unsurpassed views

we recently stayed at amicalola vista house when my husband was finishing up his through hike on the appalachian trail. i chose it because it is close to amicalola falls state park which is the southern most tip of springer mt. the lodge there is a treat to visit - we had a delicious lunch with an incredible view. the house was clean, cozy and just what we needed. excellent gas range, nice fridge. the views from the three porches were spectacular....really quite breathtaking. the best part for us was that it was quiet and peaceful - a great place for my husband to readjust to civilization!

hint.... bring your own groceries with you to start as the house is at least 30-40 min from a large food store. we found the food lion in dawsonville to be very good.

Awesome cabin

  • 5 of 5

This place was beautiful. Sandy was very responsive to us before we got there to the cabin. It had everything you need to make it a wonderful stay. The views from the cabin was breath taking and I could've stayed on the balcony the whole time. I would definitely recommend staying there again. Thanks again for letting us come!!

Marvelous Mountain Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a family reunion here. It was mid-February and very cold, but we stayed warm and cozy inside this beautiful home. The view is incredible! We had been to Amicacola Falls before, and we had a view of the falls and the lodge from the back porches. Eight of us stayed comfortably here. The location is very private and quiet, and it was easy to find. Everything is just as advertised. We will definitely return!

We had a "destination" family Thanksgiving this year at the Amicalola Vista House and it was wonderful! We were welcomed with lights on and a fire in the fireplace. The house was spacious enough for 7 of us. The kitchen is well stocked and roomy . . and the view is undescribable! The location was perfect for an easy walk or a hike. It was a little cool at night, so I would suggest bringing an extra blanket or two. We will return!

Great vacation !

  • 5 of 5

We were pleasantly surprised ! The pictures dont do it justice, beautiful & comfortable home... Plenty of room for everyone ! Loved the 3 decks ! (Bring groceries ! Stores are not close) everything we wanted to do was within 15 minutes to 1 hour away. We rode horses in the mountains, rode the Blueridge railway, went to Amicilola stare park to hike & see the beautiful waterfall, kayaked & enjoyed the cabin... Wish we had stayed in the cabin a whole week instead of 3 days... But life is life...cant wait to come again !!

I recently spent a wonderful weekend at the Amicalola Vista House for a retreat with the ladies from my job. We were instantly amazed with the gorgeous views of the mountains and the nature. The house itself was the perfect size for 10 ladies, and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing getaway. Thanks so much for the opportunity!!

Car: not necessary

Please turn onto Eagle Ridge Road. Not Eagle's Nest. You will go about a mile past Eagle's Nest and then Eagle Ridge Rd will be on the left. The house is the first house on the left.
