Built by respected log home builder - Larry Barnes - this wonderful Colorado custom log home enjoys peace and tranquility with majestic La Plata Mountain Views. Driving up to the house with its Silverton Eureka Rock driveway easily accommodates multiple cars and convenient in-and-out access. This great Colorado log home is located minutes to shopping/restaurants in Historic Downtown Durango as well as 3 major ski areas. Walk up the slate-tiled steps to the covered porch and enter this lovely home through the double glass doors. The home immediately opens to a huge western facing bay of windows in the living/dining room perfectly positioned to take in the grand mountain views. Located to the left of the entryway is the kitchen equipped with granite tile countertops, slate tile floors and stainless steel appliances. Birch cabinets and drawers filled with everything you will need to make your vacation feel like home. A two-sided wood burning fireplace with river rock surround offers the romantic ambiance of an evening fire to both the living room and the master suite. An elk antler chandelier overhanging the dining area adds a touch of Colorado flair. The master suite has its own patio access and a master bathroom that will surely satisfy. An oversized Jacuzzi tub sits in the corner of the room supported by a travertine surround. Relax in a warm jet bath and enjoy the mount views through the window next to the tub! The bathroom also has a walk-in shower with travertine tile and dual sinks with stylish oval vanity mirrors. Don't forget about the dual-sided fireplace to keep you warm on those colder evenings!

For convenience, a laundry room with washer & dryer is suitably located adjacent to the master suite and the living room. Extreme La Plata Mountain views will be enjoyed from this spacious concrete patio spanning the width of the home. This area will produce many memorable barbeques with friends and family. Canned overhead lighting is fixed into the exterior eaves and provides a nice lighting element for the evening time. Privately located on the other side of the home, the 2nd master suite with a full walk-thru bathroom and individual access to the patio. This 2nd suite offers a full bathtub and shower complimented by a glass block wall at the far end of the tub. This home comfortably sleeps 6. Beautiful Place

Highly recommend this house and setting. It's a beautiful secluded home that is fully stocked with everything you would need to relax, cook your meals and view the stars. The garage was a great addition to put our motorcycles in at night and the property/house is spectacular. We had a great time and expect we'll be back before long.

What a beautiful cabin this is! Excellent views and very private.

This was one of our best vacations! The cabin is centrally located to the city, mountains, and other attractions. We were able to cook most of our meals in the beautiful kitchen which saved us money and we were able to sit on the patio to watch the sunset. The owner gave great recommendations for sites and attractions in town and beyond. She was dead on with her suggestions! We would love to go back to see the cabin in the winter and will gladly stay there again.

Exceptional Stay In Durango

The house was five star all around with everything you would

expect if you were home.....The owners are more than over the top

to insure you are comfortable and have everything you need.....They

even had a happy Birthday Baloon waiting for my wife upon arrival.....

Very personable indeed....and just one more thing....I hope you are fortunate

enough to see the sunsets....I took some of the most awesome pictures from the

back porch of the most beautiful sunsets.....ever.....

Please visit if you are in Durango...its only 15 min or so to downtown....

log cabin retreat

We enjoyed our visit here in July. Beautiful log cabin with 2 spacious rooms and a cozy loft. The master had a fireplace, jacuzzi, shower and a walk in closet. We really liked the exposed log beams on the interior. It was cozy and all the amenities of home.

We chose this location due to the fires just north of Durango. The property is close to the airport and just 10 mins from south Durango. A great getaway in the foothills.

Spring Break Vacation

My family and I spent our Spring Break in this beautiful home! This home more than enough to accomadate our small family and its very warm and inviting. The views are breathtaking!! We loved the outdoor patio and waking up to the beautiful sunrise over the mountains. This home is not very far from town which is very convenient. Renee was amazing!! She was very thorough with providing our family with everything we could possibly need. She was very easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. She also provided us with information pertaining to Durango and the most common visited areas and restaurants. I would highly recommend this home to families vacationing, sightseeing, or having romantic getaways. Thanks again Renee for sharing your beautiful home with our family and we look forward to staying here again!
