We had a nice vacation

  • 4 of 5

We had a great week in Delaware with super weather all week. The house worked well for us with plenty of room. Some suggestions - if you're are renting a beach house you should have beach chairs for your guests. We were fortunate to have brought our own. The home needs a technology update. The bedrooms have TVs the size of computer csreens and no cable access.

Owner's Response: Thank for the info and sorry about that. The beach chairs had been trashed by earlier tenants and we forgot to replace them. The TV in the master is a flat screen. Two of the other bedrooms have old style boxes but do get standard channels if the cable cord is plugged into the wall. Upon recent visit I noticed they all three downstairs were not plugged into wall. The living room has a large flat screen HD TV and is cable connected and does have DVR taping capability.

Great home, good location, well managed

  • 5 of 5

This place was great for what we needed. We had a guys weekend at the beach with around 11 of us. Lots of beds on the ground floor and a great, open living space and deck upstairs. The space allowed us a place to hang out all together when we were at the house and the deck proved a great place to spend time and eat dinners off the grill. The place was nice and clean with amenities as needed.

Location wise, it's only about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute or so walk to the bars and restaurants. Again, perfect for our group that didn't want to have to worry about transportation. The street was a bit quiet and dark at night, but nothing that presented a problem.

Leading up to, during, and after our stay Rob was great at staying in touch with me about what was needed, answering questions, and then finishing everything when all was said and done. I very much appreciated his responsiveness.

Definitely would stay here again and it was nice working with Rob.

Wonderful fully equipped house!

  • 5 of 5

This house was wonderful! The first floor bedrooms are all very comfortable and separated from each other - you don't even know that people are in the front bedrooms when you're in the back. The bunk bed room would be perfect for a couple of families with a bunch of kids to share! The laundry room also had some detergent, etc. if you need to throw in a load of wash. The upstairs is huge and plenty of space for everyone to hang out together or individually. Upon arriving, the air conditioning wasn't working and the house was very warm but both Rob and his son worked with us right away, even getting a technician out that night (at about 11pm) to take a look at it. When that didn't work, they sent a repair man first thing the next morning to replace the part and had it fixed by midday. But after we opened up all the windows and got the breeze going, the house was pleasant to sleep in even without the AC. The kitchen is fully equipped (as a big cook) complete with a GREAT grill on the deck with extra propane and grill equipment. The kitchen also had some things like condiments and olive oil so you didn't need to bring your whole kitchen with you. Parking was easy for 6 cars and Rob was very responsive with any inquiries or questions leading up to staying and while we were there. Easy walk to the beach and the restaurants/bars in Dewey. Even with multiple girls getting ready to go out, we never had problems with hot water or bathroom space. Great for multiple families, a group of friends, or a family reunion!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

the house was wonderful, it was very clean, had everything you would ever need, the lay out worked perfectly as all the "living" was done on one floor and the sleeping on the other. I would suggest a 1/2 bath upstairs maybe the pantry, and also a few more bikes. The screen room down stairs was perfect for all beach related things and a great way to clean everything off. The shower outside was perfect...the whole experience was wonderful and they house was very homey and comfortable and so functional. We had a perfect vacation and with a blended family of 7 kids and 2 adults that doesn't come easy.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this great Dewey Beach Property! The location is excellent - a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach. Also very close to restaurants and shops as well as the Jolley Trolley which takes you to downtown Rehoboth. We enjoyed family bike rides every morning back by the bay or into Rehoboth. The house is spacious for a large family with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. There is a great kitchen/ family room for entertaining which leads out to a relaxing deck with a table, chairs, glider and grill. The kitchen is well equipped to cook and sit down for a nice meal together. The bunk room has a closet full of games for family fun on those rainy days. We truly had everything we needed at this house for a wonderful vacation. We look forward to staying here again in 2015.

Family friendly house in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this family friendly house in the quiet neighborhood of Ann Acres. We loved the location as it was an easy walk to the beaches, bars and restaurants in Dewey yet also the jolley trolley to go in to Rehoboth. We parked our cars when we got there and never had to use them until we went home. Many mornings we walked up to Fifers market (located at the end of the street) for breakfast sandwiches or produce. It was nice to head out to the bars/restaurants in Dewey but then have a quiet place to retreat to at the end of the evening.

The house has an inverted floor plan so the bedrooms are on the bottom floor. There are 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The master has it's own full bath and the bunk bed room has it's own half bath which came in handy. The bunk bed room is spacious enough to sleep 6 people! For a rainy day there is a closet stocked full of games. There is a patio off the back two bedrooms where you will find beach chairs, bikes, beach wagon and toys for the kids, and boogie boards. We figured we would only use the outside shower for rinsing off after the beach but some of us ended up taking every shower out there as it was so spacious and comfortable!

Upstairs the family room and kitchen are combined to make it great for entertaining. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you need for cooking meals (if you decide to eat meals in). There is even a wine cooler for chilling wine, a very nice touch!

The deck is right off the family room and has a gas grill, a glider, and a huge table and umbrella. The umbrella connects to your iPod for listening to music. We spent many evenings out there enjoying a beverage, sitting on the glider and listening to music.

The owners were easy to work with and responded timely to emails, etc. We hope to rent this house again next summer. Thanks for a great stay!!
