Our blue hen nest is located conveniently within mins from University of Delaware campus, close to main street with access to great restaurants and hang outs. Close access to I-95 highway which connects major cities in East Coast.
We have newly renovated kitchen with new drip/Keurig coffee machine that offer both hot and cold coffee, indoor smokeless grill with air fryer and French press coffee maker. New Brio water filter with both hot and cold water. A multi phone charger router available for your convenience. All bedrooms have new furniture and decor with new 14 inches Nova form comfort Grande mattresses, room darkening shades, and quality linens. additional space available with sleeper sofa and dedicated workspace. Additional sleeper sofa and 55 inch TV for a cozy movie night in the basement with boho tapestry and ceiling lights. it is a row of townhomes so noise travels easily, we have taken precautions to provide a comfortable stay.
Blue hen nest is a pleasant walk or bike ride to the UD campus (<1mile) or stadium (1.8mile). Try the many main street shops and eateries on your way to campus and U Dairy Creamery on your way to the stadium. The working dairy farm has amazing ice cream/sorbets. Groceries are just down the road, and tax-free shopping at Christiana Mall is 15 minutes away. There's a lovely park with a pool, sports and hockey fields, and playgrounds. This is the perfect location for a Newark visit.
Guest access: Home can be accessed from front as well as back door. Street parking is available in the front, but there is dedicated space for parking from back door making it easy to access. You can use entire house except for the garage.
Other things to note The kitchen is well-stocked with staples (condiments, spices, coffee and tea). The neighborhood is relatively quiet (for an urban area) circular street of row homes with a park in the middle.
