I purchased this property because I love to be near and play on the ocean. Some of my most favorite things to do at this property are to go for a run along Sunset Cliffs shore line, Sailing, Hiking along the cliffs, going to the beach, watching and listening to the waves hit the shore line or barbecuing in the back yard with a glass of wine, and spending quality time with my gal, family or friends.
What makes this House unique
Before purchasing this property I had been looking in the Point Loma area for the past three years. Never quite finding exactly what I was looking for, but when I walked into the door of this property I fell in love with the view. Some homes I saw had a nice view but none were able to compare to this one.

Attraktive Unterkunft in zentraler Lage und mit atemberaubenden Ausblick auf den Sonnenuntergang.
Wir sind eine fünfköpfige Familie und buchten das Haus für eine Woche. Mit seinen 3 Schlafzimmern bietet es ausreichend Platz für eine Familie unserer Grösse. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und das Wohnzimmer sehr gemütlich.
Das Haus befindet sich in guter Lage. Das heisst, zahlreiche Attraktionen befinden sich in kurzer Fahrdistanz. Der Flughafen, der Hafen, die Mission Beach, der Zoo; all das lässt sich in 15-25 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichen. Die Sunset Cliffs kann man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichen.
Die gute Lage bezieht sich auch auf die Stimmung: Sonnenuntergänge und Meerblick jeden Tag. Diese Sicht bietet sich vom Wohn-, Ess- und Schlafzimmer aus, sowie aus der Küche und von der Terrasse.
Der Vermieter ist freundlich, antwortet sehr zügig und liefert proaktiv alle nötige Informationen. Wir würden das Haus wieder buchen und können es empfehlen. Nur ein kleines Detail würde ich reklamieren - wenn ich denn müsste. Es ist klagen auf hohem Niveau, aber ein Gasgrill wäre besser als ein Holzkohlengrill. Ich will jetzt nicht über Grillkunst und was besser ist streiten. Es geht mir nur darum, dass man gerne einen Grillend geniessen würde. Wenn man von einem langen, vielleicht anstrengenden Familien-Strandtag müde zurück kommt, würde das mit Gas bequemer gehen.

Accommodations were great! The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked for making meals at home, and the layout is spacious.
Very clean, comfortable and quiet. The cliffs and the sunset were fantastic.

A Restful Vacation
We spent 6 weeks in this comfortable Hill St. house. It is an older Pt. Loma residence with up dating in the kitchen and bathrooms. We always enjoy being in this quiet neighborhood for its charm and central location. It is easy to get anywhere in the greater San Diego area from there. The best feature of the house is its spectacular 180 degree view of the ocean and coastline. I particularly liked sitting out on the patio which is covered and partially glasses in, so it is usable regardless of the weather.
The steepness of the hill where the house is located made it a bit difficult for the partially disabled member of our family to enter and exit from vehicles. Fortunately there are good handrails for the stairs leading up to the house. Our son got a traffic ticket for parking on the hill and not crimping the wheels of his truck. The only sign indicating that this is illegal was 2 blocks away at the bottom of the hill.
Mike Hatch, the owner of the house, was particularly responsive to the minor problems which we encountered----a water outage, blown fuses and our ineptness in operating the high tech TV.
Beautiful, clean and great location! Everything was in order and on short notice. We hope to be back soon.
The house on Hill Street is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The ocean views are gorgeous and the location is ideal and quiet. The house itself is extremely clean and quite charming. We would definitely stay again if we return to the San Diego area. The booking and check-in/out process was easy. Mike offered helpful info and is a great host.
In a nut shell this home located in Historic Sunset Cliffs and is close to everything you would want to enjoy and expect to do in San Diego. Gas Lamp Quarter, Little Italy restaurant row, The USS Midway, Beaches, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, surfing, sailing, hiking, golf. It is just minutes from some of the finest restaurants found anywhere, plus all the night life and outdoor activities you would ever expect to experience in beautiful San Diego. All this plus a rock star ocean view while listening to the waves crash against the beautiful shoreline right from the comfort of your vacation home.
