We had a wonderful stay for our 10-year wedding anniversary! This was our first vacation trip with our 14 month old and the house was great for our family to move around inside and out. Our daughter even started walking during our stay! The residence pool was right next to the house and the beach access worked well. Host communication was quick and always willing to answer any questions. Highly recommend for a family vacation house!
We really enjoyed our vacation at this house. It is very clean and beautifully decorated. The host was very responsive and detailed in answering my questions before and during our visit. Check in and check out were a breeze and there was plenty of space for our family of nine. Thank you for helping make our vacation one to remember!
The property was beautiful and clean! It was a great place to visit with my whole family! We loved the outdoor porches for eating, sitting and talking together. There was some communication issues at first with basic supplies but then it was worked out. It is harder to navigate if you have a handicap like I do with all the stairs. We had a super week together to enjoy the sun, beach, pool, meals, and family time!

Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review — it sounds like The Carolina House gave your family exactly the kind of week together you'd hoped for, from porch-side meals to sunny days by the pool. We're glad the supply matter was resolved quickly, and we appreciate you noting the stairs; we'll be sure to keep accessibility in mind as we share details with future guests. We'd love to welcome your family back for another joyful week together.
We loved our time at this house. Very spacious for our family of 5 and visiting in-laws. Fantastic neighborhood with beautiful homes. Golf Cart was a very fun way to get around.
Enjoyed the well furnished spacious house--very nice comfortable bedrooms with cozy linens. Everything in kitchen well marked for location. Enjoyed Ping Pong table.
Good communication.
Good to have golf cart--a little distance to beach--nearer to a Marina.
woul d go back.
This was our second trip to this beautiful home and our 12th trip to Wild Dunes! We've stayed in many beautiful places and this one is in the top 3 best experiences we've had. The home is lovely and well-appointed. The management team, Robin, and Ashley were outstanding. They were consistently responsive and great communicators! I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to stay in another property managed by Robin and her team! Thanks all for a wonderful experience!!

Great house, poor management
Great house, it was in a wonderful location, being wild dunes of course! We loved the space, it was great with kids. We have a truck so even though the beach drive isn’t walking distance we were able to load up and park it. The only thing that was frustrating with the house was there was only a limited number of toilet papers, paper towels and the water pressure was less than sub par. Wish that was communicated so we could have prepared better. The second knob in the master shower didn’t work at all.
When we first booked several months ago, Robin was awesome. I only spoke to her once, but she was very polite. Unfortunately the day we arrived, our first phone conversation was odd. She didn’t give me the warm and welcoming I’d expected. We spent a lot of money to stay at her place (we’d just driven all the way down/ were excited) and it didn’t feel right. I told her my name and our eta, because she had emailed me requesting it. She called back with an immediate “what is your house number”. There was no hi, hello how are you. She was talking to me about how many packages my group had mailed to the house. It was 3 and it seemed to have been very frustrating for them because they did not have the guest name on the reservation matching the package. Understood and I was more than apologetic, she was abrasive. Another lady called me and told me she couldn’t meet us and gave us instructions on how to enter without her. Cool great!! I apologized to her to about the packages and she was very nice and no problem we don’t mind. Great!!!!
Well then we get to the golf cart issue. Miscommunication on my end I’m sure. I checked the yes to a golf cart but I was told by the other lady we had no reservation for it. Ok no problem let’s add it for the price it says on your listing , nope it’s more and she verified it with robin. Btw it’s still says that price in 3 locations on the website right now. Ok fine, not honoring your advertised price- we were stunned and decided to go without.
I think they must have been upset with us after that because we never heard from anyone. The second ice maker never worked and all we got was a “it does work”. Seriously? There was an issue with the recycling. Never addressed it just ignored my only text.
I would probably not stay here again and my house mates agreed. The communication was less than I would expect for the amount we paid to stay here. It’s a shame because the house was awesome!!!
This vacation property was very luxurious top to bottom. Very nice house and resort. The beach was fantastic and also the pool. The house is very large with beautiful balconies and very nice bedrooms for everyone. We enjoyed bike riding, going to concerts in the city, great dining, cooking and family game nights. We went to church in Charleston at a beautiful historic church. We had a fantastic bbq dinner in Sullivans island. Incredible art galleries and shopping on king street. I wish I could afford 2 weeks! There was so much to do and see and experience. High recommendations! The rental host communicated so easily and it was a pleasure dealing with the rental owners.
