LIVING AREAS:

Villa Santorini just oozes effortless Greek glamour. Cool, white walls contrast with splashes of dark exotic woods. Soft curves frame the nearby turquoise ocean & high ceilings flood each room with sea breezes & natural light.

For those Belmont old-timers, newly renovated Villa Santorini was once known as Equinox House. Sprawling over 3 buildings with a central pool terrace, a seamless indoor/outdoor flow guarantees incredible ocean views from almost every corner. Perfectly balanced, there are plenty of private spots for stealing moments of peace and spacious living areas for gathering the group together.

The main living areas are located in the main house (the 2nd, middle building), flowing through from the pool terrace. As you enter the huge glass sliding doors, you'll find an extremely spacious open-plan living room, kitchen & indoor dining area. A choice of AC or ceiling fans keep things cool, as do ocean breezes if you choose to keep the glass doors open. This room is of course as chic as ever with calm neutrals, soft lines & that Santorini-style elegance that makes you feel as if you're right next to the Aegean Sea.

A gorgeous teak dining table with plenty of room for 8 gives you the option of indoor dining. In the living area, you'll find plenty of comfy seating with gorgeous ocean views & (if you can bear to look away from your tropical surroundings) a 65'' flat-screen SmartTV for moments of downtime.

The kitchen makes cooking a pleasure for you, or a chef. It has everything you'd possibly need for any culinary occasion - from preparing a special dinner to enjoy under the stars on the pool terrace or just a quick bite to eat from the high stools at the breakfast bar. You'll find high quality stainless steel appliances in every corner such as a large double fridge/freezer, 6 burner stove with extraction fan, dishwasher, sandwich maker, rice cooker, ninja blender...the list goes on.

BEDROOMS:

1) The 1st bedroom suite can be found in the first building, the other side of the pool terrace to the main house. A private sanctuary, you'll find a king-sized bed, built-in closet, 55'' flat-screen SmartTV, choice of AC or ceiling fan & stunning ocean views through the hurricane-shuttered arched windows. A truly gorgeous ensuite bathroom with a huge stone-lined walk-in shower awaits you to wash away the day. If all that isn't enough, you'll also be treated to a cute private porch overlooking Belmont Pond & Long Bay Beach.

2&3) Bedrooms 2 & 3 can be found upstairs from the living room in the main house. Both have king sized beds, spacious built-in closets, 55'' flat-screen SmartTVs & both AC & ceiling fans. They also both have their own ensuite bathrooms, with spacious walk-in showers & the cutest tropical addition of outdoor showers behind little arched doorways. One overlooks the pool & the other the ocean.

4) The Primary Suite is just spectacular. Another private paradise, it's located in the 3rd bedroom a short stroll away from the main house. A very generous size, you'll find the same luxurious amenities as the other bedrooms (King sized bed, AC , ceiling fans, large walk in closet, 65'' flat-screen SmartTV) and a huge private porch with stunning ocean views - an idyllic spot for a morning coffee made with the drip-style coffee maker in your room. The ensuite bathroom is another work of art, with grand stone walk-in shower, bathtub, double vanity all of which is lit up by the soft light coming through a huge arched window framing the azure vistas.

STEP OUTSIDE:

The outside spaces at Santorini are just as unique & thoughtful as the indoors with that signature Mediterranean style. A truly special spot is accessed by a flight of stairs behind the primary suite, where you'll be met with a rooftop terrace complete with fire pit and breathtaking views over the ocean to Jost Van Dyke. You may even be able to spot some flamingos on Belmont Pond!

The pool terrace is of course where you're likely to be spending much of your time. Only Villa Santorini can combine comfort, function & style so effortlessly & the pool terrace is no exception. Catch some rays on the sun loungers or take a dip in the crystal swimming pool (can be heated on request - check 'Notes' section for charges). There's also an outdoor dining table for dinners under the stars or casual lunches by the pool. Just down the steps from the pool deck is a handy shower & toilet & a little deck with a 4 burner gas BBQ. You'll also find an ice maker & beach chairs & other essentials stored in a room below the master (accessed via a path from the pool deck). Surrounded by tropical palms, bursting blooms & ocean vistas, the pool terrace at Santorini is your very own slice of paradise.

POOL: A pool heater is available for an additional charge of $50/nt, guests often like this option during the winter months, Dec – March).

GENERATOR: the automatic-start generator is a great plus for any pesky power outages

ACTIVITIES: Long Bay is just down the hill & you can enquire with Long Bay Resort to purchase passes to the gym, tennis & pickle-ball courts or to purchase spa treatments. You can also purchase a pool pass for the day ($100 pp incl $75 food & beverage credit & access to the pool. Under 12's are free)

LOCATION:

Villa Santorini is located in the exclusive but welcoming rural estate of Belmont. It's lower elevation means you can drive to two beautiful beaches (Smuggler’s Cove and Long Bay) in just 5/10 mins or take a pretty walk down (a slightly longer/steeper one back up!) Belmont Salt Pond below is a natural reserve and important ecosystem that regularly attracts flamingos - there are 8 there this week as I write this.

LONG BAY (300 yds away)
A very short stroll down the hill will take you to Long Bay. Here you’ll find a mile-long stretch of white sand and turquoise waters and a selection of beachfront refreshment options - 1748 Restaurant, Tropical Fusion, Johnny’s Beach Bar and 1748 Coffee Shop. If you’re feeling energetic there’s Long Bay Beach Resort’s Tennis and Pickleball courts. A day pass will buy you hours of fun! Gym passes also available as well as a spa for a little pampering. You can also purchase a pool pass for the day ($100 pp incl $75 food & beverage credit & access to the pool. Under 12's are free)

SMUGGLER’S COVE (0.8 miles away)
Smuggler’s Cove is idyllic and perfectly sheltered by its vibrant reef which provides sensational snorkeling and is home to Patricia’s laid-back beach bar. *cruise ship passengers sometimes come here so look online for the "BVI cruise ship schedule" to avoid the busier days.

APPLE BAY (1 mile away)
A little village with world-class winter surf and a handful of bars and restaurants (Nardie's Beach Bar, Sugar Mill, Tramonti) for all occasions.

CARROT BAY (1.7 miles away)
A charming village where you'll find local fisherman, fruit stalls, North Shore Shell Museum and D’Coal Pot restaurant.

WINDY HILL (2.7 miles away)
Head to Stoutts Lookout for a chilled beer with an incredible view over the bay or Banakeet (Heritage Inn) restaurant for one of the best dinner spots to watch the sunset on island.

SOPER’S HOLE MARINA (3.2 miles away)
Here you’ll find West End Ferry Terminal (where you can catch boats to fellow British Virgin Island Jost Van Dyke and US Virgin Islands St John and St Thomas) and a great selection of restaurants (Omar's Coffee House, Omar's Fusion & Pusser's Landing), a well-stocked grocery store, boat charter companies, shops and more. Enquire with Soper's Hole Marina and Lighthouse Marina for dock space if you have a boat.

CANE GARDEN BAY (3.9 miles away)
The buzziest beach on island, you'll find a whole variety of restaurants, bars & nightlife (Indigo Beach House, Elms, Paradise Bar, Myett's plus many more) lining the water. You'll also find a small grocery store, a white sand beach with calm swimming and options for watersports and Callwood's Rum Distillery. *all these amenities mean that the cruise ship passengers come here, so look online for the "BVI cruise ship schedule" to avoid the busier days.
