Location was excellent. The Columbia Heights METRO and Lidl were a 10 minute walk away. The layout of the apartment was good, and the beds were comfortable. The only minor complaint is that the upstairs tenants’ footsteps were noticeable, especially in the evening.
Th apartment was very cozy and well equipped with all you need Kitchen with utensils, plates, glasses, fridge , microwave, coffee machine filters , 2 single beds, sofa &tv, Great place 2 min walk to tourist info. and national palace , Will be back again.
I have been using rental apps since they hit the market and this one is the ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE of my life. I was made to checkin late after 6pm and not allowed to checkout late. The host called me the day before checkout and asked had I left yet. She was EXTREMELY disorganized and unprofessional. A while later I received texts to my personal phone, threatening me that they would “bring the coos if need be.” If I wasn’t out by 1130. On WhatsApp I was to 1130 and on text I was told 1pm. My elderly mother was staying with me and neither of is felt safe or welcome. We had to leave one night early and pay for a hotel. Upon calling VRBO, after two representatives and 43 minutes, i was given a 50 credit should I decide to book again. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Bugs, the stairwell is painted black and there is no porch light so you could trip. The AC doesn’t work in the front bedroom but, most of all, you are basically roomates with the upstairs people, as you can hear their footsteps and conversations. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Luis stayed with us and was a nightmare from the start.
He demanded that he stayed later because somehow he arrived late and thought it was our fault that he arrived late .
He was inconsiderate after we explained to him that it was not going to be possible as we had another guest arriving.
He insisted on the fact that he was going to stay late as he had a class on the day of check out.
He proceeded to harass us with the fact that he is a Police Officer and knew the law and knew how to uphold and defend the law.
It became a nightmare during the remaining days of his stay as we did not know what was going to happen next since he informed us that he is a Police officer.
He was extremely threatening and we were also scared of what could possible happen next.
I have been managing this home and many other homes in Washington DC since 2014! I love introducing guests to the Nations' Capital City and letting them know about all the FREE sites to see, the FREE entertainment and all that Washington DC has to offer them.

The neighborhood is in a quiet and clean area where the neighbors truly care about the appearance of the area. I love that you can walk to the METRO Train, several supermarkets, bakeries, retail stores, and a Seasonal Farmers Market in the town square.
