BLUE COTTAGE is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom standalone house with a private garden. Unlike a condo, you will not have to deal with neighbors above or below. Blue Cottage is professionally decorated and fully renovated. Located on Cannon Street in Downtown Charleston, it is a short walk to Upper King St. and its many popular restaurants and bars including two James Beard recipient restaurants. Enjoy some of Charleston's best local dining with Hominy Grill, Lana, Five Loaves, Two Boroughs Larder, The Grocery, and The Ordinary, all located within 3 blocks of the cottage. For a morning sweet treat try Wildflower Bakery or Sugar Bakeshop just steps away.

The cottage has hardwood floors, two historic fireplaces (non-working for your safety), high ceilings, wonderful natural light, high definition television, a pull out sofa bed, a washer/dryer, and a charming porch and courtyard.

Linens are included. Household items/appliances include microwave, coffee grinder, coffee maker, high-definition television, gas range and electric oven, LeCreuset cookware, disposal, fridge, ice maker, pop-up toaster, tea kettle, speaker connection, hairdryer, iron and board, dishes, tea, coffee, toilet paper, paper towels and soap.

We require a two night minimum stay Monday-Wednesday and a three night minimum stay Thursday-Sunday.

Check In is 3:00 pm and Check Out is 11:00 am. Rates subject to change without notice.

Blue Cottage has one designated off street parking spot.

Blue Cottage Bliss!

I couldn't have had a more relaxing and enjoyable time at the Blue Cottage. It is tucked back from the street so it is very quiet, but the location on Cannon Street is fabulous. Sugar bakeshop 2 doors down, Ladles right across the street, Hominy Grill just on the corner- this couldn't have been better. Excellent time in such a beautiful city- will definitely come back!!

Very beautifully renovated and very comfortable

We were a little nervous about where this was located, but once we got settled, we lost any concerns. Right now there is a lot of activity in the immediate surroundings with renovation but it's a joy to see these properties are being saved for future generations. They are a treasure! We parked the car and never used it again during our visit. We either walked or used Uber to get around, which was a great experience and very convenient, with very reasonable rates.

We would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed meeting the owner as we were preparing to leave, and he is aware of a couple minor issues we had in finding the property (which does not have a visible street number on the building), and a bit of a "cranky" lock box, which he is going to upgrade. Two bedrooms are on opposite sides of living area, which adds to comfort if staying there with two couples.

Wonderful 'Companion' House in an old Charleston Neighborhood

Tiny cottage behind the main house is beautifully decorated, clean, well-stocked and centrally located for visiting this historic town. The neighborhood is in transition, with upgraded homes interspersed with run-down ones. College students appear to be a sizable chunk of its residents.

The only problem was with outside lighting, which we worked around using floor lamps. The owner replaced the bulb of another outdoor fixture.

Be aware that its size requires using the living room for dining.

We will definitely stay here on a future trip to Charleston!
