3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8
We're a family of four living in Corvallis, Oregon, who have had a lifelong love of outdoor activities in the mountains. Dad does marine research at Oregon State University, Mom is a dietetics professional, and the two boys are in grade school. We all love the outdoors and enjoy visiting the cabin every chance we get.
Deborah purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Deborah chose Sisters
We have always loved the land around Sisters -- the mountains and rivers, the pine forest, the scenery of McKenzie Pass, the hikes up toward North Sister, the Metolius River (and, for the younger two of us, the fun of throwing rocks in it), the skiing, the rafting and kayaking. And the sun -- when we're weary of the gray that envelops the Willamette Valley for many months of the year, the escape to the east side of the mountains is priceless. And then there's the town -- visiting the galleries to see what's new, stopping at Sno-Cap for some ice cream or the Sisters Coffee Company for baked treats, dining all over the place, or just walking around to soak up the ambiance. We looked for a place near Sisters for a long time and couldn't find anything that really called out to us -- until we came on this cabin. We decided it was the right one when we first saw the setting and then saw the inside. Good spacious neighborhood, well-kept place, plenty of room inside, and convenient to Sisters. It took only minutes to decide that this was the place (though of course the real estate transaction took months!).

Peaceful cabin for a family getaway
Despite a slight mishap of housekeeping not knowing we were arriving, which was fixed right away, we enjoyed our stay in the house. It is away from the town and peaceful. We spotted deer and other wildlife in the backyard and had a nice 4th of July grilling on the deck and relaxing while the kids played games in the large backyard. It had plenty of room, bedding and dishware for our party of 7. A few spots like the master bathroom could use some paint, and we ran out of washing machine detergent, but otherwise the beds are comfortable, there is plenty of seating and after a long day of outdoor activities, it's a comfy place to relax.
Comfortable home at a great price
This home worked perfectly for 11 of us in town for my youngest son's wedding. Simply appointed with plenty of breeding, towels, games, kitchenware etc. The location is beautiful. If you want luxury, this might not be for you, but if you like a normal family home at a great piece, this fits the bill!
Sisters, OR Retreat
This was the perfect getaway place for my wife and I and two of our closest friends! Very peaceful with spectacular views. We hope to return again!!
We spent a restful weekend with family here. The property was just as described, quiet but close enough to town with easy access to excellent restaurants. We hope it will be available for our next stay in Sisters.
Cozy and clean!
Great location with our son's wedding at Aspen Lakes! If we travel this way in the future we would look to stay here again!
Glad you were able to stay so close for the wedding! Come back soon😀
Thank you for letting us use your home on our wedding weekend. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed their stay :D
Enjoy the tranquility of a quiet cabin in beautiful pine forest. Located 5 miles northeast of Sisters, Oregon, we're on the east side of the Cascades, with dry, sunny weather 300 days a year. The plunging Whychus Creek Canyon is nearby and rural wooded eastern Oregon is all around.
We're a short drive from Sisters, a small mountain arts town that is a hub for vacationers from all over. Sisters provides quick access to sightseeing in spectacular McKenzie Pass and along the Metolius and Deschutes Rivers, gourmet dining (Jen's Kitchen, Kokanee Cafe, ...), high-quality shopping in town (12 unique art galleries in a wide range of media), and outdoor fun. Did we mention outdoor fun? Hiking, golf, fishing and hunting, canoeing, cycling, downhill and cross-country skiing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, disc golf, and much more. The 1.6-million-acre Deschutes National Forest nearby has hundreds of lakes, rivers, mountains, trails, scenic drives, and wilderness areas.
In addition, Sisters has festivals and shows to excite everyone: the Sisters Rodeo (June), the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show (July), the Sisters Folk Festival (September), the Sisters Starry Nights concert series (throughout the year), and many other events.
