“Peaceful paradise on Lake Lure” (description of a recent guest) – complete with pontoon boat and incredible mountain views from amazing porches! Sleeps 12, with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths.
The Enchanted Cottage is the ideal spot for a memorable, relaxing mountain lake getaway in beautiful Western North Carolina.
Situated less than 15 feet from Lake Lure on the Main Channel, this classic lake house features mountain ranges so close you feel a part of them, porches on three levels (one screened), a firepit, dock and unlimited use of our pontoon boat, kayaks and canoe.
Want to get out and explore? The town of Lake Lure is just a mile away, and Chimney Rock State Park is two miles past that.
The Enchanted Cottage has three full baths and sleeps 12 comfortably via four bedrooms with queen-size beds, plus two twin beds with trundles (totaling four twins). The same goes for meals: Our large table seats 10, and nearby bar stools seat two more.
A few other details about the house itself:
• All linens, towels, soap and shampoo are provided.
• We have board games, puzzles, foosball and a Wii for indoor game play.
• There is a full kitchen with a coffee maker, microwave, crock pot … just about everything you need.
• The cottage has central AC and heat, but you may end up not using the AC, as the cool breeze off the lake feels fantastic!
One of our visitors had this to say about the Enchanted Cottage: “The house is nice but you honestly don't spend much time in it. The dock and porches are fantastic. The use of the boat is great for driving out to a cove and swimming or finding the rope swing.”
We feel the same way!
Our large screened porch with two ceiling fans is perfect for rocking, dining, playing games, napping, or listening to music (and it’s big enough for everyone). The outdoor fire pit is a great spot for enjoying making S’mores and telling tall tales. And be sure to head out to the top of the boat house for some incredible star gazing!
Our pontoon boat is your ticket to enjoying all of Lake Lure: cruising the lake, fishing (permit required) and boating out to some of the lake's restaurants, like Larkin's on the Lake. Our guests love having unlimited use of the boat, especially since pontoon boats rent for $600/day on the lake!
