open floor plan - great for enjoying the beauty of the forest outside.
This cabin was perfect for us. It delivered every expectation I had when booking. We needed peace and quiet and wow, couldnt ask for more. I would absolutely suggest staying here for a reset. It isnt far from town and if you need a big town Lynchburg is just down the road. Thanks to the owners for accurately listing their cabin and delivering on that listing!
We had a wonderful relaxing 2 days stay.Highlights were the Hot tub and the Fire Pit.We stayed outside most of the time.Everything was as described and worked perfectly. Woods and Privacy Peaceful and Rest.Thank you, We will be back.
This cabin stay was the perfect secluded getaway for us! The location is very peaceful surrounded by state forest and we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit in the evening while stargazing and listening to the sounds of nature. The home was extremely clean and the kitchen well stocked with all the cookware and utensils we needed to prepare a meal. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!
The cabin was decorated and lovely, but it was teeming with invasive Asian lady beetles, which my wife had to vacuum up relentlessly. There was also a roach and the bed was pretty hard. But, it was still clean and we made use of the lovely amenities.
Great location! Cute home! Clean and well stocked! The mattresses were memory foam but very firm. Outside there is a small metal grill. Lots of comfortable furniture and the hot tub!
Wonderful secluded cabin! Great location near state park and national park. Very convenient to Appomattox and Farmville, about 20 minutes either direction for groceries and restaurants. Nice clean hot tub. Great for relaxing and staring up at the night sky, which is full of stars!Kitchen is well appointed, with a toaster, microwave, coffee maker, plenty of pots/pans utensils. There is a dishwasher and full size fridge/freezer. The full bathroom has a walk in shower. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were available as well as ample towels.1/2 bath in the 2nd bedroom is a nice feature. Beds were comfy! For those who have not spent time in the rural country, you should know the house is surrounded by forest. You will hear animals. You will see bugs like spiders, and ticks (ticks especially under the pine trees). This is just how things are in central Virginia, in the summer in the woods. You will also enjoy lightning bugs (fire flies), and many species of birds. The driveway is gravel and somewhat narrow. We easily parked 2 vehicles and roundabout near the house makes it easy to maneuver. If you have a massive vehicle, or you are towing something large it might be a bit tricky. Overall we loved it and would stay again.
This unusually private cabin in the woods was exceptionally good with one caveat. Very comfortable and well stocked and very reasonably priced. Only shortcoming is the second bedroom and bathroom are sized for kids more than adults - wasn’t expecting that but managed ok. Bathroom needs some racks or hooks somewhere. Kitchen all good. A number of amenities which we didn’t use. Perfect for two adults with kids.
