Immaculately well kept and beautiful property. They greeted us upon arrival and were very friendly and polite. This place really exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend. Wonderful location and great authentic Kyoto experience. Thank you!
We loved our stay and rented two of the homes, both of which were charming and full of character. Staying here gave us the opportunity to experience life in a traditional Japanese home, which made our trip even more memorable. Everyone in our group agreed it was a much more enjoyable and authentic experience than staying in a hotel. The location was excellent, with easy access to several places on our itinerary, and the walk into town along the river was especially beautiful and relaxing. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in Kyoto.
Perfect cozy traditional houses within walking distance of Gion and many Temples and Museums. The neighborhood was very quiet. We will definitely visit again.

It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’re very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay.
We would love to welcome you again whenever you visit Kyoto in the future!
Excellent host communication. Property was clean and accurate. Loved the experience. It is a traditional house, so I don’t recommend for tall individuals.
A facility in a great, historical location of Kyoto to see temples and downtown within walking-distance; very nice hosts😎

Lovely property! The house was nice and stayed cool even during the hottest days. Everything worked perfectly and the location was really nice. Owners were very communicative and easy to talk to as well. It was also really nice to have all the houses in one courtyard so going to talk to friends was easy. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
This place is ideal for any Kyoto vacation- a peaceful, beautiful, tucked-away group of small houses perfect for our large family gathering. Easy access to the city sites and amazing restaurants, including the incomparable Tsukioka.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear that our accommodation provided the perfect setting for your family gathering in Kyoto. It’s wonderful that you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and found the location convenient for exploring the city and its fantastic dining options, including Tsukioka. We hope to welcome you and your family back for another memorable stay in the future!
Our house was super cute! It’s a traditional home in structure but very modern indoors. It was chilly downstairs, but they provided an extra space heater to keep it warm enough. Upstairs the bedrooms were really comfortable and plenty warm. The best part is that this is one of many homes in a shared courtyard, so our extended family was able to spread into 3 houses but all still be together.
We were able to fit into 3 of the houses with a family in each. Very central & easy to get around. Clean and comfortable.

Authentic accommodation. The host and the owner were wonderful. We dealt with Satoru who was amazing. Speaks fluent English and very knowledgeable of the area. His recommendations were great especially for food. Will happily stay there again.
Our family of 14 people had a wonderful time in this authentic Japanese style house. Very clean, quiet neighborhood, with washer and dryer were very convenient for family with children.
The Tsuki and Sora houses were both perfect for our stay in Kyoto. The atmosphere was a combination of traditional and modern, and our adult daughters (and their husbands) were enchanted with the properties. Our host, Mika, took time to meet us upon our arrival, and she explained everything in detail, so we felt right at home from the moment we stepped into each house.Whether you have a small group or a large one, we highly recommend this for your visit to Kyoto!
We were personally greeted for check in and the process went smoothly. We loved the location as it was convenient to resteraunts and public transportation to see all the sites. The home has been in the owner's family for 15 generations and gave us the authentic Japanese felt experience. The owner was very hospitable and respectful.

I cannot say strongly enough how great this stay was. We had excellent communication with the owner, on arrival he was there to provide detailed information. The places were stocked with everything we needed and the houses were clean. The location is just about perfect for Kyoto and we were pleased with the hosts response to any request.
Honestly, a stay in Kyoto doesn’t get better than this.
We had a fantastic stay at this property in Kyoto. The location is quiet and peaceful but easy access to public transport and the rest of the city.
We stayed in 2 of the houses and they were clean and comfortable. Mika (the host) was extremely helpful throughout our stay and even helped us to deal with a problem we had with a restaurant booking.
Would definitely recommend 100%
Thank you!

I had a great stay in the Tsuki house. It’s a lovely traditional house but with all the modern conveniences you need for a comfortable visit. Plus I was met by Satoru, a delightful young man, who walked me through the house to make sure I understood how things like the washer/dryer worked and answered any questions I had. I really appreciated the personal touch.
We were thrilled to rent these houses for our group of teachers who were touring Japan. Kei Nakamura was very responsible and helpful, the location is quite good yet quiet in a lovely neighborhood. Houses were charming and updated. We would definitely rent from Mr. Nakamura again.
Kei has a wonderful collection of properties that are central to everything you want to see and do in Kyoto. It was a fantastic homebase location. We rented 2 houses to accommodate our group, it was intimate and gave the space we needed for 9 people.
The property owner and assistants speak English fluently and are so helpful with recommendations and support. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. We highly recommend this property.

Our family rented out all five houses and had a wonderful stay in Kyoto. The houses were spotless and very charming. It gave us what we felt like was an authentic Kyoto experience. Kei and Ayumi were excellent with communication and went above and beyond to help us with dinner reservations and other small requests. The Wifi worked great and the homes were very comfortable. We would recommend them to anyone.
An amazing stay in Kyoto! We were 3 separate families and this accommodation was perfect. Everything was perfect from the luxurious accommodation, The incredible staff and the close proximity to all the sites in Kyoto. The staff were so kind and helpful. It was convenient for new years to be able to visit temples for the new year bells etc and we were so close to gion! Could not recommend it more!

Thank you for staying at our accommodation. We were very glad to host you guys!
You’re always welcome. Hope to see you in the future again!
We rented two of the houses for a party of 8, including one toddler. It was set up beautifully for us, spotless, and so comfortable! Or house had one bedroom with futon beds and one with Western style double bed. Kitchen was small but had everything we needed. A quiet back street (with a courtyard!) but easily walking to everything. And the goat was wonderful! Very accommodating and responsive! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
