About this property

Good Vibes Maui Camper Van

Let the good vibes shine down on you like the tropical sun.

Your camper van vacation is fully rigged and ready to roll. it comes complete with everything y ou need to enjoy a truly unforgettable Maui vacation experience.
towels, flashlights , power inverter, all eating and cooking utensils , including a cook stove and free propane, everything is et up for two people inclduing free snorkel gear, boogie baords, camp chairs , table and more you name it we have it

we also offer $5 per day surf board rentals most affordable prices on the island

You must be 21 + have full coverage auto coverage with a provider in the United States . a security hold for 750$ will be applied to your credit card and released after a successful check out.

( I have other camper vans that have full coverage insurance available for a fee. This camper is no longer eligible for RV coverage due to age limitations )

Due to the size of this camper vans transmission and engine it does not make the drive to Haleakala Crater or the visitor’s center. Driving to Hana is absolutely ok .
Traveling between Kipahulu and Kula is not permitted as this road is dangerous, secluded and often loses due to landslides or road construction

As you can see our camper vans are priced far below what the high price of visiting Maui Reflects. We keep our rates comparatively low considering you are renting a vehicle and sleeping accommodations bundled together for less than $150 a day . the average price of a hotel is close to $800 night and a BNB style condo goes for $175-$1000 a night .
please adjust your expectations accordingly

The idea is to adventure and camp.. Camping does not mean 5 star hotel accommodations.

For nearly a decade I have hosted close to 1000 guests .
The people who enjoy their visit to Maui while utilizing my camper vans are Nature enthusiasts, people with camping experience and people who love adventure and go with the flow ,
I love hosting guests who understand they are not renting a 4 wheel drive Jeep and staying in a luxury hotel.
When Camping you can and should expect inclement weather , Bugs and other wild life. Maui has 7 different micro climates all of which bring separate challenges from range to heat and everything in between.
Camp grounds are best secured 1 month in advance for the most desirable locations. we also have 2 spots on the south shore of the island we can recommend for free over night stays near the ocean. ( not a camp ground)

Please reach out to me with any question regarding the vehicle , accommodations or general concerns prior to hitting that book button .

sincerely

This was the worst experience. We waisted our first day of vacation, after traveling for 13 hours, trying to resolve issues. After a full week we still have no resolution, no one reached out from VRBO in any capacity. We immediately noticed there was no cold air blowing and reached out asking for help. After being told "its never had AC" even tho AC was on just blowing hot air. I was told "we wouldnt list that the camper had new tires and we wouldnt list if it had AC, its never been a problem for anyone before". Mind you, while we are talking we are sitting in a hot vehicle in a hot parkinglot. The ad on VRBO never said there was no air/AC. On our vacation there was a geat waive and regularly high 80s-90s. It felt 100 in the passenger seat, I got burnt before we set foot out of the car. When I reached out to VRBO I was told that had nothing to do with them and I should reach out to Expedia. I was flabbergasted. Could not believe I was rudely being turned away with no sympathy and no sorrys.VRBO helped in no way after I asked repeatedly for a refund or someone to reach out to help us find another vacation rental since ours did not have AC nor bathroom which was stated in our rental. When we left our vehicle we left it at the buisness address were told we needed to take it and drop it off at random buisness further away. I still cant beleive it but when I showed up to drop off vehicle the worker came out and told me I needed to move it and it was not suppose to be there.

Unfortunately, this guest did not inquire about the camper’s amenities prior to booking. The listing clearly states that this camper does not have air conditioning, and like most camper vans (as opposed to full-size RVs or motorhomes), it does not include a bathroom. As part of Maui County regulations, camper van rentals require guests to stay in designated campgrounds or approved properties where restrooms and showers are provided. It appears this guest did not do much planning before her trip and arrived with expectations more in line with a resort experience. When those expectations weren’t met, the frustration was unfortunately directed outward — toward us, rather than toward the situation or lack of preparation. From the start, the guest was unwilling to give the experience a fair chance. She did not seem aware that Maui in June can be quite hot, nor did she want to take us up on our offer of a different camper van with air conditioning at no additional charge. Regarding the return: she is correct that we requested she drop the van off at a different location than the one she picked it up from. This was only due to it being after business hours, with our team already off for the day. Unfortunately, she did not communicate her return time, and instead left the camper without following the instructions we had provided — on private property that was not authorized for drop-off. This put us in the position of needing to explain the situation to the property owner and show them the text messages proving the instructions we gave her. As a host with over 8 years of experience offering camper vans on Maui, I take pride in guest satisfaction and always aim to accommodate where possible. In this case, we did our best to offer solutions — including a different vehicle — but the guest was not open to them. One thing I absolutely agree with her on: VRBO’s customer support was extremely disappointing. Despite my attempts to coordinate a resolution with the guest through VRBO, the agent I spoke with was rude, unhelpful, and ineffective. I understand this further fueled the guest’s frustration, and I sincerely regret that neither of us received the support we needed from the platform.
