A wonderful stay in a charming home in Northampton! Every modern convenience, impeccable cleanliness, with the warmth and comfort of a historic home - we could not have found a more restful play to stay to visit the five colleges. We will absolutely will return!
Host Kait is superb, welcoming, friendly and helpful (left the lights on for me when she knew I might be late arriving on the train) -- a real pleasure to know as a host. Amenities are great, too, in the nicely refurbished 300 year old property!
Centrally located, historical and beautifully renovated. A little flavor of 1700s Northampton but with modern plumbing :). A block from historic downtown.

The house was very well put together, very clean, very agréable to live in, and so pretty. I highly recommend it. And Kait was so helpful when needed!
We really enjoyed the house, yard, and especially the closeness to union station. Our niece was married there and walking back and forth was great. Only recommendations would be to add a microwave and curtains in the bedrooms. That early morning sun was sure a “wake up” call. Enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for hosting us, Kait! Kait was so communicative and was so flexible with me checking in a a little bit early. My dog and I stayed here for 3 nights and the space was exactly what we needed. So close to Downtown North Hampton - walkable to all the coffee shop and places to eat. Place was clean and had everything we need. I give this a 4.5/5 stars - so very close to 5/5. The only reason is because there is no driveway spot so it could be a little hard unloading during busy times - I had no issues finding off free street parking on one of the small streets around the block. Lastly, if you do have a small dog, be careful about the backyard space. The gaps underneath the fence is quite large and smaller dogs can easily slip through. Overall, it was a great space. We would definitely stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Kaitlin LaRue
I’m a western mass native and UMass Alum. I’ve worked and lived in downtown Northampton and love so much about the city. Especially the unique independently owned shops and restaurants. I really enjoy creating a cozy spot for visiting folks to come and explore the place I love. My partner and I restored this little house ourselves and it is so satisfying to share it with our guests.
Why they chose this property
Cafes, book stores, flower shops, crafts, vintage and antiques! All at your fingertips. Plus it’s easy access to the bike path that connects Haydenville and Easthampton.
What makes this property unique
Our 300 year old home is unlike any other place you’ll stay. An early 1700s farm house that has been built around with brick and concrete for centuries. Just like the house from the movie ‘Up’! But against all odds this house remained along with a little slice of land that is now bursting with plants, flowers and birds. It’s like going back in time but with modern amenities and comfort.
