Wonderful Experience and Amazing Property!

From the time of booking and throughout the entire stay the experience was absolutely wonderful. We met our three daughters, their spouses and our grandson at the lake and can’t say how impressed we were with the home and the amenities. We spent lots of time on the lake using the kayaks/paddle board during the day and evenings playing pool. The kitchen was incredibly well furnished with pots, pans and everything in between. The morning views from the lake were amazing from deck and a great place to drink coffee while taking in all of the lake wildlife. Our family had a really great time and will definitely return for more fun. On a side note, one of our highlights was meeting the property manager Lake Jake’s huge and extremely friendly Great Dane named Ruh Roh—beautiful pup!

Great Multi Generational Family Vacation

From the initial request to book through checking out I couldn’t be happier with this experience. We were celebrating my parents 50th anniversary with my siblings, spouses and kids ranging from 5-75. The house had plenty of space for each age group to have a loud space and quiet space. The hours on the porch and playing in the yard and in the water will bring smiles to our faces for years to come! All of the water toys, pool table, movie room and the attentiveness of the host was amazing! We would definitely stay again!

Lake Vacation 2023

We had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for everyone and many various activities for all. There were things to do rain or shine. We loved it. The grandkids spent many hours fishing, kayaking, peddleboating, canoeing, and on the water blanket. The adults participated in many of those activities and/or relaxed on the deck keeping an eye on them. We did not experience the rain but if we had there was also the pool table, foosball, movies and inside games. It was a great week. Thank you.

Relaxing

A great family retreat. Lots to do with kayaks canoe, etc. We visited wineries nearby and highly recommend Fables and Feathers. We will return.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this lakeside home. It was clean, well organized and full of amenities. I can't think of a single thing to criticize about the house, and we were made to feel very welcome there. Highly recommended!

Relaxing and comfortable stay on the lake

The lake house was amazing for a weekend get together with friends! It had everything that we needed to stay entertained. There was minimal traffic on the lake, so it was very peaceful. The deck was also the perfect hangout spot for a nice fall evening!

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. There was plenty of space for our group of 11. The owner was very easy to work with and very responsive. The house was clean, and had everything we needed. Our kids loved the canoe and paddle boat, and I loved how secluded the area was. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful trip away!

Awesome house!

This house and location are awesome! The house has tons of room for everyone to stretch out and relax! Tons of beds. They have thought of everything as far as games, and toys. The best thing about this house is the location. Right on the water. It is private and anything you want to do you can do. We enjoyed the kayaks, the water carpet, the slide. My family loved this home and lake location. They are already talking about booking it again next year. The only thing we were a little put off about was the water jets in the jetted tub. When we turned them on, black stuff started coming out of them. I think they need to just be cleaned and disinfected a little more. We didn't use the jets again after that, but everything else about the place was wonderful and we had a blast! Karen H, Pittsburgh, Pa Aug 2021

Great Getaway

This is a great home on a very peaceful part of the lake. We had such a good time using the kayaks, paddle board and paddle boat. The kids loved the sliding board on the dock. We had a fire in the firepit and made smores and roasted marshmallows while the kids caught fireflies. It was truly a much needed wonderful time. This is our second time staying there and have never been disappointed. Stephanie, the host is so gracious and such a pleasure. We look forward to staying again.

Awesome week at SML

This house is everything they claim it is. We were 8 guys on a week long fishing trip. Full days of fishing then coming back to relax at this beautiful home. There was plenty of room to accommodate all of us including our vehicles and 4 bass boats tied up to the dock all week. PS, when they tell you the driveway is steep and you will need 4 wheel drive, you had better believe it. But we had no issues with that at all.

Peaceful retreat

Great property for our family of 4 - plenty of space to spread out. Loved the firepit, canoe, paddleboat, pool table, and media room. Very peaceful place to relax and get away from it all!

Short Lakeside Break

We spent three nights at this amazing lakeside home. First impression arriving a the property was this driveway is pretty steep. Then, what a beautiful view! The views were amazing from outside the home, as well as from inside the home. The home was stocked with pretty much any pantry item or appliance you could need. We made good use of the waffle maker. Our kids love Waffles. All of the bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels, toilet paper and hand soap. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of extra blankets for those that tend to get chilly, or like the temperature lower. While the kids loved the bathtub and spacious master bath, My wife and I loved the spacious bedroom with King bed and full bathroom on the top floor. It was like a separate retreat when we wanted a few minutes alone. We didn't take advantage of the boats at the dock due to the cold weather, but did do a little fishing and had a fire one night. There was plenty of firewood and skewers for roasting marshmallows. The basement with games, pool table, foosball, and movie room was were we spent most of our time. What a great entertainment area! Stephanie was an amazing host. Any question we had was answered within minutes. Thank you for your attention! We are sure to keep this as a favorite of ours for future family trips.

Awesome get away for family and friends

The house is amazing. There is plenty of room in the house. The play room is a big plus for the rainy days. We enjoyed our stay so much. We played pool, we did kayaking and we also start a fire and we made s'mores. Everything was perfect.

A beautiful, comfortable, spacious house with a relaxing setting

We had a wonderful time. The house was even more beautiful than the pictures. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and entertainment to please everyone. The host has thought of every detail and we felt welcomed and very comfortable. We had middle aged people, those in their 20's, a teen, a 5 year old, a toddler and a baby. All of us had a great time. Even though it was cold and we couldn't get out on the water, we still stayed entertained. We especially enjoyed the theater room and the fire pit. We all left with great memories and can't wait to come back again.

Perfect

The hosts are good people and very responsive. The house was perfect for our family... 2 kids (3,1) and 6 adults. Plenty to do and plenty of space ..... the house was well stocked and is a vacation in its own. Will definitely visit again when visiting family in Roanoke.

Mi familia y yo disfrutamos mucho de estas vacaciones porque la casa está en un lugar tan pacifico y inspira mucha tranquilidad y era justo lo que todo los que pasamos allí esos días era lo que necesitábamos ya que con la pandemia y ver tanto sufrimiento debido a esa terrible enfermedad nos da mucha ansiedad,pero esos días nos pudimos relajar mucho en lo personal lo recomiendo al 100% si buscan disfrutar de la naturaleza y disfrutar con la familia !! La casa está muy equipada con todo!!! Tienen una mesa de billar 🎱 yo nunca había jugado y allí aprendí con mis amigos y me encanto.!!! Y tiene un teatro igual disfrutamos de ver una película y se siente mucho mejor que estar en el cine 😊😊 Gracias por toda su atención !!Stephanie !!!!

Serene Lake Retreat

This truly was a serene getaway. If you want quiet and peace this is a great location. Accommodation provided everything that we required. Had a nice campfire the last night. Fun on the paddleboat. Would certainly stay here again.

Amazing location!

What a beautiful and serene place to experience a quick getaway with family or a two week vacation! The amnesties were thoughtful and top notch with a lake stay experience in mind. Water craft(paddle) and fishing gear etc. Was awsome! We opted to rent a boat at an area marina which delivered it And picked it up. They were Also great. The indoor area amenities such as pool Table, and foosball as well as a cinema room with reclining chairs and 80" screen! Bring popcorn! Even if your vacation experiences rain. Inside will keep you and your family having with lots of games and media. Thanks again! Cant wait to visit again!

Amazing house with tons to do!

The location on the lake is gorgeous! Beautiful landscaping and the dock is wonderful. Between the outdoor water toys (paddleboat, kayaks, water slide, water mat, canoe and paddleboard) and inside amenities (movie room, foosball. pool table, games and books), there is entertainment for all ages! We had a group of 9 ( 4 adults, 2 teens and 3 children) and there was plenty of room. Stephanie was very responsive and welcoming. We had an amazing trip!

Love staying here
