Family Friendly Mountain Getaway with Theater & Arcade in the Laurel Highlands

This family friendly mountain retreat is the perfect vacation destination for all ages! Nestled into two private acres in Fern Mountain Estates, this house is located within minutes of Seven Springs, Hidden Valley and Ohiopyle. Between our arcade, movie theater room, and pool table, you’ll never hear the words “I’m bored” during your stay. Whether you are looking for a place to relax and unwind or explore the great outdoors, we think this place will be perfect for your stay. Adventure awaits!

The space

The house comfortably sleeps 13 with a king size bed and sleeper sofa in the master bedroom, a queen size bed and a full size trundle in the second bedroom, another queen size bed in the third bedroom, two sets of twin bunk beds in the large open basement, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The three and a half bathrooms will accommodate a large number of guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the dishes and cookingware you need as well as a Keurig so you can feel energized for your day of adventure. The open concept living room and dining room area is perfect for large groups. Watch the sun set through the windows while staying cozy and warm next to the fire in our wood burning fireplace. The dining room table seats at least ten with an additional three seats at the counter, so your group can share meals together. The theater has seating for five, a massive 70 inch TV, and a mini fridge so you won’t have to miss a second of your favorite movie when you need a drink. The arcade is equipped with your retro favorites, including Ms. Pacman, Golden Tee, 4 player NBA Jam, and electronic darts. We offer the fastest WiFi available in our area so you enjoy using all of your personal devices as well. The fire pit, which has seating for 13, has been one of our guests’ favorite parts of the property. We believe vacation should be more fun and less work so we offer firewood for purchase (optional) on site so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. Each section of firewood in our rack includes a tub of kindling so you have everything you need to enjoy your time by the fire and payment can be made at the end of your stay. Need to charge your EV during your stay? No problem! There is a 50 amp exterior outlet that guests can use for no additional charge. Please remember to bring your own EV charging cord. This was our second time staying in Tammy’s incredible house and we loved it just as much this time! The accommodations are so wonderful that I actually changed the dates of our trip so that we could stay here. Beautiful, spacious, organized and with every amenity you can think of. My son and his friends especially enjoyed the gameroom with its pool table and arcade room and we all enjoyed a movie night in the theater room. Tammy is very responsive to any questions you might have and I highly recommend her house for your trip to the Somerset area!

The house was great! Cozy, but spacious enough for two families with children. The location couldn’t be beat for a ski vacation- less than 5 minutes to Hidden Valley and 15 min to Seven Springs. Also very close to parks that we didn’t have time to explore. The host was welcoming and communicative.

I am a mother of three and spend my time renovating and managing our rental properties. As a mom, I know that some of the best memories are made on vacation. This is why I have worked hard to provide the best possible experience for our guests. My goal is to provide a fun, family friendly space that everyone will enjoy so that each person that stays at our property walks away relaxed, refreshed and filled with great memories from their experience.

Why they chose this property

The Fern Mountain neighborhood is unique in our area because it offers private wooded lots so our guests can feel like they have their own space even when they are conveniently located close to the local ski resorts. Our 2 acre corner lot and spacious fire pit area that seats 13 is perfect for guests who want private space inside and outside the house.

What makes this property unique

Not only is our mountain getaway in a great location, but there are plenty of amenities inside and outside to keep everyone busy if you decide not to venture out. Our arcade, pool table and theater room are guest favorites, and our huge fire pit area is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. You will find plenty to do regardless of whether you visit the resorts and parks nearby or choose to just sit back and enjoy your time with friends and family at the house.
