This charming cottage/cabin is the perfect place to relax and restore! With enchanted Mountain View’s and magical woods. Near Ellenville. Decorated w Mid Century Modern furniture, TV, charcoal grill, fire pit, outdoor dining table and Adirondack chairs. Fast Spectrum WYFI. And a large smart tv. Two bedrooms w Queen beds (one is a smartnumber). New utility clothing rack in primary bedroom. Retro bathroom w subway tile shower. Enjoy a sunny dining room with a sofa . And a cosy living room with a faux fire in the fireplace. Beautiful views out of every window. Big grey loungy sofa to watch Tv or sunsets. Naponach is a fantastic enclave just outside of Ellenville with close access to shopping and restaurants. The house was clean and stylish, and located in a very quiet rural area. There were numerous amenities and a lot of attention to detail which was greatly appreciated. The only negatives was the lack of a microwave in the kitchen, and the washer/dryer were not in-unit but located next door in the owners suite. We would definitely consider staying here again.

I might consider a microcar , even though I don’t like them. They’re good for heating up things. Thank you for your suggestions and input. I hope you’ll return to the enchanted red cabin. Best Kate

The cabin is absolutely incredible. Nestled in the woods, but not too far away from other people. It overlooks what was once a lake, but has since drained. At night, it’s a sea of fireflies. During the day, you have gorgeous views of the mountains. There is plenty to do in the area, especially hiking. Kate was an incredible host. She provided everything we needed, from shampoo, to charcoal, to kindling for the fire. Check in was seamless. The air conditioning in the cabin is great, and the bed is a sleep number! Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’d need. It really does feel like a home. Couldn’t recommend it more!

We had a great time at the red cabin. The house is tucked away on a quiet gravel path, surrounded by trees, a former lake (drained) at the rear, with terrific views in fall. Two bedrooms are perfectly placed on either side of a living-area and kitchen, and it has a single bathroom. Fast WiFi, good heating/cooling, a small kitchen that is nicely furnished with cooking equipment and utensils. Clearly a lot of care and thought has gone into making this house welcoming to guests (binoculars on a tree stump in the backyard). Although it was rainy fall weather during our stay, one could see this would also be a great place to visit in summer as it has plenty of outdoor seating and grilling equipment. There is awesome hiking, groceries, farmsteads all within half an hour drive. Communication with the host was timely and friendly, and we would love to return.

This is a unique property with exceptional views, over a meadow (x lake) . The land feels enchanted. The house has such charm and comfort with vintage fixtures . I lived here for 2 years and loved it!

It’s so unusual with views that remind me of museums diarama.
Perched up high in the quiet woods with birds, squirrels, peepers and deer. The red cabin is an interesting design of mid century modern/meets lake cabin, meets Japan. The layout is very cosy, comfortable and flowing. Even though it’s small it’s very spacious too. The comfort of the minisplits heat/air find is perfect. And the fireplace has faux burning logs and coal for atmosphere. With a heater and fan. You can enjoy outside w a fire in the fire pit or dinner under the covered patio while watching the birds or sunset! Heaven!
