This delightful property with sweeping views of Lake Superior features 3 bedrooms - 2 with king beds and 1 with 2 twin beds (plus a queen-sized murphy bed in the office). This retreat is just 10 minutes from Two Harbors, 5 minutes from Gooseberry Falls, and 15 minutes from Split Rock Lighthouse. There is no direct lake access from this property however, you will have many recreational options available to you (including access to the lake) within a short driving distance of this home. A backup generator ensures you always have power. We think your stay will be nothing short of phenomenal.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Take out the trash
Close and lock the windows and doors. Shut off all the lights. Make sure fireplaces are off.
Leave the garage remote on top of the basket stand by the main door.
Wash your dirty dishes or start the dishwasher before leaving. Please wash pots and pans and wooden-handled knifes by hand. Leave beds unmade.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No discharge of firearms or fireworks shall be permitted. Absolutely no loud music or parties. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
All ATV’s and snowmobiles must be trailered while on the property. It is HIGHLY recommended that you have all-wheel or 4x4 in the winter months.
If you misrepresent an animal as a service animal, it is punishable by fines and jail time in MN. Emotional support animals are not service animals.

Beautiful property both inside and out! Location was perfect for going to Duluth for the day or heading north for amazing hikes and views. Home was very clean and comfortable and suitable for me and my husband as well as our 3 kids (ages 6-11) and my in-laws. We felt like we had everything we needed for making meals (including evening s’mores which the kids loved!), playing games, just relaxing, or enjoying the outdoors in the big yard. We couldn’t get over the beautiful views of Lake Superior and the fall colors. Will definitely recommend this property to others!

Two Harbors Hiking Trip

We had a full 8 for a birthday hiking weekend and felt like we had plenty of room. Feels like an actual home with love & care put into it. Great location that feels private but doesn't require an hour drive to get to the cool spots. Everything was well maintained, communication was great, no complaints!

We had a 5 night stay that was fantastic! The home is roomy and functional. We enjoyed the fire feature on the deck for sitting outside in the evenings. It put off a nice bit of heat and lovely ambiance for evening cocktail sipping. Having a view of Lake Superior and lovely wooded surroundings was awesome! The upstairs bathroom is very large. Mattresses were comfortable in every room. The main floor bathroom is just a half bath. It would have been nice to have a second shower, as we had 6 adults sharing the one bathroom with a shower.

Why they chose this property

This property is owned by my brother and myself. It was our father's property for over 30 years of his life. He had the place built to his specifications back in the early 1990's. Unfortunately, as he neared his 80’s, he succumbed to dementia and we had to remove him from his home so he could be cared for properly. We decided at that time to start renting his home as a short-term rental to defray the costs of his assisted living care. We spent the last 2 years remodeling and preparing this place for you, the Guest, to enjoy this property just like he had.

What makes this property unique

Although there is no direct lake access from the property, you do have sweeping views of Lake Superior. On a clear day, you can see the shores of Wisconsin from the house and you will often clearly see ships on the lake as well. This is a perfect spot to catch any aurora activity that might be happening. We have a lot of deer that come onto the property and there is also an established wolf pack in the area as well. If you are lucky, you can see a variety of wildlife on the property.
