Welcome to Fun In The Sun Retreat, your unique place in paradise! This newly remodeled property is located north-island with the beach access just steps across Estero Boulevard. A quiet relaxing location for that desired getaway, yet just a short walk along the beach is a kiosk for jet-ski rentals, parasailing rides, and even dolphin tours along a 7-mile stretch of white, sugary sand beach.

Super convenient to the restaurants near the north bridge. Trolley service along the boulevard is available to transport you to Times Square, with all of its restaurants, clubs, and night life.

The property has a fantastic front porch with ambient evening lighting that leads to the property entrance. The nicely furnished living area has comfy sofa, and TV with streaming. Dining area finds a table seating 4, and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything is available that you would need to cook daily multi-course dinners, or simply make a pot of coffee in the morning.

There are two beautifully decorated bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, closet, and plenty of dresser space! The second bedroom has a queen size bed with ample dresser/closet space.

There is a private washer and dryer, as well as a propane grill that is shared. You'll also find parking space accommodating 1 vehicle.

There are many restaurants and shops a short drive north across the bridge towards south Fort Myers. The same is true if you drive south towards Bonita Beach. Water activities abound with fishing charters, scuba and snorkel adventures, jet ski rentals, para-sailing, etc. Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Naples are all modern cities with plenty of shopping, dining and sightseeing to experience. The South West International Airport in Fort Myers is close by for convenience as well.

Dogs restricted to 25 pounds or less, certain breeds restricted, and additional fees apply. Pets restricted to dogs only, no other pets allowed and penalties enforced. Excess cleaning charges may apply.

Had everything needed to start our stay. Nice and comfortable bed and short walk to Time Square was great, and sometimes jumped on the tram.

Great Location

Overall, the location and communication were great. However, the pool was unusable, which was very disappointing since it was one of the main reasons we chose this property. I contacted the rental agency on the second day of our six-day stay, but unfortunately, it wasn't cleaned until after we had already left.

Had a Fabulous Vacation at Fun in the Sun Retreat at Ft Myers Beach and Would Do It Again in a Heartbeat

We really enjoyed our stay on Estero Boulevard, the Fun in the Sun Retreat. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. In addition, the response of the property mgt people was great. Finally, the location was ideal for us - located close to the beach and all amenities. Thanks for making our stay perfect!

Great location

Fun in the sun was a top notch accommodations for my birthday trip this year. Across the street from the beach and 2 blocks from downtown FMB. The house had a private pool and 2 bedrooms with a full kitchen and washer dryer combo. Big enough to sleep 8 if you bring a blow up mattress. Our dogs loved it too!

Really bad experience. I would not stay here.Before check-in, the “host,” actually a rental company, required us to sign a separate agreement and send ID outside VRBO. They withheld check-in instructions, including the door PIN, until we did. This defeats much of the purpose of booking through VRBO.We arrived to no power, no internet, and a cockroach outside the bathroom. They did not respond until I called VRBO support, who gave them 5 hours to respond or we would be refunded and rebooked. They finally answered and told me to check the breaker, despite knowing it was behind a locked door we could not access. They sent someone to access it the next morning. It felt like they responded simply to avoid the refund and buy time.Power was eventually restored, but we never had WiFi. They claimed only a separate owner had access to the Xfinity account, who was even less responsive, then blamed Xfinity for not sending a technician. Regardless, we were left without internet for our entire stay. Communication was consistently slow and mostly limited to 9-5. They blamed everything on a “recent storm.”The listing photos are also misleading, especially the pool.Separate from the rental itself, Fort Myers Beach was sadly disappointing. Much of the area still feels vacant and lifeless with empty lots and very little going on. It feels like a shell of what it once was and sadly I would not recommend it as a vacation destination right now.

We sincerely apologize for the unexpected issues you experienced during your stay Robert. We understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive and encounter problems with both the power and internet, and we regret that this affected your experience. The power issue was caused by a simple breaker trip related to the recent storms. Unfortunately, the breaker was located behind a locked door, which is why we needed to arrange access to restore the power. We worked as quickly as possible over the holiday weekend to get this resolved. The internet issue was separate. Xfinity was contacted and came out as soon as possible to address the internet line coming from the exterior of the property. We sincerely apologize that the connection was not restored during your stay. Unexpected mechanical and utility issues are unfortunately outside of our control, but we absolutely understand the inconvenience of being without internet and regret that the resolution took longer than anyone would have wanted. As a gesture of goodwill, we also refunded you for the nights you were without internet. We also apologize for any frustration surrounding communication and the pre-arrival verification process. Our intention is always to provide guests with the necessary information while maintaining the required security and property procedures. As for Fort Myers Beach, the island is still recovering from Hurricane Ian. While there are certainly areas that are still rebuilding, we are encouraged by how quickly the community is coming back, with more restaurants, shops, and activities opening and returning all the time. We hope future visitors will have the opportunity to experience the progress and revitalization taking place throughout the island. Again, we sincerely apologize for the unexpected issues during your stay. We worked as quickly as possible throughout the holiday weekend to address the problems, and we regret that these circumstances negatively impacted your vacation. We appreciate your feedback and hope the refund provided for the nights without internet demonstrates our sincere effort to make the situation right. We have had many satisfied guests at this location as we continue to improve our services. Thank you.

This little cottage is adorable, and my little Havashu loved barking at the passing cars and people. She got to do what she loves in the AC. The house is historic, so it is not perfect, but that is expected. The beach access was across the street, and I had the beach practically to myself. I love that this area was so quiet, but close enough to fun and good places to eat. Oh, dogs can go on thte beach with a six- foot leash! I loved that. We will be returning. Truly " pet friendly"!
