About Rob Steinberg (Actor)

I fell in love with this city 35 years ago when I arrived at Tulane University as a freshman. Three years ago, I returned to New Orleans to reclaim it as my home. I spent ten years in New York working in the music industry, followed by twenty years in Los Angeles in the film and television industries. I was fortunate enough to graduate from Tulane University and fell in love with the food, the music, and the culture of The Crescent City.

Rob Steinberg (Actor) purchased this house in 2012

Why Rob Steinberg (Actor) chose New Orleans

Just two blocks from the beautiful sanctuary that is Audubon Park, a mile from Tulane University and yet just moments away from the wonder and excitement of the Garden District, Warehouse District's Restaurants & clubs, the French Quarter's venues and famous Frenchman St. Minutes to Tipitina's and the Maple Leaf. Why wouldn't I want to live here? Why wouldn't I want to share that with wonderful people looking for a wonderful place to stay?

What makes this house unique

The home is a beautiful 100 year old Craftsman style house near Audubon Park and in MY favorite city. It's one of the safest neighborhoods in town. I live just above the two VRBO apartments that I have taken the time to beautifully renovate, improve and furnish so that I might share this magical city with friends, both new and old.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The place was clean, comfortable, and convenient. Rob was helpful and friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay!! Would definitely choose to return, and would recommend to others.

Great Place

The unit was very clean, well-decorated, and spacious. Rob was easy to deal with and was very helpful with recommendations. Would definitely stay here again when back in New Orleans. Thanks for the hospitality!

Great location, walk to Whole Foods.

  • 4 of 5

Not a lot of privacy as you need to keep doors open for ventilation in the little space. Worked great for our family. Nicely decorated and very clean.

Owner's Response: The suite is over 850 sq ft. and private with it's own entrance and doesn't have access to the other suite. There is a private master bedroom and there is a full size bed in a much smaller bedroom that has a fan/heater. However, Amy is correct that on very hot nights the bedroom door should remain ajar in order to get the AC, which is capable of cooling 1000 sq ft., from the main living area. The smaller bedroom has it's own door to the bathroom. On cooler and cold nights it's not an issue.

We absolutely loved the place and could not have asked for more.

  • 5 of 5

The place had everything that we needed and was extremely comfortable. The location was wonderful and very good for walking around to the park, the river or the cute stores on Magazine. Rob, the owner, was very attentive to our needs and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Parking was very convenient and we were on the street right outside our front door. I would definitely recommend this place if you need a great place to stay. There were two of us and we each had our own bedroom and the one bathroom worked just fine for us.

Nice property in great area, near Zoo, shopping and food and (mostly) wheelchair accessible

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay here. There are two bedrooms and a nice size living room area. Our son uses a wheelchair and had little problem getting around. The only areas he needed help with were getting into the building (there is a small 2" step as you step in) and getting into the kitchen (it's too small for a wheelchair). Other than that both bedrooms were fine as was the bathroom. If you are used to getting around the rough sidewalks of New Orleans the local area will not present any challenges. Rob was great about getting back with us right away on questions and was helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do locally. The kitchen had all the basics that you could want (fridge, oven, range, microwave, toaster oven). Some nice things were the Brita water filter and a full set of plates, cups and other items. There is a washer and dryer on site which worked well. The weather was cool to warm and the heater/AC worked well. New Orleans downtown is about 15 minutes away, so that was great as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful spot for Mardi Gras weekend!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter and I came in to celebrate Mardi Gras and had a spectacular week. The location could not have been better for us, close enough to walk to the park, parades, shopping and food!! We will be back.
