It was amazing! The sounds and sites along with the fire pit and excellent condition of the house were all so wonderful. The host was very welcoming and communications were prompt. We enjoyed hiking the trail to Roaring Rum Falls-so many waterfalls and beautiful mountain views, and it was just down the road from Bruce’s Bend. Pine Top Restaurant for breakfast is a must- the most delicious and huge biscuits. At the house, the Black Stone was perfect for our steak dinner. The screened in porch was perfect for early morning Bible study, but my favorite part of the whole weekend was making s’mores and singing praise songs while sitting around the fire.

This is the second time my family has stayed at this property. We love it. It has everything we need and plenty of space for everyone. Everyone loves the creek during the day and th3 firepit or large screened porch at night. Lots of hiking nearby.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Bruce's Bend. The secluded location afforded some much needed solitude. Was lovely to watch the birds at the feeders and a deer on the bank of the creek was a highlight! Fires at night around the awesome firepit and host even supplied ingredients for 'smores which were enjoyed by all! Lots of board games were a big hit with the grandkids. Cooked almost every meal on the Blackstone. This place is top notch!!

This was a great place to relax and enjoy nature. There are plenty of options to sit and enjoy! We loved the screened in deck looking over the river. The kitchen had everything we needed! It was a great time!

We had an excellent time at Bruce's Bend. The house was fantastic, clean, and well stocked. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The Blackstone was fantastic, we did all of our cooking on it! The front unattached porch was very dusty, so we didn't utilize that, but it wasn't necessary with the comfortable furniture in the enclosed back porch. We loved sitting around the fire pit, and appreciated the s'mores supplies that we left for us. The bedrooms were comfortable, with plenty of space for our items. I wished we'd brought a rope, or a way to anchor the tubes to the shore so we could have floated in front of the house a bit more. We did float down the river to just the next bend, but were unable to find a good spot to drop in for a one way float and needed to walk back. We had a great time and will definitely consider coming back!

A really great property and owner. The place was exactly as described. The swing set for the kids was a great addition and a real hit with the kids. The property is super quiet and relaxing. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. I was very impressed with the owner and the communication. This was just a great experience and a stay just as I was hoping for. Thank you!

Bruces Bend is a beautiful property on craigs creek. A great quiet and peaceful location. House is superbly equipped and comfortable. Outdoor space is well thought out and a lot of great space to hang out. Theres a huge deck and black stone grill also. Just an awesome place and location.

This was the most relaxing stay we have found on VRBO. You will not be disappointed. Well stocked kitchen and the accommodations are perfect for family fun. The sights and sounds of the creek are amazing. The best long weekend getaway we can remember.

We love everything about this place. This is our third year staying there and we always have a great time and it's a great house!! There is a lot to do at the house and the kids love the s'mores and the fire pit. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice mountain getaway!
