No water for two days! No air conditioning for two days!

To check in, you are hit with a daily resort fee, which allows you a towel at the over crowded pool or beach. If you want a chair at the pool-go at 7:30 AM, if you want a chair at the beach 8:30 AM. Over-crowded - and though you rent from an owner-you do not get the privileges of being an owner - 20 chairs at the pool sit unused, while people sit on the ground, because they are not owners. Over priced, over crowded. Four elevators for 41 floors. Then throw in no water and air conditioning. Over priced. Disappointing. One and done.

No pool/smelled like smoke

The condo view was as advertised. However the condo smelled like smoke. In addition you have to pay a $250 "resort" fee at check in for use of the pool(s) and chairs on the beach. The chairs are 0.3 miles down the beach (about 5 to 6 minute walk), they are not the ones that are literally at the condo's beach access. Also 2 of the 3 pools were closed down for maintenance. 1 was actually drained. So the beautiful pool deck with bar had a drained pool and caution tape every where. I notifed the condos management company, but they have now gone silent with no resolution. 7 days since they last replied back with "we have not heard back from the owner". I would of assumed the resort would of notifyed the owner of the upcoming pool issues prior to our check in. At the very least we should have been told by the resort as they were charging us the $250. All this, and we were still amazed by the views. Just wish the condo itself was cleaner (hair along the baseboards and hand prints on all the glass doors) and was actually a non-smoking room. Oh and the drain in the common bathroom didn't drain well at all. Just little things that continued to add up. Especially for the price tag.

Make sure to read the reviews.

I was not sure if the reviews would be correct but in this unit it smells like covered up cigarette smoke. It's not unbearable but for a non smoker I would not be able to last a week in that place, and I reserved it for weeks. The problem is when I got to the room I realized it but it was too late, so I refused to stay there because of the smell but since it was in the contract already they had the right to keep the money with no refund. So I lost the money and didn't stay, it covered them but sucked for me as a potential future client.

All in all a nice place, pretty well located. Pictures do it justice. Although condo is on beach, there was quite the walk to get to our reserved section on beach which put a damper on things. One pool was operational but nice place, clean gym and facilities.

Not a family friendly resort

Not enough seating by the pool, only 4 elevators given the size of the resort and one was not working, gym equipment not working, 1 pool also not working. Overall, not a good place to take a family vacation. We ended up leaving and loosing 2 nights from our original booking because it was that frustrating. Oh and valet was another nightmare.

Vue exceptionnelle

TrĆØs beau condo avec une vue exceptionnelle, trĆØs confortable. Manquait un peu de serviette , aucun linge de cuisine , sac de vidange etc. Bel emplacement. Restaurant , bar et service de valet dispendieux. Belles vacances en famille

Spring vacation

Ocean view was partial but still a great view. Hotel was very clean. Little stingy on towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. Weather was perfect. I do just want to stress this is not the idea beach getaway for a family with young kids. Doesnā€™t have that down home people friendly feel like places in the panhandle of Florida. Lots of people with no filter around young kids. Little bit high class for my taste. Not much to do up and down the road as far as clean family fun. I guess that is expected though being so close to big time Miami. It is Florida though and was an enjoyable vacation.

Too many extra fees

Multiple add on fees, just reviewed my credit card statement - and another fee - for a date I was not even there! Very little supplies provided, a lot less then other condos I have rented. Example: 1 extra roll of toilet paper for a 2 bedroom 32 bath condo rented for a week? Really? No extra garbage bags. Advertized infinity pool not a real infinity pool.

Decent Property

Great building and amenities; the unit is pretty nice if you are very very picky. Everything was clean. You can tell itā€™s just an income property. A number of things werenā€™t great working order. Shower doors, washer/dryer, and the patio furniture. 2 of the beds had hair from previous guests. We had to go and get new sheets from the mall. Very convenient location, the location is worth it-and its a great value if you have a family.

Great fun in the sun

Our unit was lovely and beautifully decorated. . It was very clean, and had a beautiful modern kitchen with nice equipment and housewares. It was great to have a washer and dryer for a beach stay! The Hyde Resort is beautiful with lots of amenities, and a very friendly and helpful staff. Our management company, and itā€™s great staff, including Emily who was really terrific and helped us with whatever we needed, were always available for any questions or help we needed. The resort is in a great location, with lots of nearby restaurants and activities. Great trip! We highly recommend it.

Nice Alternative to Hotel

Overall we had a very nice stay in condo and beautiful kitchen. The level of service varied depending on staff. Pool was very cold which was a real disappointment considering we planned to swim and relax by the pool. Restaurant in the hotel had high quality food and was delicious.

Way up high

Amazing view of water and city. Condo was beautifully decorated. The elevator wait times were extreme. There are not near enough to support the facility. The valet wait time is another extreme. To get from your hotel room to your car takes about 40 min. Staff at resort are not nice. Condo has no supplies such as kitchen cloths or cleaning supplies. No trash bags and typical items you find in a Home Away rental. Overall great views and beautiful condo.

Everything was great with the exception of the beach that was extremely dirty and full of sea weed but thatā€™s beyond anyoneā€™s control. The unit is beautiful and everything super clean. The only problem was that all the elevators broke one day around 5:00pm and we had to wait in the lobby until 8:22pm when they fixed them. šŸ˜© The condo in a great location and we would love to stay there again sometime.

Great spot on the beach!!

We are a family of five that stayed over the Christmas break. We have used online properties in the past and found this experience to be quite seamless. From booking to check in everything was great. Communication with Home Away was fast and accurate always . The 2 Bedroom unit that we rented was exactly as presented ( albeit on the north side of the tower given that one of the photos suggested the south). Regardless, it was exceptionally clean, well preserved and furnished nicely. There was ample room for the five of us and the pool deck was lovely and spacious enough even during Xmas. I would suggest to the unit owner that perhaps to have the unit stocked with some cleaning supplies and a broom would have been helpful. Especially if you do not include housekeeping.We read on trip advisor about the elevator situation and it is true, there were, at times, long waits to take the elevators up and down. Fortunately, only a couple of days were challenging. The restaurant by the pool had a great menu and it was nice to be able to order food right to the pool. At times , they were challenged with service and it would have been better if there were more staff to maintain the demand. Overall, I would say that it was a great spot to be at and close to other great spots along the beach. Thanks, Lorne and Aliza
