Amazing gardens and a magical view of Deception Pass. We saw marine life every day. Loved seeing porpoises and harbor seals. Also lots of birds attracted to the gardens.

A truly remarkable and beautiful property. There are many thoughtful extras that are available should you need them. Fully stocked and functional kitchen. It is a great studio space for two people with a large bathroom and nice laundry room.

We had the most amazing stay. The property couldn’t be more beautiful and relaxing. It was hard to leave. There were jellyfish, seals, and eagles amongst other wildlife and beautiful landscaping to make it the perfect getaway.

Awesome view. We saw a bald eagle every morning fly right by our window. Beautifully appointed, comfortable bed, and a well stocked kitchen. You will want to come back. Thanks, Rich and Diane for all the beauty that surrounds the guest house.

Such a lovely spot! Very comfortable and well appointed to make our stay perfect. Attention to detail throughout. Appreciated the coffee and milk for our mornings. Kitchen was well equipped. The flowers beds surrounding the house were amazing and the view out the wall of windows was wonderful! Definitely the nicest rental we've ever stayed in. Thank you!!

The Hideaway was absolutely blissful. We literally spent hours sitting in comfortable chairs and enjoying the views of Widbey Island just across the straight. It was tranquil beyond belief. The accommodations itself were superb, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Communication with the owner was seamless and pleasant. We very much wish to find opportunities to stay at the hideaway in the future--the entire experience was joy incarnate :-).

We loved our stay here. Very clean and comfortable space, with a gorgeous view. We enjoyed watching the sea lions and kingfishers in the morning too.

What a peaceful stay. The accommodations were very comfortable and the grounds were beautiful with the flowers lining the pathway and the views of the water. We only stayed overnight, but utilized as much as we could including the outdoor firepit and the quick trail leading to the water. Thanks for the hospitality.

From the beautiful vistas through the picture windows to the garden patio with the fire pit, everything was perfect! Kingfisher Cover Hideaway felt private and tucked into the trees which provided views of birds and sea life. A great place to unwind and reconnect. We recommend it to anyone looking for that special place to make new memories! A wonderful place to spend our 30th Wedding Anniversary!
There was a slight mist out on the water the second morning.
There are so many little sculptures tucked here and there. See if you can find this one.
Breakfast on the morning of our anniversary. Small but easy to use kitchen provided all the tools we needed to cook our meals.
A little overcast on the last day but still a beautiful sight right on the patio.

House hunting trip

Looking to buy a house in the Anacortes area and saw this beautiful accommodation nearby. The actual place was exactly as advertised and in my mind better than I expected. So peaceful and secluded right on the water. It has made it hard to find anything that compares. I will be back.

Fantastic home, fantastic homeowners, and fantastic stay! We stayed two nights at Kingfisher, and it was absolutely wonderful. The cozy and well-appointed home, the views, and the wildlife all made for an enjoyable and memorable stay. This little tucked away spot on the bluff feels secluded in nature, yet is conveniently close to town. Our favorites were watching the tide come in and out, the jellyfish, and searching for seals - bring binoculars for added seal-watching fun! We also saw crabs, kingfishers, garter snakes, and as a special treat, Elsie Mae the elephant seal at a nearby bay - thanks Diane for the tip! 10 out of 10!

Perfect getaway for two with a wonderful view, comfortable accomodations in a craftsman-style space, beautifully decorated interior, lovely surroundings, colorful gardens, and friendly, helpful owner nearby. Location is close to Deception Pass State Park with good hiking, views, and the iconic bridge. Plus near Anacortes and its bevy of restaurants, shops, hiking opportunities, & Mount Erie, accessible by vehicle via a paved, narrow, winding road to the top where the views are unparralled. To be fair, the only drawback was lack of reliable internet, so keep that in mind if you need it. And no TV, so bring your books or play games on site.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The property is incredibly tasteful, serene, and beautifully appointed, with everything feeling thoughtful and high quality. The view is truly unbelievable and even better in person.The hosts were so warm and personable, and the fresh flowers and card waiting for us upon arrival were such a lovely touch. Everything exceeded our expectations on every level. We couldn’t have picked a better place and already can’t wait to stay again!
