Southold Permit # 0361. Pool opens Mid April! One season off of a full renovation - reviews before 2022 are from before our renovation -- Fully renovated North Fork ranch home with gorgeous heated pool, huge yard and ipe deck overlooking Goose Creek. Perfect for an East End getaway for the summer months, or in the off season. Our home sits on a half acre landscaped property overlooking Goose Creek. Kayak or stand up paddle board from our private dock or take a short walk/drive down to the South Harbor Park beach or Cedar Beach. We are also within walking distance to Croteaux vineyards, the only Rose-only winery on the North Fork.

Need to work remotely? We have an office/den with desk space, office supplies, and exercise area with Peloton in the basement.

Our house is super comfortable and easy to manage with a family or a couple other friends. You will have access to private heated pool and private dock - perfect for using our kayaks (2), paddle boards (2). House has 3 Bedrooms and 2 full baths with additional half bath and outdoor shower. The office/den also has a queen sofa bed. Full kitchen with new appliances, dining area - seats 10 (8 comfortably), outdoor dining and seating area, large deck, living room, washer/dryer, air conditioning, 3 cable TVs and WiFi.

We are centrally located in a quiet neighborhood, seconds from wineries, farm stands, restaurants and a short drive into Southold Town. Just down the street, and in walking distance, is Croteaux vineyards - perfect for winetasting and not having to drive! We are also a short drive from Bedell, McCall and Sparkling Pointe vineyards. Greenport Harbor Brewery in Peconic is an easy 5 minute drive.

Our house is perfect for families and friends looking for an easy, comfortable, accessible, and most importantly, relaxing get-away in the beautiful North Fork.

The details: 3 Bedrooms- Master bed with private full bath with King sized bed, 3 guestrooms with queen sized beds, 1 guest full bath and 1 half bath. Large living room, with L shaped couch and connection to dining area. Large outdoor space with retractable awning covering outdoor dining table and outdoor gas grill.

Ideally looking for monthly or multi-week rental tenants. Please feel free to contact us to discuss the terms of your vacation length.

Beautiful property that exceeded expectations. Pros: lovely heated pool, spacious deck, all modern and clean, tastefully decorated, home office if you need to do a bit of work, completely equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, fast wi-fi, powerful & quiet central A/C, located on a quiet street but still 2 miles from excellent dining in Southold, enclosed backyard which is private and beautifully landscaped. A gem!

Amazing Spot

We loved this house so much. It was so hard to leave. It has a high-end vibe but is also very user-friendly. It accommodated all of our needs with the pool and dock for our boat and lots of dining areas for family meals with fresh caught fish. Jeff was super responsive at all times. We are hoping to go back next summer. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect location on the North Fork

This property was ideal for us visiting friends in Southold. It's also close to all the vineyards, Greenport and Shelter Island which we visited via ferry en route to Sag Harbour. The property is well equipped for self catering and the deck is lovely overlooking the creek. We had a few issues with the internet on arrival but Jeff kept in touch and sorted the problem. If we visit Southold again we will definitely consider this property as Jeff has plans to update and renovate parts of the property.

Not Quite What We Expected

We spent two weeks at this property in the summer with our kids. The location could not be better - we absolutely loved being close to everything in Southold and having water access with the dock. The pool and the yard were ideal for our kids. Our son fished off the dock for hours. There were quite a few disappointments during our stay though. Two major appliances didn't work during our stay and we dealt with a repair man at the house for a total of about 12 hours across 4 different days. We sort of felt like the repair man James was on our vacation with us. The pool heater didn't work for the first half of our stay, two of the paddle boards were missing their stabilizing fins, rendering them basically broken (although my husband was able to repair one with a toolkit he found in the garage), and there's an enormous, unsightly stain on the couch. When we checked in, the fridge and pantry were both completely full of the previous tenant's half eaten food. The kitchen is missing basic items like a tablespoon, a teaspoon, a whisk, a meat thermometer, an ice cream scoop... basic items that you assume a kitchen would have. And in general, there just seems to be a lot of wear and tear on the house, furnishings, bedding, etc. I was ready to come home at the end of the trip, let's put it that way. Jeff was very apologetic about the appliance issues and we didn't really bother him with anything else because we were trying to make the most of the situation.

Wonderful and enjoyable time!

The house was perfect! The location is only minutes away from downtown Southold and 15 minutes from Greenport. My husband and I were by ourselves for the first half of the week and there was space for each of us to work in different areas so we weren't disturbing each other. The other 4 adults came at the end of the week and we all fit comfortably. The open layout of the kitchen, great room, dining area allowed us to host a gathering of 12 family members for dinner. The kitchen was well appointed with everything that was needed. It was the perfect space for everyone to be able to spend time with each other.

Beautiful house on the North Fork

The pictures don‘t do justice. In reality the house is even more beautiful. The beauty of the house lies in all the small details, for example the most comfortable beds, the awning, the lovely garden ( picturesque hydrangeas),the pool, the high quality bedding and overall the tasteful decoration.

Comfortable home

I agree with all the previous reviews. Jeff is great, the house has the old North Fork charm. It was very warm the first week in September, so we had to use the AC and it was great. The only downside is getting to the beach. Luckily we were their after Labor Day so no passes were required at the beach a short drive away . Maybe a canoe would work better against the current ( 2 person). We did get out to Goose creek on the kayaks, but the bay thru the channel would have been very difficult. But a lovely home. Clean and comfortable. Perfectly located I have already told Jeff that an outdoor shower, a firepit and a few bikes would be great additions.

Clean - Comfortable - Perfect Location

First, let me say that Jeff is terrific! He was easy to deal with and always quick to respond to any questions or issues. As far as our stay, we had a wonderful experience at Jeff and Melissa's home. The home was immaculate when we arrived. Although it could use some updates, it was quite comfortable for 5 adults. We totally enjoyed the large backyard, the dock and the covered deck (be careful of splinters)! While you shouldn't expect to swim or fish on the creek, you must take advantage of the two kayaks and two paddle boards - its a blast. The location of the home could not have been better. Located in a quiet neighborhood, we were within 15-20 minutes of Greenport, any of the popular vineyards and several beaches. One important note about the beaches: do not expect to visit any Southold beaches unless you are a Southold resident. State beaches are accessible but tend to be very rocky. Although it costs $35 to park, we wound up enjoying South Jamestown Beach three days. Its about 20 minutes away but easy to find. It wasn't as rocky as most and had clean bathrooms and showers. Book with Jeff and Melissa, you won't regret it!

Very clean

The house was very dated but very clean. It is close to Southold town and greenport. The beaches are not that close and we were not allowed to get passes. We could only go to the public beach which is very rocky. It is hard to kayak against the current to the sandy beach. The deck is rotted in a few places and the BBQ didn't work properly bc it was very dirty. It is very buggy in the backyard bc of the creek. Overall we enjoyed our stay bc it was so close to everything.

Lovely house in great location!

We stayed at this house for a week around July 4th, and had a fantastic time. The house is lovely, with a delightful deck and a view of the water. It was incredibly hot our first few days there, but the air conditioning in the house is top notch, and the deck has a great awning which gives a ton of shade. The house is super close to several wineries - close enough that we were able to ride bikes to the wineries. The owner (Jeff) was super responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. We will definitely look to rent this house again! :)

We loved the property, house and location. Great bird and nature watching.

Comfortable and clean. Near vineyards, many good restaurants. What a great time we had sitting in the backyard on the patio watching geese and swans swim by. Kitchen has everything needed if you want to cook. We highly recommend this house.

Comfortable house. Great location.

We arrived Easter Sunday to the best weather of the week and made full use of the large garden to hold and Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Inside the house was just perfect. The lounge and dinning area were just right, warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and used a great deal. The bedrooms and bathroom were just the right size, very comfortable bed in the ensuite room. The town of Southold had all the right amenities, supermarket, bakery, bars and restaurants. An excellent library which you can join as a visitor. Plenty to see and do with some lovely beaches nearby. I’m sure summer and the wine harvesting season it is busier but in April it was very peaceful and quiet. Jeff was an excellent host and was already to answer and questions or offer advice on places to see or visit. On the whole a very relaxing and enjoyable week.

A peaceful river gem

This unassuming home becomes a harmonious haven when you settle in. It is crisp and clean with a feeling of ease . The colors are soft and everything has its place making you feel at home instantly. The view of the river is relaxing as the gentle flow outside blends in perfectly with the living room and the sky light in the kitchen. I arrived on a cold winter day to do some writing and reflect and I could not have asked for anything better. Lovely Stay in Southold

My friends and I booked this house for a New Year's eve weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and convenient to several wineries. The fireplace was a nice addition for us on the cold winter nights. Would not hesitate stay here again. Thanks Jeff!

Wonderful location

Comfortable home in Southold.

Perfect for a comfortable get away for a week on the north fork. Home was well supplied and easy to take care of. Appliances are a bit dated, but did the job. Whenever we had a question or a problem, the owner was quick to respond and very agreeable. The only suggestion I have is to perhaps put in a larger hot water tank. Taking 4 showers one after the other presented a problem.

We had a fantastic stay at Jeff's house; clean, comfortable and kayaks!

We had had a wonderful time grilling and chilling on the deck; sipping wine and watching birds and bunnies. The creek leads out to the bay and is a fun kayacking and paddle board experience. Jeff was a great communicator and very accommodating. Thank you Jeff!

Vacation Bliss!

Where do I begin to tell the story of how great a vacation can be? A sweet vacation in a town many people - including this native Long Islander - have never even heard of. Southold. In my opinion, this place is more fabulous than the pricey Hamptons. The house was absolutely perfect for me and my four girlfriends. Jeff, the owner, pulled out all the stops in terms of creature comforts. The house was well stocked with so many unexpected, but much appreciated items, that I simply cannot remember all of them! (i.e., condiments, wine, balsamic vinegar, spices, local beer, ice cream, cleaning products, kayaks, paddleboards.) The works! We dined on the covered patio every night after visiting local farm stands, wineries and the divine Southold fish market. An assortment of fresh herbs growing in decorative containers on the patio complimented our meals. The beautiful skylight in the kitchen gave us the right amount of energy and inspiration to cook. (It didn't hurt that we had plenty of local wine to enjoy while cooking, either.) The back yard backs up to Goose Creek so it was easy to take the kayaks and paddle boards out to go exploring. So peaceful! There was a blue tooth speaker available so we hooked it up to the laptop so we could have music to sing and dance to. We had a ball and my friends said it was hands down the best girl's trip we ever had!

Beautiful water view, located close to everything: beach, vineyeards, farmers' markets, restaurants. Immaculately clean, well-equipped home with gorgeous back deck, partially covered for shade. Clear instructions.

Wonderful, relaxing getaway!

Just returned from our trip to the North Fork and we didn't want to leave. The home was just perfect. Very cute and comfortable, and we had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. We spent mornings on the deck with our coffee, then would paddle board or kayak on the river. The house is a short drive to a couple of cute beaches, and close to Greenport where we went for brunch and shopping. Each night we fired up the grill and dined outside. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend, and our host was helpful and responsive any time we had a question about the area or the house. We will definitely return!

Lovely home by the water

We had a very nice time at Jeff's house. The pictures are accurate and it was clean, freshly painted, with new furniture. Jeff was available to answer any questions. All in all, a wonderful July 4th weekend.

Easy living out east. Great house great location

Great house is right on the water...with a dock for boating, paddle boarding, swimming...This house has everything... lovely furniture, fabulous kitchen, big TV and fantastic awning covered deck, huge yard to the water...fun location. walked to winery down the street. Love to go out east. Hope to go back again this summer

Jeff is from California and Melissa is a 5th generation North Forker. We purchased the property in the Spring of 2017 and have quickly updated it with a new pool, modern amenities, and central air conditioning.
