This was our second time staying at Andy's Fern House. We stayed here 8 years ago for an anniversary trip. If you are wanting to unplug from the world, and escape to the mountains in solitude and peace ...this is GREAT. Very cozy, peaceful, and secluded. A few things to note, last time this cabin was very well stocked with linens and such. This time not at all. I don't know why the change. 4 towels (for a 6 night stay with a family of 6). 1 washcloth. 2 kitchen towels/clothes. No hot mats at all. We messaged the host and he had the cleaners bring more towels the following day but there were only 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels and no washcloths in that bag either. So we actually ended up having to buy washcloths on the trip, thankfully we needed some new at home anyways. All that to say, still I still would give this cabin 5 stars and would still recommend. However, just know to take your own washcloths and kitchen linens if you plan to do much cooking like I did.
