Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Superior while immersing yourself in the peace and tranquility of the forest. Nestled in the trees just off 61 between Tofte and Lutsen, its a great base camp for local activities yet a perfect space for a romantic getaway, writer's perch or meditation retreat. This apartment style suite with private entrance is a secondary unit in the lower level of a recently built cabin with a nod to the past while enjoying present day amenities including: full kitchen, hi-speed WiFi, king bed, smart TV, gas fireplace and in floor heat.

There is a lot of wildlife in the area. Please do not leave any food out for your safety and theirs.

My husband Tony and I currently live in Iowa but find the North Shore of Lake Superior as a magical place.
I love walking, hiking, biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing so the North Shore is a perfect fit.
When I travel, I enjoy learning about the people and places that I visit.

Although I am new to hosting on VRBO, I have hosted on other platforms in the past. I enjoy being host so I can get to know guests (even if it is just online). I enjoy sharing about our property and the North Shore region if guests are interested.

Why they chose this property

Our cabin is bordered by Superior National Forest on 2 sides while still having awesome views of Lake Superior.
We are just a short distance from so many local activities but while still offering serenity and privacy.

What makes this property unique

Our cabin is located on nearly 6 acres of land bordering Superior National Forest. From the private apartment suite you will be staying in , you will have beautiful views of Lake Superior both inside and out.
Sunrises out on the Adirondack chairs or picnic table with your morning coffee are spectacular.
The privacy is unbelievable since we are surrounded by National Forest land.
