A very fun vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Well maintained. Kids loved the bunkbeds. Kitchen is fully equipped. Just a few steps to the beautiful beach. Located in the heart of Destin, in my opinion. Quiet spot with very little outside noise. Family friendly. Definitely worth a repeat stay. Small bar of soap is provided, as well as toilet paper. Bring other bathroom necessities. No provided beach accessories that we saw (no biggie). Umbrella and two beach chairs were included with the stay. Make sure to go early to get yours!

Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Sandpiper for years. The property management always goes above and beyond to accommodate our stay. This unit was very clean and had everything that we needed except an ocean view. The walk to the beach wasn’t that bad but not being able to hear the Waves roll in was a disappointment. We will make sure to get more details next time we make reservations that are described as gulf view. We do love Destin.

Unit 1124 was wonderful. Modern and updated! Nice in that we have just updated our Home. We were right on the beach so we could just go in for whatever was needed or forgotten. My new favorite 😍 💕 home away from home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent. It was very comfortable. Tranquil days on our little deck enjoying the sunshine. The sliding doors were a little stiff for opening. Bring your own oven mitts, dish tray for drying dishes, cork screw, deeper cereal bowls. It would have been nice to have them provided. Easy to pick up with groceries. Having the small par 3 golf course available was awesome. All included. Activities were wonderful. Yoga, water aerobics, game night, cards and darts and more. Loads of fun and super friendly guests. Pet friendly. We will book again.

I should have done a little more research because i wasn’t able to catch that beach breeze sitting in the balcony. The only negative thing I can say is, I was not warned when there was going to be a maintenance check. The maintenance guy walked in right as I was getting out of the shower. Scared the **** out of me. Please take this suggestion, warn your guests if there will be maintenance checks during someone stay.

Highly Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Sandpiper Cove (SPC) in the past & had a wonderful experience. I'm typically the person who leaves positive reviews, however, this time SPC completely disregarded several of my initial concerns after checking in. The unit had not been cleaned in a very long time. There was dust, sand &/or dirt on every surface, dried food on furniture, peeling paint on walls and doors, mold, mildew & buildup on the glass sliding shower doors & in the washing machine. I'm assuming because the unit hadn't been cleaned or maybe even occupied for some time, the smell was stale & pungent. I contacted SPC immediately after checking in of these issues with photos. There was no way I was unpacking our belongings before it was cleaned, so I went & purchased cleaning supplies to clean. I'm glad I didn't wait because it wasn't until the next day that I received an e-mail back letting me know that they apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused & offered to have the unit cleaned that day. I let them know that I had already cleaned the unit & would have to speak to someone about it. I never received communication after that even after following up several times while we were there. We decided to extend our stay by one day. We paid the fee for the unit the day prior & was never told that the door code would change. On the day we extended our stay on, we were locked out of our unit. We had spent the day on the beach & didn't return until later in the day & by that time, only the security building was open & there wasn't anything they could do to help because the front desk failed to inform us of this change. Once we left, I tried contacting someone several times & was told someone would be in contact with me. Finally after several weeks of asking to speak with someone & being ignored, I asked for a managers phone number. It wasn't until then I got a response that a cleaning was offered & I declined. No one has answered by my e-mail since.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall was a generally good experience because we were close to the beach and had good conveniences. The shower was a little light on the pressure. We were also unaware how to turn on the air conditioner because it wasn’t working when we arrived. We had to shut off all the fuses and start pulling all the switches to turn the place back on and then they started working again. The location was really great.

Reviewer Comments: Pros: bright, large, very comfortable bed, well-stocked kitchenCons: weather in Nov, Dec, Jan is too poor for cost ($3,000 per mth), 1st floor units are noisy if uppers are occupied, dining stools are uncomfortable, furniture is not exactly as shown, small bathroom fan is noisy, hot water is slow in bathroom sinks, tv is too high for comfortable viewing, no recycling, some traffic noise from Gulf Shore Drive (will be much worse during high season)Notes: bunkbeds are for kids only, bring your own cleaning supplies, etc.

First Time In this Unit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was in the perfect spot for walking to the beach. The property was clean and well maintained. The few things that spoiled it for us was NO COFFEE POT. We went out that evening to purchase one that we left to the unit. My previous stay at another unit was better equipped with the cleaning supplies and cooking accessories. This unit had nothing to bake in the oven with nor any paper towels. So plan to make a trip immediately to the store. I would recommend the property to a friend or relative but informed them with what they need to bring to have a better stay. THE INTERNET WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL!

Wonderful stay! Just like the pictures!

We loved our stay at Sandpiper Cove. Everything was very nice and we had everything we needed. The sand right outside your balcony was so nice! Very easy walk to the beach. Definitely would stay there again.
