The property was very clean. My son bragged about how home-like it felt with the library and overall set-up of the space. The host was very pleasant, hospitable, and readily available for any questions. He made our stay very pleasant and I would recommend this property to anyone I know who is looking to stay near the downtown Decatur area.

We had a great stay in this thoughtfully outfitted garden apartment. Private, quiet space, with everything you could need. The host was wonderful - helpful and responsive. Nice walk to restaurants and 10 minute walk to MARTA station. Would recommend!

I was in town with my daughter moving her into college, and needed to plan several days for shopping, moving, school orientation, etc., and Monty’s studio was perfect. It is tucked away on a very private residential street, so I felt comfortable parking my SUV full of my daughter’s belongings on the street for a couple of nights before move-in. The unit also feels very private with its own entrance and little garden sitting area. It’s very quiet and despite the summer heat, it was nice and cool inside. Monty was such a pleasure to meet and gave us excellent restaurant and coffee shop recommendations, which were very close by. Would definitely stay again on a future trip!

Monty was a great host! So helpful and accommodating. His neighborhood is charming and walkable. There's a sweet little park at the end of the street that has a path through to the next street. From there, downtown Decatur is just a few minutes away.

This place was so cute, and bigger inside than I expected. As a solo female traveler I am always looking for safe areas, and I was able to walk to and from cute downtown Decatur at night and felt perfectly safe. Monty was very kind and hospitable and very quick to respond to messages. I will definitely hope to stay here next time I'm in Atlanta.

My nephew’s lodging plan fell through at the last minute. He was attending and volunteering at MomoCon, and was devastated because hotel prices were extremely high. I found this delightful cottage on Vrbo and knew that it would be a perfect fit for my nephew. He absolutely loved his stay and on his way home, he called me to say, “The place you rented was great and I wanna stay there again next year!“. Monty responded quickly to all of John’s questions. He is definitely an awesome host and I highly recommend his listing.

We had a great stay here. The host was very friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to make sure that we had a pleasant stay. His suggestions about the area and dining were spot on. Communication throughout the entire process, and stay, was excellent.My wife and I loved the garden level apartment which had everything we needed. Pictures don't do the location justice as the scene of the house yard is beautifully quaint. It was a great place to stay during down time or to return to at the end of a busy day. It is located in what appears to be a very nice neighborhood. Many restaurants and shops were close enough that my wife and I enjoyed walking to a number of them. The location of this apartment is great.We will definitely be returning!

Do not hesitate to book this unique, beautiful, and historic apartment. Monty was a fabulous host and offered excellent recommendations (Chai Pani!!) and everything you need to know about the apartment is in the handy guidebook, including some of the history of the home. The shade garden, wisteria porch, and pond are wonderful. So many little moments of beauty (see pictures).As a single traveler, I felt 100% safe the entire time I was there, but more than that -- I felt at home. I hope to return next year.Check-in was seamless, the kitchen was great for basic cooking (I try to cook on my trips to save ), Wi-Fi was nice and clear, and all that. And Monty is a 5-star host.Again, do not hesitate to book this. Unless you're booking it when I'm going next year.
