Wonderful week on the lake.
We have only the highest praise for Johnny's Cottage, from the hospitality of the owners, who provide for a truly enjoyable stay. All of the necessities are there as well as those fun items that enhance a stay at the lake. The setting is peaceful and private, the lake is perfect for swimming and water sports. There is something for everyone. It's a gift to be able to stay here.
Dear Susan and family:
What a delight to know we were a part of your relaxing, peaceful vacation. We are blessed with incredible helpers who keep the house and grounds spotless. We are also blessed with folks like you who have stayed with us repeatedly and take care of Johnnie's Cottage with TLC, thank you . we look forward to your stay next year. God Bless.
Sincerely, Lee and Teresa.
Well stocked and apointed. Clean and comfortable
The location was perfect, the lake was perfect, the house was perfect for our needs. Cant imagine a better family experiance. We will return !
Our family loved Johnnies cottage!! We had 4 kids ages 10 to 18 and they all had a blast. We loved kayaking around the lake, the swimming was great and the water was warm. The evenings were beautiful and we all enjoyed fishing off the dock. We caught over 100 fish, mostly small pan fish but we also caught some large catfish and a pretty large bass. After the fishing fun the kids enjoyed the movie collection and we had family movie nights. Lee and Teresa have thought of everything you will need and have truly made this feel more like a home then a rental. We will definitely be back to Johnnies cottage.
Johnnie’s Cottage goes the extra mile
Johnnie’s cottage was just about the perfect place for us to take our vacation. The property is meticulously maintained and furnished: It is clean, the beds are comfortable, the cookware is nice, the knives are sharp and there are plenty of games and videos for when you need a break from outdoor fun. It was safe for our young kids and they loved the playground equipment.
Great spot on the lake!
Great spot on Lake Cocolalla! Comfortable home with a great deck overlooking the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boats and fishing off the dock. This home is nicely decorated and very clean. Owners were very accommodating. We will be back!
Dear Marci and family
Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at Johnnie's and also taking such great care of our Cottage. We were thrilled to know you enjoyed the many extra amenities we offer at our Cottage, ( paddle boat, kayaks, etc.) You mentioned the deck. it's one of our favorite spots to have our morning coffee or just gather around at the table and play cards, eat dinner or whatever. We look forward to your return and hope you have a blessed year.
Sincerely, Lee and Teresa
Amazing and fulfilling trip for preschoolers and teenagers!
The owners were extremely helpful and the home was beautifully prepared when we arrived. The kids played games on the downstairs patio every morning and enjoyed 1 of 100s of videos to help them wind down at night. In the afternoon they put miles on the paddleboards and kayaks and played on the swing set out front.
The outdoor dinning table was perfect for meals and there were no bugs or bees to interrupt!
Most days the kids preferred to use the outdoor shower to keep clean, which kept the sand out of the house.
The lake was over 70 degrees and was shallow enough to stand in clear out to the dock which helped me with my water worries. The water was clear enough you could see the fish swimming too!
The location was amazing as well, it was only 15 minutes from Sandpoint and 40 min from Couer'd Alene. We were able to make trips to local attractions without a problem.
I even loved the washer and dryer set up!
The only negative was that the upstairs bedrooms got pretty warm in the evenings and the train runs throughout the day & night. My kids slept with white noise so they were able to block out the noise from the train.
My teenage nephew who went with us is already asking to go back!
Dear Michelle and family:
We really enjoyed having you folks. Thank you for taking the time to provide such a wonderful review of your stay and for the tender loving care in which you treated of our Cottage.
We do have trains run on the opposite side of the Lake and that is one of the reasons we have available window fans for both upstairs bedrooms. It is all that is needed to cool the rooms from an especially hot day and the white noise is great for those who are bothered by their sound. Most guests are not, but we do understand. The whole Sandpoint area is a charming spot to vacation with many many beautiful attractions, including Lake Cocolalla. Trains are a part of that charm.
We look forward to your return.
