Great ski condo

  • 5 of 5

This is a great condo for a winter ski trip. It is cozy/comfortable with plenty of room for 2 couples or a medium sized family. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the Peru high speed ski lift at Keystone and and easy 15 minute drive to Arapahoe ski area. The condo is very well equipped and even has a clothes washer and drier. This condo is on the second floor and looks out over the hot tubs and the ski slopes. The gas fireplace added a cozy touch and the amenities such as HDTV and wi-fi were fine. The underground parking was a real plus for the morning we drove to Arapahoe. There are free ski buses between Keystone, Arapahoe and Breckenridge but since we had a car we did not explore where the bus stops are located. I would definitely stay here again on our next ski vacation to Colorado.

Fantastic family weekend ski trip

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying here! We have 3 kids (ages 2-6), and had plenty of room to play and sleep for all of us plus my in-laws! Kitchen was well-stocked, convenience of having a dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer, back porch with great views, tv's in main living area and each bedroom, meticulously clean with plenty of linens to spare, and assortment of board games/puzzles. Unfortunately, our minvan with the cargo top did not fit in the heated parking, but we still managed to get close parking. Easy access to the slopes but recommend bringing/finding a Keystone wagon for skis and equipment if you have small kids who refuse to carry their stuff! Thanks for a comfortable weekend, looking forward to a future stay!

Comfortable, quiet, and well equipped!

  • 5 of 5

This condo was everything we expected and more. It was clean, quiet, spacious, and had a great view of the mountains. The rear deck was a relaxing place for a cup of hot chocolate and a view of the slopes. The location was within walking distance to food stores, restaurants, souvenirs, the ski lift, and the lake.

The owner was quite responsive to all of our questions and made booking the unit easy and convenient.

The four of us look forward to another stay next fall.

Quiet and Adventerous Summer Escape

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Keystone and staying at your Tenderfoot condo. Absolutely EVERYTHING was there we could need. Condo was spacious and clean. Really enjoyed time on the deck in the early morning cool air. Great central location for hiking, biking, and shopping. We will return!

This Codo helped make our ski trip a hit.

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed in this great condo for our Spring Break Trip. We have a 17 year old, almost 16 year old and 12 year old girls and an extra 17 year old family friend. I was concerned before arrival about the walk to the ski base. Don't fear at all. Even the whiniest of our teenagers never made a peep about the short walk. This condo entrance faces the road. You walk out the door, down the stairs and around the building to the path, over a bridge and find your self at the edge of the paid, closest parking lot to Mountain House Base. Cross the lot and you are at ski rentals. We rented our skis there. The lockers in the ski rental location do not take tokens and remain always open. We left our snow boots and sometimes lunch in these lockers and it worked out great.

The condo itself worked well for our group of six. The only slight issue was the comfort of the hide abed - but it is a hideabed so what do you expect. We thought ahead and brought a blow up mattress for that occurrence and sometimes the girls stayed on the hideabed and were too tired to move into the blow up.

The FULL size washer and dryer worked wonderfully and were very fast, faster than what we have at home. We used it daily. There is also a clothes basket for use. The table was perfect for us and we ate breakfast and most dinners in. There is no cookie tray but the other items allowed pretty much anything. (I cooked spaghetti squash one night and could have used the tray or a large baking dish but the other smaller baking dishes worked fine.) The knives were pretty decent as well. I find many rentals have dismal knives but these were plentiful and worked well.

My favorite part of the condo besides the short walk to the lift was probably the views. Waking up and opening the blinds to the gorgeous mountain every morning - sights I do not see from my Texas bedroom. We were comfortable in the condo and found our needs met. There is a small box fan that we used to dry boots out - although I am sure the owner probably has it there for another purpose. We used the hot tubs 2 nights and found them to be easy to access and well maintained. I wound definitely stay here again if we go back to Keystone. I heard it was a short walk to River Run but I never tried it and the manner in which to take this walk was unclear. I preferred the quite of the Mountain House to the River Run chaos. I highly recommend night skiing - was our first time. The owner made rental easy.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted to let you know that we had a FANTASIC time in Keystone! Your condo was perfect for our family. Coming in the off-season is geat-it felt like we had the entire lodge to ourselves. I can tell you that after perfect weather in Colorado and even a full day of snow-we are dying down here in Texas with 100 degree heat. We are missing Colorado already. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park, Glenwood Springs, Vail, Breckenridge-hiked a ton, went white water rafting-the works!! Thank you for letting us use your condo. We will definitely be back and recommend you to our friends. Thanks so much, Dena

The beauty and peacefulness of the area and the year round activities are what drew us to Keystone. In winter, you’re within walking distance of the slopes, or within minutes of several additional World Class Ski areas. These can be reached via car or the Summit County Shuttle. The areas include: Arapahoe Basin (five minutes), Breckenridge (25 minutes), Loveland (15 minutes), Copper Mountain (20 minutes), Vail and Beaver Creek (45 minutes).

Also enjoy night skiing, tubing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and ice fishing. Ice skating is also popular on Keystone Resort Lake which is just a few minutes walk on the walking path.

In the spring and summer, bike the Summit County bike path which runs past the property. Enjoy fly fishing in the Snake River you can see and hear from the balcony, just a few steps out the back door. Boat, sail, fish, picnic or ride bikes at Lake Dillon. Go horse back riding on mountain trails.

Year round, enjoy shopping in the quaint specialty boutiques in River Run or over 90 Factory Outlet Stores(10 min).
