The Yellow Creek Cottage is the perfect location to unwind with family and friends while enjoying the peacefulness of the outdoors. The outdoor fire pit and Yellow Creek provide a wonderful location to fish along with Easy access to Lake Raystown, Juniata River and many more outdoor activities.

Sleeps up to 6 persons comfortable. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, central air/heat, Electric fireplace, gas grill, iron, ironing board, fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, Landline telephone (No Cell Service), high-speed Internet, and washer/dryer. The bathroom is equipped with towels and linens. The bedrooms are equipped with extra blankets and linens.

The house was extremely clean and decor was charming. I enjoyed watching an eagle fly back forth on the stream bed in front of the property 4 times. Owner was extremely attentive and kind coming out in person to answer our questions. Very nice rental for our purpose. 5 Stars

We were very pleased with the cabin. It was everything that it was described to be. Well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The only thing that wasn't, was that the propane tank on the grill was empty. Most likely due to whoever used it last didn't shut it off. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in that area.

This was the second time I rented this property. Everything was great. Property was clean and had all the amenities needed for a great stay. Will rent again.

With our ages & physical bodies...not that good but for young family would be great. Host was very good at answering my questions. I would recommend to people in better/ younger shape.

Yellow Creek Cottage is a 5 star gem! 117 other reviewers also agree. Itā€™s the perfect place to relax and unwind. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck watching the neighbors busy chickens. It was nice having the fire pit so close to the creek. We enjoyed several evening fires listening to the flow of the creek. The cottage is located in such a peaceful area. It was immaculate, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Cody was great to work with. You should absolutely book a stay here.

Incredible location and a very homely feeling

The stay was amazing. The house is very old style with a layout thatā€™s a little odd being the tv is in the entry way but each room is a little smaller than something like an A frame cabin. Still the gem of this place isnā€™t the house but the location being 30 feet from the creek which is beautiful. We woke up to chickens in the yard the next day. Non stop fishing and the fire going. Overall the house was immaculate with very cool furniture throughout. The only negative would be the bathroom being upstairs and lots of little steps in each room. So definitely donā€™t rent if you have bad knees or mobility problems. The cohen station was a few minutes away and a little Mennonite town down the road had other amentities. Rookeez bar nearby is good for some local drinks. Cody was a great host as well. Place had everything we need.

Exceptional Stay

We haven't stayed at many VRBOs, but this one is by far the best we've experienced. The house was really clean and cozy, equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. The property has great views from nearly every window. Additionally, Cody was exceptionally responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely stay here again!

Great getaway in Hopewell

We stayed at the property over Thanksgiving. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable and overall the property had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. There were games and puzzles. The creek is across the street and had the weather been warmer it would have been so much fun to sit outside around the firepit and enjoy the evening stars.

Nice cottage

Very well maintained, tastefully decorated, more than adequately supplied, quiet, and enjoyed the sound of the creek across the road. We were surprised with the upstairs layout that contributed to some lack of privacy. Being a remodeled old house, there were several places where you need to either take a step up or step down while going from area to area within in the house. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it especially for two people.

Me and my boyfriend absolutely loved it here! Beautiful home, beautiful view of the creek out front and you can see all of the stars in the sky at night in this location! I will definitely be booking again in the future!

My second visit, and can't wait to go back

I just love this home. Great location, awesome views of the sky and mountain (and the stream out front). Big yard. Quiet location (one of my favorite parts!), peaceful, and just a lovely cozy house. Well stocked kitchen! I enjoyed lounging in the living room during a rain storm. Looking forward to coming back again. Definitely one of my favorite vacation homes that I have rented!!!

Charming Country Cottage

A very clean and comfortable, well-equipped and well-decorated, country cottage in a lovely and peaceful setting. The location is not far from all the local points of interest and restaurants. We had a relaxing and fun time here and plan to return again!

Great getaway

Great weekend with family, Home is nestled away in a quiet location with a firepit that overlooks the creek. Home was very clean and supplied with everything you need to enjoy your time away. Even had a fireworks show from neighbors that the grandkids enjoyed while making smores at the firepit. Short drive to the lake (20 minutes) depending on launch you want to access..No cell service but Wi-Fi at house, but vacation is time with family not electronics. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway with all the amenities of home. Thanks again...

What a lovely home! Peaceful, quiet, nicely furnished, and a great location. It was my first time staying there and I already booked it for another stay. So cool and comfortable. Absolutely a great way to relax from the busyness of life. I highly recommend this wonderful home!!!!
