Beautiful Southern Vermont Farmhouse on 100 Acres, Spectacular Views, Swim Pond

Located in the heart of Southern Vermont at the end of an unpaved road, Senecal Farms is a charming four bedroom farmhouse in a spectacular setting. Built in 1865, this traditional home is ideal for families who love the outdoors. The home is situated on one hundred acres adjacent to the Green Mountain Forest with rolling meadows, sugar maple groves, a river, and breathtaking long range views. Swim in the half-acre spring-fed pond with dock, enjoy quiet walks on the extensive grounds, watch deer graze in the meadow or host your group on the large deck with its propane grill. Your pet is absolutely welcome, although we require a maximum of two pets per reservation group.

Please note: If you are booking time eight months or more in advance and your chosen reservation is named the date of a high demand local event, your price may go up and you will have right of first refusal to keep your dates.

"My daughter booked your rental for her wedding back at the end of May
and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. The booking was
easy and you were so open and willing to help us with any special
requests we had such as leaving the tent and tables we rented for a
couple extra days after we checked out. This flexibility made things
so much easier when working with all the logistics of a wedding and we
appreciate it so much! The weather was good for us and the property
was spectacular. The photos turned out just beautiful.
The home was clean, very well maintained and well equipped. We found
everything we needed to make sure all the guests staying at the
property were comfortable. Thank you again for everything that helped
make my daughters special day as perfect as it could be."

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our stay! The location feels remote and has a gorgeous view, but is close to shops and things to do in North Adams and Williamstown. The house is charming and comfortable, we had three kids that were happy there.

Such a great place to stay, close to everything, but private and secluded. The views from the deck are awesome, renting arrangements were simple and straight forward and the maple syrup a very special treat from the owners. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay in idyllic location

This was the perfect location for our small wedding celebration. The house itself is cozy and comfortable, the view from the porch being a highlight. Would definitely recommend going for walks in the trails around the property. Venetia was a joy to work with.

Comfortable house, breathtaking view

We had a lovely week in Stamford, enjoying the wonderful house and the incredible view from the deck. The pond is huge and deep and wonderful. There are tons of nice hikes nearby. This is a great place to stay if you want to be near Mass Moca, Williamstown, and Bennington.

A Picturesque Haven of Comfort and Beauty in Vermont!

Such a beautiful, serene destination. Even when it was raining it was beautiful! Our twin granddaughters (6) loved hiking through the woods with Grampy and checking it all out. Absolutely gorgeous.

Our trip was amazing this house was a significant part of that experience. While we were here for a festival, coming back to this wonderful property was so great. The view is amazing and we were all super comfortable. And, the Maple Syrup is fantastic. Venetia was super easy to work with and the Senecal's have a great place. Thanks, we'll see you again!

Magnificent natural setting and peaceful quiet privacy

This property is exactly what we were after. Endless greenery, natural meadows, rolling mountain views. A fabulous place to shut out all the noise of a busy society. Only sounds are the birds singing and some gentle Summer breezes. It is a very old, rustic home, but it was actually just right. Clean, very comfortable beds. I would certainly rent again.

Great Father's Day Weekend!!

Used as a homebase for a Father's Day cycling Weeknd. Venetia met us right as we checked in and showed us around and gave us some great recommendations for town. The deck provides a great view of the pond and mountains in the distance. Stay up after dark to see the fireflies in the wildflowers beneath the deck, a fantastic sight!!

My daughter, my dogs and myself had a great time. It was very quiet and the view was GREAT. We had deer coming up to the house and my 2 little dogs would chase them.. But I would tell everybody, if you want peace and quiet this is the house to go to. The people you rent the house from was very nice and polite and very helpful. If I go back ti VT I will rent this house again.

We really enjoyed our stay

We rented this place for a girls weekend in mid October and it did not disappoint. The property had amazing views (beautiful foliage too) and was in a quiet area. We played lots of outside games on the large lawn, spent a lot of time on the large deck, and the house accommodated eight of us with no problem. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had two very clear nights and the moon and stars were truly amazing. We would stay here again. Great communication with the manager. She was helpful and responded quickly to all of my questions.

Amazing farm!

Absolutely gorgeous farm set in a bucolic location. The pond, woods, and mountains beyond are truly beautiful. The house was very clean and was comfortable for the 7 of us- large living area, plus large deck off it overlooking pond and mountains. Dining table with 8 chairs. Kitchen well stocked. Comfortable beds. Note that the upstairs shower/tub is under a pitched roof where adults can’t stand so we shared downstairs shower! Host was very responsive before and during stay.

Beautiful getaway

We chose this location for getting away from the noise and rush of daily life and it was perfect. Quiet, tranquil, and beautiful. We could have easily stayed much longer. The farmhouse had more than enough space for our small party of two and we appreciated the deck especially. Loved enjoying the view. The kitchen was stocked with all utensils and pans needed for us to prep meals at he farmhouse and bathrooms were well stocked with plenty of towels and soaps. The major grocery store was just about ten minutes away but you felt much further away from the town. We couldn't have asked for more, it was one of our favorite stays!

Wonderful place

Fantastic property with beautiful views. The farmhouse was fine. I could not get the heater to work on two cool nights but it was not that important because the temperature stayed nice inside the house without heat. The owner was responsive but unable to fix it until after we left. The house was close (15-30 minutes) to good restaurants, grocery stores and beautiful hikes. All things considered it was perfect for me and three adult children
