Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Communication
very outdated. Poor communication with host. Very few supplies at cabin.
The porch almost collapsed when we walked on it. We were greeted with the smell of musky something dying and heavy cleaning chemicals. Everything was dusty and full of cobwebs as we walked through. My wife pointed out the mouse poop on the fireplace hearth. The bathroom was devoid of towels, the cabinets were sinking into the rotten floor, no firewood for the fire place, the kitchen counters were broken and falling apart. I am an Army veteran who can sleep just about anywhere. I was shocked at what I was paying for what I received. We turned around and left without even unloading our bags. I would not pay what I did for this place.
The host was very welcoming; however...*There was only 1 roll of toilet paper. We had to go purchase some more toilet paper to make it through our stay.*The towels were so small, it was hard to shower and dry off with those towels plus only 3 towels & washcloths for 2 days for 3 adults, just didn't seem enough. *There was absolutely no trash bags to be found in the entire cabin. We had to go buy those and we were not aware that we'd have to provide our own toilet paper, trash bags, and fire wood. *There was no plunger for when/if the toilet got stopped up. *When the fireplace & fire pit were advertised, we thought fire wood would be available. We didn't realize that we'd have to go buy our own fire wood. *We were told that housekeeping would bring trash bags, more towels, washcloths, and toilet paper but they never came. *Better locks for the doors and blinds in the cabin that aren't torn with big holes would make guests feel safer. Positive things...*ALLOWING us to have the late check out was a HUGE BLESSING!! *The cabin was spacious and cozy *The 2 wing back chairs were nice to have as well as the big couch & we loved the big fireplace in the bedroom. *The scenery was beautiful and having the fire pit outside was so nice. We enjoyed that as a family.
