Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We live in Tampa and stayed two nights for a mini “staycation” and it was perfect! Friendly hotel staff, great location, everything we needed was provided to us from chairs, towels, and a beach umbrella. Sure it wasn’t SPARKLING clean, but as a Florida native I understand the expectations for a place at the beach unless you want to pay stupid amounts for a 5 star hotel. There was plenty of parking at the hotel. We were able to walk everywhere we needed. The bar located by the pool has a great staff. I would definitely come back!

Just what we needed

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed in the St. Pete area many times, and this was by far the favorite view we've had. From the balcony, we had an amazing view of the Gulf, we could hear the waves and see the stars at night. Our favorite beach bar is a short beach walk away. The bar, Caddy's on The Beach, even offers complimentary beach yoga, which I took advantage of. We used the kitchen to cook eggs every morning. The beach chairs and beach towels were a huge plus. On other trips, we've bought beach chairs and left them there. The only negative is the bathroom could use updating. You have to hold down the handle of the toilet awhile to get it to flush. And then tub could also use replacing. It looks like it was reglazed once and the glazing is pealing off. It was the perfect place for a quiet, romantic week with my husband! Thank you!

Island inn 609

  • 4 of 5

A nice unit right on the beach with great views. The beach towels & Beach chairs were nice. The unit is an efficiency & works well for a couple that doesn't plan to cook in the unit for more than a couple of meals. The only negative we saw about this unit, was the bath tub was rather slippery (needs anti-slip spots or mat).

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

This review was long time coming. My wife, toddler son and I stayed in this condo for a full week and had no complaints. Super friendly and approachable staff. We made use of the free dolphin cruise tickets and spotted some in the waters in the wild which was pretty cool. The free fat tire bike was an amazing early morning workout.

The condo was clean and tidy and the view of the beach from outside the patio was like a dream.

We bought groceries and did some cooking in the condo. There was a supermarket very close. For fish lovers, hog fish is something you must taste!

We are planning on going back someday. Hope everything stays the same!

Grads Valentine Treat

  • 5 of 5

We found the accommodations very dated. Yes bed was new but mattress was not. Pillows uncomfortable. DVD player not working broken. Bathroom has no water pressure and tub terrible would not hold water. Microwave was 25 years old. Pull out is badly In need of new mattress. Location was ok

Resort fee was ridiculous...no service in return or features what so ever. No restaurant. Not permitted to talk to front desk. No flexibility for Check in or out time so for approximately 18 hour stay not worth the money. Many other places nearby more affordable and many more amenities.

Owner's Response: We're disappointed that it did not meet your expectations. We'll make sure the mattress and pillows are checked and replaced if necessary. Same with the DVD player and Microwave. We're not sure what you mean by the resort fees, as there are no resort fees necessary at this location. We are available 24hrs if needed for any maintenance or Guest issues.

Great View... Dated space...

  • 3 of 5

The view is very nice... a five star view. Closer to the waterline than most hotels on the coast. The location is great as it is close to many restaurants and activities.

The room itself is quite dated. I’m pretty sure the microwave is 1980’s vintage. It seems that a few updates like replacing the microwave would go a long way. Local television channels had very poor quality picture... like watching through a snow fall. WiFi was minimally adequate.

When we arrived we were greeted with torn and stained bed sheets. iTrip was contacted and was very responsive. They took care of that problem quickly and efficiently. I was impressed by the positive attitude that was taken when we contacted iTrip about the issue.

Front desk at the building was friendly and informative.

Explore pristine Florida beaches in the St. Petersburg area, home to Madeira Beach and Treasure Island. Pick from houses, condos and cottages, and get ready to enjoy sugar white sand and warm breezes. Vacations in the St. Petersburg area offer abundant outdoor recreation – on and off the water – a lively arts scene, and award-winning restaurants.

Madeira Beach, located west of St. Petersburg is home to John's Pass Village and Boardwalk, a fun attraction for all ages. John's Pass, or the Pass to locals, offers top dining and nightlife options, family-friendly attractions, shopping and water sports. While walking the 1,100-foot boardwalk, see alligators at The Alligator Attraction and dolphins playing in the Gulf's waters. Walk into dozens of unique shops that sell everything from beachwear to shells to find the perfect souvenir or gift.

Madeira Beach's restaurants welcome family and friends to try the fresh local flavor. Many top-rated restaurants at the Pass feature entertainment, specials and events as well. The Seafood Festival at John's Pass – held annually in October – hosts more than 100,000 guests to celebrate food, music, and arts and crafts.

Water lovers can parasail, rent jet skis or deep-sea fish to complete their beach vacation. John's Pass is also a popular fishing destination and brings in more grouper than any other place in Florida. Visitors can also relax while birdwatching, boating and canoeing, all within easy access of their vacation rental.

Treasure Island – adjacent to St. Petersburg – is another favorite beach town in Florida. Swim, snorkel, fish, parasail and shell at this hot spot, which was named from an early hotel owner who buried and discovered treasure chests on the beach.

Known as a secret spot for sunsets, Treasure Island's 3 miles of beaches serve as the perfect place to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico with someone special. Treasure Island also offers guests fun-filled attractions and things to do, paired with restaurants serving everything from breakfast to fresh seafood dinners.

Other popular attractions in the St. Petersburg area include the award-winning Salvador Dali Museum and Fort De Soto Park, the largest park within the Pinellas County Park System, measuring more than 1,100 acres.
