Great Family Reunion

We had a reunion of the whole family at South Down and the Eagle Drive property was a terrific addition. Our condo nearby was base camp and it was super easy to get everyone together.

Wonderful home and host

This was my second stay in Bill's home - once in 2020 and now for the 4th holiday weekend. I love the neighborhood. The location is right near the beach and Bill is very responsive to any needs. Highly recommend!

Great lake retreat!

This property was ideal for what we were looking for in a lakeside getaway, and the owner was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The house itself was immaculate and had everything we could have possibly needed for a comfortable stay. It was hard to leave! The community itself is also particularly special because it provides easy access to the fun tourist attractions of the lakes regions but also provides peace and quiet within the private neighborhoods and less busy community amenities, like the shared beach, tennis and pickleball courts, and green belt. We would highly recommend this listing and the owner. We hope to be back again!

Great location house disappointing

We were told we needed bed linens two days before arrival and we had already left our home state. On arrival we were not told how to get into the house. Check in says 3:00 but he changed it to 4:00. We were there at 4:00 but could not get in. Finally had contact with property owner around 6:30 PM. Upon entering house smelled musty, no air conditioning on first floor, all doors creaked, cobwebs and dustballs, tub dirty and did not drain master bedroom bath, curtains dirty in bedroom, water marks on ceilings, nothing covering the master bathroom window, grill dirty, someone else’s clothes in dresser, opened food left in refrigerator, beds and furniture old, shower curtain liners old and rusty, linoleum flooring in some bathrooms, antiquated appliances, furnishings and decor. Air conditioning would reset at 3:00 am. Seems he may have had control of the air conditioning could set to 68 one day and the rest of the trip only to 70. Would lower the temperature and then it would change. All in all I would think twice if you want comfort and cleanliness.

The house was cleaned well and large enough for 5 people to stay in comfortably. We spent a lot of time at the beach which was a short walk from the property. Bill was very easy to reach if we needed anything.

Wonderful home and wonderful Host

Bill is a fantastic host. His home is lovely and in a great location. It was a short walk to the end of his street to the greenway and the beach. The home was large and comfortable. It was lovely to stay in a gated community where you could walk to the beach, bocce courts, or the marina (where my nephew couldnt get enough of watching the boats). Thanks, Bill!

Very Nice Area and Neighborhood, house a bit dated

Even though its not quite on the lake, its a 5 minute walk to the lake and very nice grounds. The house is dated and a bit musty. It does have AC and a good size modern TV downstairs only so I was able to watch Netflix. The property is in a gated community that has a nice large lake front and beach area. Definitely the best part is the outside hanging out by the lake. As far as the house being dated, some older carpet, older appliances (but they do work), a musty (like moth balls) scent that kind of went away after we aired out the house. Beds weren't comfortable, but it was fine for the weekend. The house is like a duplex townhome or condo split with another completely separate unit. It has 3 levels, bottom is kitchen and living room, then 2 bedrooms, and 2 smaller bedrooms on 3rd floor. AC vents are round, so it kind of pushes air like a jet engine, I blocked a few of them in my room with some socks so the air wouldn't blow that hard. We were in a bit of a heat wave so it was good that it did in fact have AC. Overall one of the most beautiful areas in the country and great gated lake community. House is ok for a few nights, but not exactly what I had hoped for. Didn't have a view of the lake, you can see the corner of a pond from the master. The picture on the profile with the pond and the lake in the background, was probably taken 50-100 yards from where the house is. So I gave it 3 of 5 stars, I had a good time in NH overall though, I recommend the Mt Washington Cruise and York Beach

Family vacation

We stayed here in 2nd week in July. Wonderful time, place was big, everything we needed was there. Short walk to beach and boating. Bill, the owner was wonderful and could not say enough about this place. Would rent again

Perfect time.

We had a great experience at this home. Beautiful location with plenty of bedrooms for our eight guests. It was in a perfect location. We went to see Zac Brown Band and it was very close. The owner was very nice. I highly recommend this home.
